Wonderful place for coffee and a treat! Baristas and staff are super nice! Like a breath of fresh air in this rainy city. Breakfast menu looks good too. Great family place and solo coffee lovers.

In my top 5 favorite brunch places in Seattle. Tasty food — nothing too exotic. The price is very reasonable. Especially for the Sunflour breakfast; you get an INSANE amount of food for under $ 13. The bakery is adorable, as is the décor. They get pretty busy because they are so tasty, so be prepared to wait just a little bit. It’s worth it.

Great food and great service. Price are not bad at all. I’ve live in this neighborhood for 28 years and this restaurant evolved from just serving breakfast to now a serving dinner. My John said they need to improve their coffee. He said is not good but I had tea so I’m fine.

Breakfast here again this morning with my wife, and her brother visiting from Denver, served exquisitely and tenderly by Melissa… perfection! Everything wonderfully homemade, genuine hollandaise sauce, ample, and so delicious for an amazing selection of Eggs Benedict, big chunks of their own corned beef in a hearty hash, fresh organic baby greens lightly dressed, raspberry jam that’s delightfully tangy on real buttered English muffins, nice, rich coffee, perhaps the only restaurant in Seattle which offers Trappey’s Mexi-Pep among a wide array of condiments. My wife asked me, «Have I died and gone to Heaven?» «No such luck,» I replied. Let me live long to eat again many times at beautiful Sunflour — The Bryant Corner Café and Bakery.

I heart this place the way I used to put tiny hearts above the«i» in grade school. The people are astoundingly nice, the food is the most deelicious comfort food(oh man, the tots. THETOTS), and the bakery always has something gluten-free for annoying people like me. The boyfriend who eats meat and gluten and everything tasty has written sonnets to their Shepard’s Pie. There’s good wine and a full bar with a bartender who knows how to mix a cocktail. If you’ve ever read Anne Tyler’s Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant and dreamed of the real deal, this is it, my friends. These people care about their customers. Pro-Tip: If you don’t have kids, avoid Kids Eat Free Mondays. That is all.

I LOVE this place. Their food is always delicious, fresh, and tasty! The service is always top notch, even when they are crazy busy you can expect to be treated well here. Breakfast is the best imo, but lunch was good too! Don’t forget to grab some cookies on your way out… they are the best!!!

This place is a great selection for breakfast around NE Seattle. Of course, there are so few places for breakfast around NE Seattle. Generally pretty busy, but we have never waited more than twenty minutes for a table, even during peak«busy times.» The food has always been good for us, and the servers are always kind and, while sometimes harried, never seem impatient. They are engaging and knowledgeable about the area as well, one need only ask. The selection for food may be somewhat small, but the orange-wheat french toast is truly very good. We are big fans of: their coffee, their cookies, the chicken sausage scramble, the orange french toast, their«hottest» hot sauce on home fries, and the wait staff. A good place to take: friends, out-of-town-visitors, older(8+) children, and dates. They do dinner too, with a rather nice wine list(not extensive, mind you, just a casual selection). Never disappointing, always good, we hope they stay around and open. The area needs a good breakfast spot.

Walked in, sat for 7 minutes without anyone acknowledging me, then the staff busted out into very, very loud cheers for the football game blasting from the television. If you’re into that, cool… but I bailed immediately. …Updating to three stars because business owner reached out and offered a comped meal. She didn’t have to, so that was nice. I’m not going to take her up on the offer, but it was nice to know she watches Unilocal and cares enough to triage a poor experience.

Very loud, I’ve had a better BLT, the salad tasted like dirt, and the seating is in very small quarters. If you’re claustrophobic I do not recommend this restaurant.

Hands down my go to treat! Bryant corner is the place to go if you love 1. breakfast and 2. the best service around! This place serves a breakfast that feels home cooked and a lot less greasy then any other breakfast places around, when I go out to eat I don’t like feeling greasy when I leave. The jam on the housemade bread is to die for as well as the potatoes. My favorite place to go, give it a try :) you will NOT regret it!

I’ve been meaning to go to Bryant Corner Café for a while, since it’s just a few blocks from my house. I’m so glad I went! We had to wait a little while for a table(not surprising, considering it was brunchtime on a Sunday), but once seated, our service was fast and friendly, the portions were large, and the food was delicious! I had the goat cheese scramble(a little on the pricey side, but really good), and my boyfriend had the Sunflower Breakfast, which I ended up stealing a lot of food from — the pancakes were SOGOOD.

The friendliest most welcoming place I have been to! I went in for the first time today, even though they had a full house of guest there today. They still managed to be very friendly and attentive to the guest coming in. I went there to get a cold drink to go. Everyone was so nice. In particular this lady(I am guessing she is the owner) that was welcoming me in for being my first time and gave me a pastry bread for me to try. It was delicious by the way! Customer service like this is very rare to find this days, it’s usually come in order then bye. I would for sure come in again and actually sit down and have a meal. :-)

You step in and feel like you’re being transported in time and place to a fifties era Mom and pop shop. It took me a few visits to acclimate to its 20th century charm, but once I did I was hooked. From 90s tracks on the radio to your-mother’s-wooden-table, Café Bryant is definitely an oddball in a city of tech giants and the latest and greatest. Sara — the owner and operator of Bryant Corner — is warm, attentive and responsive to her customers. Her care and passion for the café is evident in delicious pastries, cookies and coffee. Make no mistake — there are speciality shops serving the best niche coffee or vegan baked goods scattered throughout Seattle, but as for a wholesome mom and pop, a true neighborhood café? Bryant seems to stand out in this regard. While pretension about your craft has its time and place, it’s nice to walk into the neighborhood café and feel welcome and at home. Call it quaint, homey or nostalgic, but whatever you settle on, buy a Cascade Trail cookie and enjoy.

I’ve been here a few times now; and every time the food is consistently delicious. This place reminds me of a small town café you find in the middle of no where-it’s very homey, friendly, local, with big portions and homemade everything! Tried my first drink from the happy hour menu yesterday and loved it; maybe one of the best margaritas I’ve had in Seattle. It’s extra special because they use locally made ingredients! The staff is always really nice. I highly recommend coming here for any meal of the day-or a quick stop for coffee and pastries!

Okay, so this morning I was looking on Unilocal for a good plumber, and I got distracted thinking about good breakfast/brunch places, so I thought I’d look up a place that I’d heard about. In the process, I saw The Bryant Corner listed. I LOVE the Bryant Corner. LOVE it. So I was baffled to see some of the less than favorable reviews. What is up with that? When my sister was in town visiting last August, I took her here for breakfast, and she loved it too! So after reading several reviews, I started wondering if things had gone downhill since August, and thought maybe I should go check it out. And anyway, after all that thinking about the Bryant corner, I had worked myself into a frenzied craving for their smoked salmon benedict, and I knew I had to go and do some research. So I got into my car(did I mention I had been dealing with a plumbing crisis all morning that had ruined what was supposed to be a well deserved relaxing morning without kids running me ragged?) and was about to leave when I had a panicky moment — what if the salmon benedict wasn’t on their lunch menu??? I got out my phone and called to make sure it was on the menu, and the answer was YES, they serve breakfast all day. Did I mention that I LOVE Bryant Corner? I told the woman that answered the phone that I was having a serious craving, and she burst out laughing and said they could take care of that — I love her too. So I’m on a mission. In the car, I have it timed down to the minute. I think to myself that it will take me about 15 minutes to get there, and if I get seated right away and order right away, it might take about ten minutes to get food, and that would leave me exactly a half hour to relax and enjoy my fix before having to leave to pick my daughter up from preschool. Pretty risky, considering how my day had gone so far, but like I said, I had a serious craving. I arrive in about 15 minutes, am greeted by a young woman who tells me to sit wherever I like. I look in the dining room and notice that the only available tables are BIG tables, and I also see that a couple is just leaving a booth(SCORE!). I ask the hostess if I can wait for the booth, and she says yes without missing a beat, and hurries over to clear it for me. I hate being that person that wants to sit at a dirty table when there are other tables ready to go, but I had had a bad morning, and needed a cozy booth, and the hostess made that happen quickly and happily. She brought me some decaf coffee in the cutest orange mug I have ever seen, and I asked her if she could take my order(remember my time limit?). She said she’d go and get my server for me. In less than 60 seconds, a very nice young woman shows up and apologizes for keeping me waiting! Pinch me, I think I’m dreaming. I don’t think I’ve ever received such fast and friendly service! She takes my order, and I sit back and relax with my decaf and get caught up on emails — yep, they have WIFI. My food arrives well within my ten minute timeline, and it is perfection! The eggs are poached perfectly so that the yolks are runny, but not TOO runny, the hollandaise sauce — brilliant. And yummy smoked salmon and perfectly ripe avocado too. Now, I usually just eat one or two of whatever breakfast potatoes come with a dish, but these were SO good, lightly crispy on the outside, and melt in your mouth on the inside, that I ate all but one(I must maintain my dignity and not lick the plate clean). I enjoyed a leisurely meal which was quite relaxing and restorative, just like I hoped it would be, and my craving was completely satisfied. The waitress brought me my check with perfect timing — not too rushed and not a long wait either — and I left the restaurant with enough time to pick up my daughter without getting a speeding ticket. All this to say that once again, The Bryant Corner did not disappoint! Still my favorite breakfast place! Oh, and as I was leaving, I recognized the woman that I had spoken with on the phone before coming out(I think she might be one of the owners). I told her that I was the one that had called about the salmon benedict, and she asked me how I felt, and I told her I was much better! She laughed and said they would make it for me any time, even if I came for dinner, and it’s not on the dinner menu! Did I mention that I LOVE Bryant Corner???

Whatever you do… get the rubin :) mmmmmmmm! Nothing here was bad, good prices, great service! Only bad thing, they need to fix booths! Sat at a broken table. They really are good at substituting items on the memu. If i lived in Seattle id always come here!

I love this place! It’s super comfy/laid back and the ambiance makes you want to stay for just one more cup of coffee. I love the gluten-free pancakes, scrambled and yummy fruit… and cookies, coffee, etc! The employees are so friendly too — can’t wait to go back!

Had another great breakfast here. I ordered a ham, cheese and mushroom scramble. It comes with breakfast potatoes and I had the sour dough homemade toast. The tea was served in an elephant tea pot. Too cute. Our server, Bailey was very attentive. It’s clean, the café is fun and warm and the quality is excellent. Will be back to try something else.

How I heard of this place: My friend Seema first introduced me to the brunch up the road when we were considering a place to meet and catch up over a bite to eat. Type of cuisine: Homestyle breakfast and lunch in a casual setting. The flavors of home, without undue salt or grease, but all of the goodness and comfort of grandma’s kitchen. Ambiance: Walking in to the house-turned-restaurant, one is welcomed into a large lobby, pastry case with fresh baked items at the ready and friendly staff ready to greet and seat you. A bench for patrons waiting to be seated can be found at the windows along the front of the establishment, which take you to the back room, and café seating at wooden chairs and tables reminiscent of grandma & grandpa’s dining room. The mustard-colored walls are accented with green trim, a fireplace roaring to create a true feeling of a family living room. Carpeted floors and local artists work(silkscreens, today), home-made curtains in eclectic, but matching fabric and antique ornaments on the fireplace; what more does it take to create a truly neighborhood feel? What I ordered: My dining companion and I were pleased to find a nearly empty establishment, with only three other tables being used when we entered the premises. On most weekends and times that I have walked past the windows of Sunflour, the space is bustling and busy with people of all ages and demographics. On this occasion, there were new items on the menu, one of which I had to sample: smoked salmon and avocado benedict($ 11.95), with poached eggs over smoked salmon and fresh-cut avocado slices, topped with Hollandaise and served with seasoned skillet potatoes. My dining companion wanted to try something new and went for Joe’s Special($ 9.25), ground beef, green onions, mushrooms, spinach and garlic scrambled with three eggs and topped with Parmesan cheese, served with seasoned potatoes, two slices of buttered toast and an order of bacon($ 2 for four strips). A tall glass of freshly squeezed orange juice($ 3) helped to wash it all down. What I loved: My favorite thing, no surprise to friends who dine with me regularly, was the fresh, perfectly ripe avocado. The smoked salmon was delicious and the buttered toast amazing! The thickly sliced mushrooms and fresh, large leaves of spinach in the scramble, infested with garlicky goodness to a tee. Why I loved it: I love the cozy atmosphere, the home-cooked dishes and the sweet, beautiful faces from the neighborhood. Cost: Low to average($ 6.95 — $ 11.95 per breakfast entrée)
