Eberhardt Karl, DDS

An outstanding dentist. I saw Dr. Eberhardt for many years while living in Seattle, and while previous dentists had been perfectly fine, Dr. Eberhardt was simply better. He cared more, was more thorough, and his work was superior. Here’s an example: I had a tooth with a recurring chip. Dentists in the past fixed the chip and patched it up. Dr. Eberhardt was the first to wonder why it kept coming back. (Other dentists shrugged and told me that these things happen.) Dr. Eberhardt asked if I ever line my teeth against each other. «No,» said. «Hmm,» he replied. He studied the chip, and then lined my jaws in a certain position. «Does this face feel familiar?» I was astounded. It was a certain thing I did with my mouth when I found something cute (I know that sounds weird), a facial expression I didn’t even know I made; the chip started soon after my niece was born. By solving the problem of why this happened, Dr. Eberhardt kept the chip from recurring. (Now I’m able to catch myself before I set my teeth that way; the chip has never returned.) This is the sort of thing that Dr. Eberhardt does – he truly cares and wants the best for his patients, and he goes above and beyond the norm. I now live in New York, and miss being in such great hands.

I had the same problem as another reviewer — I didn’t have enough novacaine and getting fillings was really painful. Dr. Eberhardt said I needed a filing on a tooth that wasn’t giving me any trouble, but he told me it would become an issue if I didn’t do something about it. He put a silver filling in that he said should last at least 10 years. It lasted less than two because it was placed wrong. I had pain in my tooth that had never hurt before, but they told me that it was normal. Two years later I had so much tooth decay around and under the filling that I had to have a crown to fix it.
When I first made the appointment I was in school and on a very limited income, so I spoke with his wife at the front desk and told her I needed to know exactly how much it would cost because I had to save up for it. We went through the cost together and she gave me a quote which I paid at the time I got the fillings. About two months later I got a bill for an additional $ 200, with no explanation.

I’ve been going to this dentist for years now. I really like their dental hygienists and Dr. Eberhardt. They are very friendly and down to earth. You feel really comfortable and welcome there. They are professional and very good at what they do. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Eberhardt is awesome. He’s so great my son, 6 years old, actually begs for me to make his next appointment! If my son had it his way he’d go to the dentist once a month! LOL

Dr. Karl Eberhardt is a pleasant guy that makes you feel comfortable, but unfortunately I won’t be going back after my last experience. The novacaine hadn’t fully kicked in, so he gave me another shot, but didn’t wait long enough for my mouth to be completely numb. I ended up feeling more pain than I ever have at a dentist’s office. My cavities didn’t even really bother me before he filled them, but they became more sensitive and I have been feeling pain ever since (8 months afterward).
Sad to say, I highly recommend that anyone reading this continue their search for a dentist.

I have been a patient of Dr Eberhardt’s for five years. I have always found him to be gentle, honest, and thorough in his care. His manner puts me at ease, and like many people, I pretty much hate going to the dentist! Also all of his dental hygienists are excellent. I always get a fantastic cleaning and great advice about caring for my teeth.

I’ve seen Karl for many years and couldn’t recommend him more highly. He listens well, thinks of angles I may not have thought of, and is open to new ideas. More importantly, he is gentle, thorough, and skilled as he works on my teeth.
