Went by to have dinner tonight, only to find the windows papered over, the sign gone, and door locked. Doesn’t look like this one went over too well…

Love this place! I’ve been here twice with my man. We usually get some of the special cocktails that they have, which are always excellent and completely yummy. We’ve had dinner here twice. I get in the habit of ordering the same thing at restaurants because I get really attached. Hah. So I’ve had the meat(which is slow cooked for a long time — I forget the term for this — but it makes it damn good) with a bunch of sides. My man had the spaghetti last time and liked it. Nice ambience, other patrons are a nice mix of normal people and hip people, just the way I like it. The fact that it’s right down the street from my house is just an added bonus.

So disappointing. It’s predecessor, La Bete, was one of Seattle’s best restaurants. Spaghetti Western has squandered all of its elegance and replaced fantastic and inventive cooking with a crazy mish-mash of so-so barbecue and pastas. Service was lame. Not terrible but not good either. The elegant room is ruined by a live TV playing absurd stuff. There is no chance I’d ever go back except for the presence of the«La Bete Burger» which they had the sense to keep on the menu and remains amazing. The star is for the burger.

My hipster ex brought me here — yeah… Aspiring hipster food. I didn’t understand the theme? Also, if I’m going to eat mac n cheese it better be real mac n cheese, not linguini with cream!

Went here last week and had a great dinner. We chose many things including mac and cheese, pork rinds, fried pickles, brisket and ribs. Everything was good, but the standout was the ribs. They were tender, juicy and tasted great. We ordered a full rack which was too much with everything else but they tasted very good even later. The service was very good by all the staff. A little hard to park but that is getting to be the same anywhere in Seattle.

I ate here with my wife on Valentine’s Day. I chose this restaurant because it was close to my apartment, and the menu posted on their website looked amazing! Spaghetti and BBQ are my two favorite foods. Great eatin’, right? No. Neither Spaghetti Western’s website, Facebook page, or stand-up sign out front had any mention of a «special» Valentine’s day menu that we HAD to order from. We found that out once we were seated at our table. $ 55 per person and there was little to nothing«spaghetti» or «western» about it. If it wasn’t for making a 9pm dinner reservation, and being starved at the moment, I would have left. I was told by our server that the regular menu was not available for the night(and I really wanted some fried pickles. Grrrr!). Overall, it was a rather upsetting experience. The food was good and all, but it was not what I had in mind when choosing a restaurant for the evening. If a restaurant is going to have an exclusive, limited, and special menu for a holiday/occasion, they should at least let their patrons know via their website and/or Facebook page. Maybe I’ll come back and try the«real» menu someday.

Lovely ambiance and delicious food! We tried a bit of everything, but my favorites were the pulled pork, ribs, and mac and cheese. The pork is so buttery and melts in your mouth. The ribs fall right off the bone, and the mac and cheese has a nice kick of heat with all the decadence you crave. If you’re in the mood for a cocktail, I’d recommend the game changer; it was a nice compliment to the meal and not overly sweet. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Still has your la bête favs n drinks, for those that miss it. The new meat menu is delicious. Ribs and corn bread were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and good sauce and vinegar selection to get ur fav flavor. Love the pickles while eating the meats and sauces.

I missed out on visiting La Bete but was happy to try out Spaghetti Western, a great BBQ joint! We shared a platter of ribs, brisket, and pulled pork and everything was great! The Root Beer BBQ Sauce is a nice unique addition as well. There is a great selection of sides and desserts and drink! Others in our dinner party seemed to greatly enjoy the famous«La Bete» burger. For some reason I feel BBQ places never take off in Seattle but I hope this one sticks around.

We couldn’t wait to try this place out even though we’d never been to the previous restaurant. But knowing our friends who are fantastic chefs worked here, we did know to expect great food. The décor and ambiance of the place is very welcoming and cozy. I could see that just driving past. And we really love it when we can sit at the counter and watch everything going on. There’s just a good vibe about the place, from the customers to those working the line and serving. Fried pickles and the pork rind were our appetizers along with a couple creative, delicious cocktails. I had what I think was called the Game Changer with Mezcal and some homemade flavorings which was outstanding. Wish I could recreate this one. For the main we shared a BBQ plate with potato salad and collard greens. We got the pulled pork, brisket, chorizo and I believe it was Italian sausage. Great, smoky BBQ, especially the brisket which was so moist and tender. Even though I tried the sauces, the meat did not need any condiments, it was that good. Wish I could have had room to try some of the pasta as I can’t resist handmade pasta. For dessert my husband had the outstanding double layer carrot cake. Don’t miss this one. And I had a house-made cookie platter, which was just the thing to finish with when you’re so very full.

Well a little on the disappointed side… but up to par on Seattle trying to do bbq and pasta… some things should be left to be enjoyed only in the south. When you pay $ 14 for Mac and Cheese, it better be phenomenal… too bad it was only just«ph» and when the dish was served to me I was thinking, «is this a tapas bar???». We got the brisket and it was the star of the meal and very well done. The slaw is bland, so add the condiments(all of them) provided to you on the table at no extra cost… The greens are way too sweet and like the slaw we were dumping the habanero vinegar all over them or try adding some salty pork to it(not provided… so bring your own). All in all was jus ok…

We had confirmed reservations for Christmas Eve. When we got there, it was closed up tight. When called, the phone just rang and rang. What happened?

Really good food. As a southern transplant, Talking BBQ ranks right under religion and politics when it comes to dangerous conversation. Spaghetti Western is worthy of your time. Though it defies conventional genre, the meat is masterfully done and high quality– especially the ribs, which had more melt in your mouth meat on them that any I’ve had prior. The pulled pork was exceptional as well. The«root beer» BBQ sauce was like a sweet and spicy ketchup, but when combined with the vinegars at hand, you can basically concoct a sauce as tangy or spicy as you want. I will be returning, and look forward to comparing with Bitter Root, which I haven’t tried yet.

Great place for a date or with friends. Freaking delicious food, solid drink selection and really nice staff. We sat at the counter and could see all the kitchen action which was really fun. The cooking staff was really friendly and chatted a bit. We ordered the fried pickles, brisket, pork shoulder, rack of ribs and a beer and a glass of wine. The fried pickles were great– pretty hard to eff those up. I had a delicious glass of red wine– I believe had«shooting star» in the title? The BBQ blew places like Bitterroot out of the water. Everything was super tender, fall of the bone and didn’t even need the different BBQ sauces available. Definitely similar pricing as other places in Seattle like Bourbon & Bones & Bitter root, only better. Really can’t rave enough. Had no complaints about the food, loved the vibe and overall just had an awesome time.

Service was great. Food and drinks were meh. BBQ was really dry and the sauces and vinegars on the table were only ok. The spaghetti and BBQ concept was odd. The Mac n Cheese was grainy and strangely vegetal. The fried chicken special might have got you kicked out of any southern state. Décor didn’t match the concept. Two small monitors showing a Western for a while switched to a computer message ½ way through our meal. I felt as though I should have fixed their tech. Wine list is a bit of a mess and doesn’t match the menu.

This place was just alright — I have no real interest in going back. The staff was fantastic and I loved the ambiance, but it’s the food that failed to catch my attention. My friends and I ordered a bunch of different things. The Pork Rinds were very good, but the Chicken liver mousse was the star. We loved it so much we ordered a 2nd one! The collard greens were a bit sweet for my taste, which is disappointing because I love nothing more than a good salty dish of collard greens. The Spaghetti mac and cheese tasted weird, and wasn’t even spaghetti noodles. We ordered it with pork, another thing I could of just passed on. I loved the duck, and would probably consider coming back if I was craving a leg of duck. It was perfectly smoky and salty. I am not big on cocktails, but took sips of my friends(a total of 5 different cocktails I believe). I really enjoyed their special spiked egg nog! All in all — I wouldn’t complain coming back if a friend wanted to go for drinks or a small bite but would pass for a full dinner

Pork Rinds were yummy, loved the pickled veggies, and all of the smoked meats were delicious, but the pasta and the potato salad left something to be desired. I was very glad they had vinegar based sauces as I prefer a more North Carolina style than a Kansas City style. The art and ambiance was odd for a BBQ joint(I’m aware it used to be La Bete and I was a huge fan of that space) although I loved the music they were playing and enjoyed the TV screens. A projector on one of the walls showing old westerns would be amazing! I’ll be back, and I’m excited to see what they will do for brunch. Hoping to see a pulled pork benedict, fried chicken and waffle, biscuits and gravy, etc etc etc.

It’s… BBQ, and spaghetti… Spaghetti Western… ok. The theme is a little odd, ok, more than a little, yet in the end, it feels like a lot of other places around the hill, menu and price-wise. Yes, you can get spaghetti and you can get BBQ, but ultimately, the menu ends up being very similar to a lot of the other ‘hot’ places around here, with the same prices. The food was good to varying degrees — delicious chicken liver mousse, though the crackers were unusual and unexpected, they grew on me. I didn’t think anything else really stood out, and the mac and cheese was very strange and not to my taste. My friends loved the duck leg, but I thought it a bit dry and overly smoky. The cocktails were very good. What differentiates it — in a good way — for me, is ambiance. It wasn’t crowded, and has a really cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Great spot to grab drinks and/or dinner with friends.

Like any good movie, Spaghetti Western had some real a-listers in it. My boyfriend and I were huge fans of La Bête so when we heard that the owner was re-vamping the space and opening with a new menu/theme, we trusted it’d still be great. And it was! The spot of our first date three years ago still has so much charm and warmth to it. But now the menu is warm with a bit of updated comfort food added to it. Don’t get me wrong, the food was perfect before — just different. Tonight we spent about $ 20 less than we typically do. Not because we ordered less, but because the menu is a little more casual than before. And that makes for a great deal because it was affordable before, as well. Highlights of our night were house cocktails featuring fun spirits. I had a Mezcal Old Fashioned and my boyfriend had a Shandy with IPA and amaro and lemon. For food you can never go wrong with the made-to-order pork rinds. Definitely a must-order if you’ve never been here. We also had the duck leg, the pork and pork liver sausage, the brisket, the house made chips and smoked cod dip, and the spaghetti mac n cheese. Each dish was a star! In fact, our order sounds massive because it was. We didn’t know what to order because there were such gems to choose from. Good thing for us, we plan to come back often and keep trying items. I suggest you do the same! Romantic, yet casual. You can also come for small plates and not a full meal, or even just to come and have a cocktail or some wine. The bar has room for a few small groups of 2 or 3 and is the perfect late evening quiet hang out. See you soon, SW!
