I’m giving this place 2 because they have pretty good happy hour, and I’ve been here before a few times and have had good service. But tonight(Thursday night), my friend and I were the only girls there, and therefore received no attention and service from the female bartender. It wasn’t even that crowded; we tried getting her attention numerous times without being obnoxious, but that didn’t work. After 15−20min of being ignored, we finally decided to leave. I am very disappointed because I genuinely thought this could be my go to spot, but being so ignored I don’t know if I’ll be back.

Great staff, and Cards Against Humanity with Donnatella is so fun! You must go. Delicious food, and huge pretzels! I’m talking pretzels the size of your abdomen. HUGE! Happy hour is OK, not great, but the wonderful staff makes up for the lame happy hour. Love this place.

Goes without saying that this place has a great beer selection. Also the service is always very friendly and quick, even when it’s busy. Jose and the other guy working the bar were awesome ;)

Mimosa & kale! Yumm!!! I’ve passed by this spot a gazillion times before bar hopping but never stopped. They seem to have trivia nights, happy hours, brunch! All things! But one fine day, I made it in. And stayed pretty much the whole day. Why? Mimosa! Yes! Bottomless Mimosa! That’s all there to it. Nothing else. Although, my side kale salad was pretty epic. I got the usual brunch with eggs and meat but substituted kale salad over fries. Best decision ever! So tastyyyyy. Like oh so tastyyy! Now~ let’s talk mimosa! They come in a giant glass full. I mean full to the brim! You get the usual orange juice! Or ask and you shall receive the other flavors. Grapefruit, Cranberry and even pomegranate at some point I believe. You can get the mimosas till 2 pm. or two hours limit. Either or I believe. But champagne is carby and pretty filling. I spent a good four hours nursing my 4 mimosas! I didn’t even finish it. Once it gets warm, its useless! I mean who says I love a warm champagne?! No one ever! We also had a friendly bar tender taught us some drake’s moves there. He was nice! It was fun! It was sunday night! No complains there. Overall, I love sitting outdoor in this cold weather! They made it possible. And of course: mimosa and kale salad? That’s just as healthy as it gets! :D

Great selection of beer, decent food, and cheap prices. I came here for happy hour on Sunday night around 6:30. The place was nearly empty so easy enough to grab a seat anywhere I wanted. I had a flatbread and a beer. The flatbread was a good enough size to be a full meal. It was pretty good, nothing overly special. The whole meal came to $ 9, though, so who am I to complain… The one issue I did have was the volume of their TVs. Maybe if it was a super crowded night they would need the TVs to be up that high so people could hear. For the handful of people in there, though, it was way too much.

Bottomless Mimosas for $ 15! This is literally 2 blocks away from my apartment, so I’ll be a frequent bruncher. I like the outdoor area that keeps you dry when it’s raining but still lets in lots of natural light.

Their policy is to arrive 15min before your reservation time??? We were excited to try to this place especially for the Seahawks game but their host made it impossible. We made reservations and arrived at the time of the reservation but they had given away our table. The host said that we had to arrive 15min before our reservation. If this is even true, then that should be explicitly communicated on their website or Unilocal page. We made the reservation via Unilocal which had no warning of their policy. To top this off, the host was rude as he was curt and dismissive. Total disappointment.

What a hip, fun place to spend a Friday night(or any night really!!) After dinner downtown my friend and I decided to hit this place up on our way back to her place. First off, they have a lot of great craft beers to choose from! If the beers on tap aren’t enough of a selection, they also have beverage coolers full of bottles of beer! No lack of selection here! Lots of delicious IPAs to choose from! Beers start at around $ 4, and I imagine they go over $ 10(the bottled beers!) They started karaōke shortly after we arrived. Let me say this, the girl who was hosting the karaōke is amazing. Great voice! Funny thing, the first few people that got up to sing were all talented. I said to my friend, «do you think they screen people to sing?» Because rarely do you get people that can *actually* sing, sing karaōke! We stayed all night and towards the end of the night, we witnessed a few really horrible singers! Hahah! There went my theory! This is a fun place for a night out! Not too expensive and very entertaining!

This place looks more like a bar then it looks like a restaurant bar. The place itself is pretty small like an average bar. I ordered some food and it was so delicious. I would definitely go to this place more if it was just a restaurant. I ordered buffalo wings and chili Fries, they came out sizzling hot. The waiter was friendly and nice, flirted with my cousin a bit. My Personal Restaurant Rating Key One star: the food was bad and I had a negative experience. Two star: I had a more negative experience and would not come here again but the food was good so I may. Three store: Everything is good except one thing. Example-the food is good, the price is more reasonable but the atmosphere is lacking class. Or the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but they over charged us. These three stars are actually my favorite types of restaurants to go eat at if the reason is due to the atmosphere because they are usually delicious and reasonably priced. Four stars: Everything is great, food and experience. However the price is definitely on the upper end. I would not recommend this first to Obama unless he didn’t like my five stars. These are restaurants you can take your boss or your mother-in-laws to impress them, however they still don’t fit into the five star category. A bit fancier than my three stars, hence I don’t often eat here unless there is an occasion for it or there is a groupon that gives me a bit of a discount! Five stars: I would recommend this to Obama. The price may be on the upper end but the experience and the taste is so exquisite, it is actually worth every nickel and dime.

BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS! Yeah, you heard me. Some friends and I were looking for a place on the hill to watch the Hawks game, and 500East’s bottomless mimosas/bloody mary’s was a huge selling point. There’s tons of tv’s, so there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The brunch offerings were better than expected, but the five of us were really into the breakfast bahn mi and the breakfast sammie. Food came out piping hot and paired nicely with the aforementioned bottomless beverages. Sandwiches came on Macrina bread(+1), and that bahn mi was seriously decadently rich. –2 stars for the slick floors and women’s bathroom. 2⁄3 stalls have doors that can’t be locked, so you can’t pee without the threat of someone busting in on you. They should really fix that situation. Pro tip: Check-in on Unilocal for 15% off your bill.

Extremely excellent bottomless mimosa/bloody mary deal. $ 15 with purchase of food buys you very attentive refills(was my glass ever empty??) and the ability to switch between the two. Food was OK — I had the baked pancake and a side of bacon. A few friends had the frittata which was SO small! I think I’d get the burger if I went again — it looked great. It’s going to take a minute for me to recover from all those mimosas, though. Overall, pretty dang good! And a lot of TVs!

Great beer selection. Amazing music. Good food menu. The bar tenders are very attentive and I love the way seating had been setup. Would definitely recommend.

Having walked past this place a few times post-night out with my friends, I decided to try it out. It was Thursday Night Football and my friend and I were hungry. 500 east is a pretty average size, but welcoming bar. The Happy Hour deal we went with was ½ off any WA beer or wine. To switch things up, we ordered ciders vs. beer. We both got the currant cider which tasted great, but was a tad too sweet for my palette. Then my friend got the only other sweet drink on HH, the mead. Now mead is made from honey so it is a bit thicker than normal cider or wine. Tasted great and had a great honey taste! I opted for the Pineapple lambic. A lambic is a cider that is brewed like a beer. So i got a very mild tasting pineapple beer that was phenomenal Not too overpowering with sweetness, but also not bitter like a beer. If you get food, DONOT forget to order the sweet potato tots. Next time, I’ll try going when it becomes a social bar late at night and see if I enjoy it just as much!

My husband and I came here for their Sunday Brunch to enjoy bottomless mimosas and an entire morning/afternoon of football. The bottomless mimosas(or bloody Mary’s) are a great value at $ 15 for all you can drink 10am to 3pm. In my case the sugar and bubbles won out by around 1pm(mimosa 1: Teri 0) but it was relaxing to sit and watch football on their multiple screens! This also was not a day the Seahawks were playing on Sunday – I am told changes the abundance of people who are there and they open up at 9am(instead of 10am) when the Seahawks are playing in the morning. Despite a good buzz and enjoying the delightful atmosphere and wonderful playlist, I was least impressed with their food. With a limited menu, normally I figure everything is good(the pick a few things you do well and only serve those) but both my husband and I was left wanting. Our food both arrived slightly cooled and overall flavor a and textures were not all that thrilling. What could have been an amazing salmon waffle was an overcooked(all surfaces were dark brown) waffle with three(or maybe four) small pieces of smoked salmon on top, with a glob of crème fresh and caviar. I thought about asking for syrup because the waffles were a little dry. Using the crème fresh helped only that was all you would taste. My husbands Bahn Mi was tough to cut, the meet too was not that tender. I was going to leave the review closer to three snd a half stars until I took a trip to the restroom where I found TP out of stock(only a roll sitting on the lid of the toilet and two of the three doors which did not close/lock(one was missing the lock all together!!!) perhaps this was all left over from a busy Saturday night. but someone has to check this or care enough to make sure it is usable. Overall: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Beer selection: 5 stars Service: 4 stars Bathrooms: 1 star Food: 2 stars

Went there for the first time with a friend to check out the advertised selection of beers. We were both coming from Seattle University nearby so there was I did not have to worry about parking although for anyone driving down here, it’s quite difficult to find parking due to the shop being on the right side of Pine and Summit(and the fact that in Capitol Hill, it is hard to find parking in general). If possible, walking down is probably your best bet(5 Minute Walk from Seattle Central if you’re going down on Pine). We went around 4:45 in the afternoon, so there were barely any people there. There are a few tables outside that people can sit at if you like a place to just relax over a beer with a friend and just chill. Otherwise, going inside, lots of tables can be found. Not too crowded though on a packed night I can see this place being a bit hectic. My friend and I sat at the bar area. Bartender there was very nice and helped us select our drinks based off of previous things that we had. We wanted to try something new so it was great he could help us decide what to choose. It was during Happy Hour so all the Washington Beers and Ciders were discounted at the time. We also had some Chili Fries which were really good. The fries were not oily at all and yet had a good crunch to them. Haven’t seen the place at night yet or see where their events are like but it’s definetly somewhere I would like to come back to!

A good place to relax after the work day is over, both food and drinks are of above average quality. Going on a Tuesday ensures fun, if you like trivia, it’s fun even if you don’t win(or even suck at it). You know what, even if you don’t play, you can sit, watch, and enjoy the hilarity that usually ensues. You can sit at the patio to people watch, enjoy their tap selection or sample their creative cocktail offerings… The day we went, they even had a special on a great beer, going very cheap, and all proceeds to some charity or non-profit. Really, a great place! Next visit, I’m thinking of checking out their karaōke night :)

My friend gave me the address to this place, I asked«what is it»… if he had replied with«500EAST — a social house», I would have laughed at his sarcasm. But it wouldn’t have been sarcasm. This place has a cool name. And good drinks. And good prices. And live music. Thank you for my delicious margarita.

Four fantastic words: half off Washington beers. 500EAST is usually not my cup of tea. I’ve been here before while it was still World of Beer, and I’ve always found it too bro-y for my liking. Last night, it wasn’t bro central, but there was trashy music pulsating so loudly that I couldn’t hear the person beside me – let alone get my order across to the bartender. Why does it get four stars then? The happy hour is off the charts. The early one runs till 7PM, and the late one is from 10PM to close. Half off WA beers, cheap wells and wines – I’m pretty sold when I can grab a solid imperial IPA or a coffee porter for $ 3 a pint. Sit in the patio outside, and you get to escape most of the tinny, loud music from inside. I noticed that they also do brunch with bottomless mimosas – definitely going to check that out sometime.

The great spot in lower Capital hello to go give you a sporting event to meet friends for a beer or watch special events like RuPaul’s Drag Race every Monday night starting at 8 o’clock. other nights are hosted by a variety of different people with different things but there’s always a mix of people that are always friendly and the stuff is always willing to make suggestions for cocktails and their selection of beer is excellent. Parking can be tricky a good tip is to park at Harvard and pine which is the parking lot for the Seattle Central College which i think is about $ 5 almost every night of the week. there’s a good selection of food and a great outdoor patio area during the summer that opens up. Only downside is that the tables are limited for viewing TVs on the outside patio but I think that they’re going to be correcting that in the near future.

I stopped by here for a drink after my gum-prodding dentist appointment, to help me forget that irking drill sound. They have a bunch of local bev options. Bottles to go. Lots of ciders as well as some local soda options on tap as well. The temp«patio» looked nice and cozy but I opted for a bar seat. The bar tender was super friendly and helpful in picking a drink. Had I had less tender gums I would have tried the truffle chips because… whaaat those sound delicious! Next time! Oh…and there’s a dart board here. +1 star.
