I came here for Seinfeld trivia night and they were packed. With only one waitress for the entire place(and she was a temp!). I think management failed to staff their restaurant properly. Also when I asked her about specials for the night she said she didn’t know. It was supposed to be ladies night according to their website… but no discounts in sight. I ordered one of their burgers with a lettuce wrap instead of bun, and a side of their ~ $ 4 fries(sides not included with the price of burger. When I got the burger it didn’t come as described there was no bacon, no sauce of any kind, no cheese, and it was cold. The miserably small portion of fries for that expensive price was also cold. The waitress luckily took it off our bill and I gave up on eating dinner… My husband had the small nachos… and they were small, cold, and didn’t come with many toppings. The beans looked like they were just dumped on top from a can, and not the usual re-fried or black beans you find on nachos these were brown. Then their was the drinks we ordered… they took forever and the beers were not even cold(maybe from hot freshly washed pint glasses?) Then the beer started coming out in plastic cups which were bigger than the hot pint glasses at least. So overall I will not be back to this place for dinner or their trivia nights.

They say they open at 4 for happy hour. It’s 4:10, doors are locked and nobody inside.

This place was super-convenient to where I used to live, without many other options nearby, so I tried it several times before giving up. Every time was grimace-worthy. Sub-par food, boring menu, and service without a smile. It’s a shame this restaurant isn’t any better because there is very little to compete with on this end of Eastlake. If you’re in the area and looking for delicious food, excellent service and a great ambience, Ravish won’t disappoint. If looking for a place within a quick walk of this one, with better food, friendly service, similar prices and a lively atmosphere, go to Eastlake Bar and Grill. EBG is nothing to write home about, but it’s heads and tails above this place in every way.

I went there at night for a jazz show and the food was mediocre. We ordered nachos and they barely had any cheese on them but the waiter did take them off the tab which was great. The wings were pretty good but nothing special. Its typical bar food with average costumer service and the restaurant itself was nice, don’t go in there expecting great food. Also we did find things that made the restaurant seen unclean like a lot of dead bugs in the windowsill.

I came here for a banquet, so the review will be a bit different than normal. The food was served all buffet style and included chicken & beef skewers, hummus, sliders and salad. The salad and hummus were good, but those are easy. The chicken skewer was pretty moist and seasoned well. The beef tasted boiled though and didn’t have any char on the outside. It lacked any real flavor. Same with the slider. I had to dip it into ranch as it was pretty dry also. The bartender was on point. She poured drinks quickly and efficiently for our group. Even by herself we didn’t have to wait long for a drink. I made sure to tip her well for her hard work. I was very impressed. Overall, I like this space. It’s modern and the service was pretty good. The food could be better, but buffet style banquets a never really great so they get a little bit of a pass for that.

I made reservations a week in advance, yet we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated for the mothers day brunch. Then the food was mediocre at best, the majority of the food was cold, with exception of the watermelon.. it was warm. The drinks were watered down, and left un-drank. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this place, it sucks.

I am so disappointed at this restaurant. I just checked my bank account yesterday, and I found that they charged me $ 10 more than I spent money for food and tip! They even didn’t say sorry at the first place. Not good at all, and I will not go this restaurant again.

4 chicken wings for $ 8! And that was on HAPPYHOUR! And they weren’t great. Had a cup of french onion soup and the broth was quite good but the onions hadn’t been pre-cooked at all and seemed almost raw. Not a great atmosphere either. That being said, the server was nice.

My husband and I came here because we had the living social deal for a three course meal and a bottle of wine. We made our reservation for 7:00 on a Saturday but ended up in that area around 6. They were very easy going about the time change and seated us right away.
The place was a little over half full and upstairs there was a pretty large party going on. Our server, Ben, informed us that when they dont have parties going on upstairs they have more seating, a pool table, darts and a projection screen for the football games. Pretty cool. With the living social deal we didnt get to order off the full menu. But, being the Unilocaler I am, I had already checked out the menu and lucky for me, I happily found the Jalapeño Mac and Cheese on the menu we were given to order from. We both had the ceaser salad which was okay. Not the star of the meal. The dressing was a little thick and we each had two croutons but unlike other reviewers, our lettuce was not wet(which would have been a deal breaker for me). My husband ordered the onion soup. Beware! It is really small but he did enjoy it. It was overflowing with bubbly cheese. We also had the garlic feta fries which were utterly fantastic. A large portion of thickly cut potato fries done right covered in tart feta and spicy garlic. They were amazing! My Mac and Cheese with grilled chicken was so yummy! I usually only like the kind that is baked with bread crumbs and crispies on top but with the sliced bits of fresh jalapeño and the perfectly cooked tender chicken I didnt miss the crispyness it would have had if baked. My husband had the fish and chips which he said was good. We both needed doggie bags for our dinner as we were so full from wine, salad, soup and fries. For desert we split the cheesecake with raspberry sauce and we each ordered one more drink. A Manhattan and an old fashioned. Both were delish and went well with the cheesecake. All in all we had a very good experience. Ben was a great server, very knowledgeable about the menu. They have free parking which is a plus and the interior décor is pleasing. If ever in the area we would return here for dinner or happy hour.

Took 20 min for chowder app. But chowder is delicious. Was told they took 1st place over Ivars recently by a local magazine. Black and Blue steak salad had very well seasoned meat. Cooked a bit high, leaving it medium outside, as we ordered, and rare inside. Overall, a generous serving size. Desimone’s Seafood pasta was also a generous size. Seafood was fresh. However the celery in the sauce left us a bit confused out the origin of the dish. The sauce was described as a rich cream sauce but contained pesto. So it was not quite clear. Overall, we enjoyed the dish.

Caught the Seahawks game here. The bartender was weird… not unfriendly, but not welcoming either. Crepes and champagne for brunch was pretty good, but no fresh berries, just a jam and preserves. This place has pool and darts, fyi. Probably won’t come back, didn’t like the ambiance too much.

Came in on a LivingSocial voucher for a three course meal and a bottle of wine. I didn’t realize the menu available would be different than their full menu so I was a little disappointed. Had a burger and my husband had the lamb sliders. Pretty standard burger but the fries were delicious. Overall, it’s a nice place to watch the Seahawks. Feels open, clean and modern but not stuffy. People were wondering in in biking attire.

Came here on a Saturday night with my man-friend. First of all **Free Parking** there is an attached garage!;) We walked in the grocery-like automatic door(weird) and was greeted pretty quickly by the hostess/Waitress. We were told to sit where ever we liked. We chose a booth on the end and both sat facing the bar that housed a couple big screen TV’s to catch the Seahawks kill the Broncos!(Well as i write this) He ordered the Cesar Salad and the Salmon. He thought the Cesar Salad was good(nothing particularly special) the Salmon was well prepared and plated nicely. With a nice pesto glaze on top. Looked yummy. I ordered the House Salad and the Veggie Pasta. House salad was well, a salad, mixed greens with tomato and some cucumbers. It was fresh and had just the right amount of dressing topped with some house made croutons, nice texture. The pasta was really good, olives, peppers, other veggies it was yummy, needed a bit more salt but there was some in the table so I added more… No problem. Dessert was good. Blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. I ordered a shot of espresso that was pulled from a dinky machine. It was not bad actually and only $ 1.50! I want to bring my friends here sometime for a Seahawks game and some beer. Also want to explore their happy hour menu! Trivia Tuesdays!!! Oh and it’s Happy Hour ALLDAY on Tuesdays. I would recommend you try this place out!

Just as Kristo’s was, this is too… A DISASTER! I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. The service was abysmal. The waitress(who took a smoke break every chance she got), over charged us in food and wine. After correcting the wine over-charge, we noticed a lamb slider over-charge — all over charges were likely a result of giving the waitresses friends a «discount». For the amount they charge per pour and dish, you would think their service would be worth it. Alas, it is the polar opposite. The staff couldn’t care less about the patrons, and when confronted with their over-charges were everything but apologetic. Their french fries are a complete disgrace to foodies. These are chopped up, tasteless, burnt bits of potato masquerading as french fries. They should be ashamed.

I live in the neighborhood and really want to support local businesses, but I doubt I’ll be heading back to Ship Canal Grill anytime soon. I went in for happy hour with a coworker on a weekday night. I’ll keep my review short and sweet… in a word Ship Canal Grill is lackluster. The service is fine. They don’t seem to care if you come or not. No recommendations were made for drinks or food. Collectively we ordered french fries, wings, Moscow Mule, and a white wine. The drinks were okay. Not bad, not stellar. The ingredients in the MM were fresh, so that’s nice. The french fries were limp and too blond. The wings seemed to be breaded and oversauced to hide the quality. All in all, with the many great places on Eastlake, this place hasn’t done it for me. In attempt to be fair, I will try to go back from dinner or breakfast, which seems to be what people are talking about.

I want to give more stars because I only live a block away but the fact is that this place is way too expensive for what it is. And what it is is not what it is trying to be, which is a fancier restaurant. Their menu is well rounded, the food is good and the servers are alright, but the portions and quality is not above and beyond for what it’s worth. I love the interior, décor, and events they have. If price is not an issue then get the burger and some beers. Otherwise just show up for happy hour and watch a game or play some pool or darts.

SCG is so much fun! Located in the corner of eastlake seated just before the university bridge, this little gem has all the fixings for a great night! The atmosphere is chill with fancy lighting, a stage for live music– featuring local and renowned artists, generally of soul/jazz/r&b nature and comfortable seating all around. In the spirit of Washington they frequently host wine tastings from local vineyards and bring out the«hottest» wines of the season. The perfect compliment to any outfit or accessory! Tuesday night they do trivia… But it wasn’t crowded enough to warrant a buy-in. Success would’ve meant maybe making your money back. Strategically placed tv’s and colorful local crowd of regulars make it a great place to watch the major sporting events televised to the masses. Football season wouldn’t have been the same without this place! There isn’t an item on the menu or drink from the bar I haven’t liked, however– the blackened salmon is by far my favorite. If you aren’t there to see a show, this is the place to hit before you go out… Or after you’re done.

Weekend brunch with free garage parking and a DJ. I guess the DJ is only there every third Sunday of the month, but it’s quite an experience. There’s a breakfast buffet with plenty of options stocked fresh and kept warm. Plus, a VERY friendly chef who came and talked to us when we first sat down and even delivered our food right to the table. On his recommendation I went with the Prawn Cakes Benny. He promised he makes the hollandaise sauce fresh every morning. He did not lie. The prawn cakes, which replaced the English muffin, were panko-crusted and seemed to have some fresh herbs cooked in — these alone would have made me happy with my meal. The poached eggs were cooked just right with the yolk still a little runny, but on the thicker side. And the breakfast potatoes are a delight: sizeable pieces of crispy potatoes. I wish more restaurants took the time and care to cook their breakfast potatoes correctly to get that crisp. My husband got the Euro Lover’s frittata, a surprisingly delicious combo of eggs, lamb gyro meat, olives, onions, green peppers, and a fresh topping of tzatziki sauce. The combination of flavors was perfect. The waitress, who was also the bartender, seemed a little gruff at first, but warmed up as the meal went on. And though she was pulling double-duty for the whole place, she was plenty attentive. Bonus: they take the Microsoft Passport Card.
