Always a great place for pizza. Ate a lot of pag’s pizza while my daughter was Children’s hospital up the way. Fresh and consistent pizza!

Passed by this place a few times whilst commuting to-from. Finally decided to stop in on a Friday evening. First impressions: clean. Smells nice. Welcoming. Friendly.(These are important points; let’s be honest.) On to the meat of the deets, the pizza: I ordered the Grand Salami Primo. I have to say that it was nothing short of perfect. Nice crust, crisp with just enough chewiness inside. Great toppings. They use some quality meats here. The down side is that I ate too much and I feel compelled to do it again.

I first got hooked on Pagliacci Pizza as a UW student due to their locations in the HUB and the McMahon cafeteria. This Pagliacci location is primarily a delivery/carryout spot. They have a few small tables, but don’t serve slices. I don’t think I’d want to sit and eat here anyway as it’s so small and I don’t think there’s a restroom. I get carryout from here since I live close by. I’ve always found their pizza to be consistently good, and I like that they have such a wide range of toppings. I like to get a pizza with spinach(it’s chopped finely, not huge leaves), Italian sausage and Kalamata olives.(I LOVE that they have Kalamata olives available, I think they taste much better than black olives!) They also often have interesting specials — I don’t always like these but I appreciate that they have them as options.(Current seasonal toppings right now include zucchini and peaches!) One small thing they do here that I like is they open the pizza box in front of you to make sure it’s OK and what you wanted. I’m usually so hungry by the time I arrive that I probably wouldn’t think to do that, but I’m glad that they do, because it’s definitely better to fix an issue while you’re there then after you’re home. The prices are kind of expensive though. A large(which for two of us, is enough for one dinner and one lunch) typically runs about $ 25 – 26 for three toppings or a special(carryout). Hot Mama’s, which is probably my #1 favorite pizza in Seattle, runs about $ 5 cheaper, although they sadly don’t deliver near where I live. But the quality of Pag’s is definitely better than a Pizza Hut or Dominos, so for me ordering a whole Pag’s pie is a special occasion. It’s probably a good thing that this location doesn’t serve slices or I’d be eating it way more than is healthy!

Hands down the best pizza in Seattle, and probably west of the Mississippi. I can only think the negative reviews are from people mad they just bought a pepperoni pizza… This pizza is consistently fantastic! Crispy thin crust, loads of toppings, fantastic flavor. Only problem is it is expensive! Thirty dollars for a large pizza delivered after tip… I’m not bill gates, so I usually settle for a Costco pizza. Really makes me appreciate Pagliacci!

Pagliacci Pizzas are one of the few Seattle foods I grew up with that have stayed the same over the years… and I mean that in the best way. My father would take us to the Ave location many weekends and we’d gorge on the stuff still on the menu now… including the Pagliaccio salad and Goat Cheese Primo. They taste exactly the same. Why change what is well done in the first place? I’m impressed they can keep it so consistent when they’ve grown so much. If you love a certain pizza at one branch, it will taste the same at any of their other locations. Pricey — Pagliacci has never played the coupon game most pizza chains are trapped in. One way to save a little moolah — pick up your pizza if you can. They charge for delivery. Their large pizzas(17″?) average about $ 24 a pie. A small 10″ specialty pizza is almost $ 12. Our latest take out order for 7 people was $ 115. That was for 3 large pizzas, 2 calzones, and a party salad. The calzones were horrible — no sauce in the pies or on the side. The pizzas and salad were excellent. This specific loaction is great if you’re hanging out at Magnuson Park and need picnic food. They do have a reasonable amount of sit down space. If you have a large party, say 10 or so folks, they could fit in here. Very very casual.

I think ordering pizza from Amazon might have a greater depth of flavor or sophistication. I’m under the impression that pizza should either be great or be cheap(and hopefully both), but Pagliacci is neither affordable or edible. The crust was thick, bland, and resembled cardboard in more ways than one(something I have come to expect from a 5 $ pizza, but not one costing three times that amount). The sauce had no flavor profile other than a gloppy catastrophe. I had high hopes for Pagliacci as it has a location right next door to my apartment, but as the old song goes, you can’t always get what you want.

Use to love but after getting a moldy pizza tonight I wouldn’t dream of ever eating again. To make matters worse I called and asked them to come pick it up so they could see the problem they had, no one ever showed up. Wonder how many other customers got a mold infested crust and didn’t know it? Shouldn’t even have 1 star

Best service ever! We arrived here after being stuck in the husky football game traffic for over an hour. The girl at the counter was so nice I wish I could have given her an even bigger tip. She just made sure everyone was happy no matter what. She truly cared about everyone who walked into the restaurant and it showed. Amazing customer service! Oh and the pizza and salad was perfect! I would travel from Issaquah to get this service and delicious pizza again. It was that good.

I think Pagliacci’s has centralized telephone ordering so I probably can’t attribute that just to the Sand Point Way store, but I was very impressed to be greeted cheerfully by name on the phone on just my second time calling. LOVE the seasonal pizzas… roasted cauliflower was a totally new experience for me. And that appetizer thin bread cut into diamond shapes with light cheese, olive oil, GARLIC and red pepper flakes – YOWZA! The crust could be better, and I find their salads to be just vile(hence, no 5th star) – but imaginative, fresh, locally sourced ingredients and dynamite customer service get my vote.

I love Pagliaccis. but tonight was a very different experience. We ordered one large half cheese half hawaiian with extra pineapple and an order of breadsticks. We opened the breadsticks to see they had not given us any marinara sauce. which made me cry a little. But then I bite into my breadstick & it’s totally burnt on the bottom! Gross. The pizza’s decent except for the fact that there is no extra pineapple at all(I paid $ 3 for it!) and the bottom is also a little overcooked, though not as bad as the breadsticks. I called in and the guy who helped me at the call center was super nice and helpful & offered to send me a gift card for the meal. This bumped my review to three stars. That and I’ve never had an experience like this before at Pags. I will order Pagliacci’s again, I know this isn’t typical of them. Side note: Eat Pagliaccio dressing. it’s literally crack. Order the goat cheese primo!(I do no mushrooms, add chicken, and extra goat cheese!) or the hawaiian(real pineapple) The breadsticks are typically delish and I love the pagliaccio salad. The centioli is really good too but I always add prosciutto and goat cheese. yum.

They have the best customer service ever! They are always helpful and give great suggestions. We love their seasonal — our favorite was the bacon and leeks, hopefully they bring that back next year!

I can’t rate this place, because it was closed on a Tuesday at Lunch time. Then I find out it is never open weekdays for lunch. What a waste I was all set after reading the Unilocal reviews. It had my mouth watering. But it does me no good if your always closed. They only open after 4pm, what were they thinking with all the office people right across the street and the apartments within a mile of this place.

Get the minestrone soup! I know this place is famous for pizza(which is really yummy) but I like their lower calorie, quick and delicious soups and salads. They have a variety of cheap eats that can’t be beat on the Ave.

Seattle, you don’t know how good you’ve got it. There are two levels of pizza in my book: delivery and eat in/take away. As far as I’m concerned, there are different standards for both. Standards for eat-in being far higher: think Little Star or Pizzeria Delfina from San Francisco, Via Tribunali in Seattle. We are talking about a truly special pizza, folks. My standards for pizza delivery have always been lower, because I want it quick and easy. And let’s face it, maybe a movie and pajamas are involved. Seattlites, the great thing about Pagliacci is you can wear your pajamas AND eat good pizza. Do you know how rare that is? After living in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and Seattle, I can attest to the fact that finding good pizza delivery even in great food cities is a difficult thing. So when I don’t want to take off my slippers, I am usually not expecting to enjoy farm fresh ingredients and charcuterie from one of the best shops on the West Coast(Salumi) Are you serious? You mean I also get great customer service? Really? I’m wearing my pajamas AND I get to buy pizza from a company that worries about recycling their pizza boxes? Wow, did I just score or what? We love the seasonal pizzas, the Pagliacci salad, and the Brooklyn Bridge. All thin crust, New York style. Come on Seattle, put on your pajamas. And admit it. You’ve got it good.

I like Pagliacci pizza(I mean the pizza pie itself). I like it. I’ve lived in Chicago, and I have to say, I prefer 2 inch deep ‘disk of death’ pan baked pizza. But Pagliacci is good. So why am I dishing out 5 stars if I think their pizza is only ‘good’. Because their customer service is INSANELY good. Seriously. If I ever opened a retail business that requires phone service, I’m stealing their customer service manager. They feature locally sourced ingredients with seasonal menus, they are a local business, their pizza rocks, their customer service is awesome… whats not to love?

As someone already wrote… Oh Sweet Jesus! We got out of our car and had the most wonderful aroma wafting up our sinus canals. I want to give Pagliacci’s five stars just for the smell. *sigh* We sat inside, awaiting our dinner, and all I could do was try to keep the drool from pooling up on the table… Extra Pepperoni pizza, small Caesar salad and a pesto pasta salad. Bring on the yummilicious food because my mouth was a watering. I polished off half of a small pizza, and all I could do was smile. This pizza is DAMN good. The crust is nice and thin, just the way I like it. My only complaint would be that this is some seriously greasy pizza. Doesn’t matter though, I’d scarf this baked dough down without a second thought, ANYTIME!!! Bring it…

Pagliacci’s has a great pizza delivery service. My orders have always been accurate and generally arive twenty minutes before the phone guy told me to expect, which is nice. I like both their pizzas and their calzones; the pesto pasta salad is pretty good, too. When you call, ask about the«Frequent Pie-er Club»; you don’t have to do anything to join and it randomly has great deals. The fact that they know who you are, where you live, what you want and your credit card number as soon as you call is a little bit creepy, but on the other hand, I have to give them props for efficiency. Minus one star for price– a small pepperoni pizza really seems like it doesn’t need to cost $ 13. For fast, high-quality delivery, I’m still a fan.

Pagliacci is a great place to get a decent pizza with a bigger selection of toppings. I had the Pesto Primo and the Fresh Veggie. Both were good, given that I had no other delivery options at the time, but both were also a bit soggy and had worn from the delivery of it all. I can definitely imagine both tasting better in the shop, rather than delivery. The Fresh Veggie was good, and the vegetables fresh, but was nothing you couldn’t get at any other pizza place. The Pesto Primo, on the other, was a demonstration of how Pagliacci’s stands apart from other pizza delivery joints in their selection of pizzas. Where else can you get a pizza delivered that has fresh garlic sauce, olive oil, and basil pesto? Sure, it’s not the best pesto pizza you’ll ever have, but it’s still satisfying. Another great thing about Pagliacci is that they deliver pints of gelato. I had the lemon sorbet, which seemed to be the perfect way to cool down after downing several slices of pizza. My main problem was that I didn’t feel comfortable with the price I paid for a pizza that didn’t deliver(in terms of taste). In any case, I’m sure I’ll be ordering from Pagliacci again some time soon, but next time I’ll venture into their meats. GET: Pesto Primo
