Mimosas with Mama

I’m an Eastsider. I like two way streets, right angle intersections with a maximum of 4 stop signs, and easy parking. I will not cross a bridge unless it’s a life or death situation and/​or if it’s for something unique and amazing. I crossed the bridge for Mimosas with Mama and I’d do it again!
The drive and parking was easy because it’s on a Sunday morning. Parking lots are close by and not terribly pricey. The show itself was fabulous! Funny, raunchy, and highly entertaining. The optional brunch buffet was WAY more delicious than I was assuming it would be for only $ 13. Fried chicken and biscuits, yum!
I think it’s most fun to go with a group. There’s not a bad seat in the house and all of the tables can be moved to fit parties of any size.
Make sure to bring $ 1’s with you! If you’re like us and didn’t bring a lick of cash, don’t worry there’s an ATM right by the stairs and the helpful bartenders have a cash register chock-​full of $ 1’s so they’re more than happy to make change for you.

I came, I saw & threw dollars!!! Would highly recommend as we all had a great time and will be back for more!

I read the other reviews and they seem to be very positive. The audience was mostly straight old white people and bachelorette parties, so perhaps their understanding and expectation of what drag is is different to mine. I can see how you might enjoy it if your view of drag is a few f bombs here and there and some obvious sexual humor.
Or maybe Mama was having a bad day. Maybe it was because there wasn’t much of an audience. But this queen’s hosting fell flat and missed the mark throughout. It was unoriginal, unfunny, and awkward. I would not go back nor recommend it.
The first red flag was her trite diatribe about refugees. For the record, I wholeheartedly agree with taking in Syrian or any other refugees. But her political commentary was neither smart, nor funny, nor original. Instead it was a rehashing of common cliches such as «this nation was built on immigrants» that came across as more of a rant than anything.
Okay, next. Benefit of the doubt. Maybe she’s just fired up because we’re turning people away. Maybe she is an advocate for the tired, the poor, and the huddle masses and she just got carried away and forgot she was supposed to be serving entertainment. I’ll give her a free pass on that.
She segued into an anecdote about her father. This started off with a recounting of a phone call she’d had with him over the holidays, and descended into her ranting and raving about how her father should «be a man, grow some balls, and look me in the eye» instead of being a «whiny little bitch.» The phrase «be a man» when you’re a drag queen is weird: shouldn’t drag queens have some sense of the problematic elements of this phrase, given their understanding of gender fluidity and roles? But back to the rant: it went on and I felt like she should be talking to her therapist, rather than a group of people who had come here to see drag but instead got a one-​sided, unfunny, boring, really awkward rant about what she thought of her father. Honey I just wanna see you read audience members and do some drag. Shit was getting weird. I felt uncomfortable. Also, I wanted to LAUGH. Read me to filth, but don’t bore me with what you should be sharing with your therapist.
Then there was a song about a «she» that was actually a «he», sung live, about a man who was surprised that the sex worker he paid was a «he» and not «she». I didn’t pay 100% attention to the lyrics, and I might be overly politically correct here, but am I the only one who was reminded of the murder of transgender women because a straight male found thought, «What the fuck — you’re a DUDE?!»
The traditional drag performances were okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. Some impressive dancing, glamorous costumes, etc. One of the queens didn’t know her words so if she were lip syncing for her life, she would have sashayed away.
Shock value: well if you think a vibrator and a turkey baster are funny and that makes you giggle, then this is the place for you. If, however, you’re used to more inventive drag, then skip this and watch Rupaul’s Drag Race, because even their mini challenges are more exciting than this.
The food was awful. Bland, no variety. But I guess you get what you pay for ($ 13 for all you can eat). I ordered off the menu and said I was vegan and they buttered my toast. But maybe they’re a restaurant that doesn’t know what vegan means. I recognize this is nothing to do with the drag show but then again it is, unless you don’t eat.
Sorry Mama. I tried.

Where’s the sixth star??? Mama Tits and her squad are the best in town!

Mama and the Queens gave it to us hard, long and strong and just when we thought it was over, she reached around and took us home.
I had a blast and I will definitely be back. with neatly pressed shirt of course (our inside joke)!

This is the best bang for your buck for live theater you can get! You will laugh, cry, applaud, giggle til your sides hurt, stand up & cheer, blush — you name it, you will do it! Won KING TV Best of Western Washington Theater Group for a reason! Put your glitter on & enjoy the best entertainment, live theater around! Not just a Drag Show — pure entertainment!!!

I have been to several events hosted by the FABULOUS Miss Mama Tits, so when my birthday came around I was extremely excited to find out my friends got us tickets to the show! It was everything I had hoped it would be! Entertaining, inspirational, educational, an all around great time!

Went with a few girlfriends to celebrate an early birthday. Can’t even describe what a fun filled afternoon we had.
We got our tickets ahead of time and had seats front and center. Drinks were delicious. The acts were entertaining. What more could one ask for on a Sunday afternoon?

One of my most favorite ways of spending my Sunday afternoons (after church, of course). Mama’s mini-​musicals are fantastic. The cast are extremely talented, you even get a little live singing! The costumes are great and the energetic choreography keeps things exciting and moving! The optional brunch buffet looks very tasty, but if you have a smaller appetite, you can order off the menu upstairs and have it delivered to your table downstairs. Your ticket includes a complimentary mimosa, but I highly recommend «upgrading» it to a «Mama Mimosa» — you won’t be sorry… although you might not remember the show! Did I mention Sunday afternoons are happy hour pricing for all your other cocktails?! Bring friends, bring tip money, and be prepared to get hooked on Mama and her troop of talented performers!

Mimosas with Mama is just plain fun in every way. The girls are all beautiful and extremely talented. Mama is a scream — smart, funny, sarcastic, a little bit dirty… All things I love. I’ve been to quite a few drag shows, and this show was definitely unique. Following are my thoughts:
The show itself included everything I’d expect to see at your standard drag show but much much more. Of course, we saw the lovely ladies lip-​syncing to some fantastic songs (including Liza), a group act with some «participants» from the audience that had me laughing hysterically, and a fantastic shortened reimagining of the Wizard of Oz. I’d definitely recommend the show to anyone who asked or didn’t ask for that matter.
I absolutely always love the combination of a lovely Sunday brunch with a great show. The cost for the brunch was confusingly low considering the area, $ 12 for a buffet style breakfast that was really quite good. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn’t able to order off of the full menu from the Unicorn, but I was not disappointed in the options provided.
All in all, I had a fantastic time. Spending a Sunday with Mama Tits and her girls is definitely a MUST.

Went for my first time with a group of coworkers last Sunday. We had a blast and the cast is absolutely amazing! I was laughing so hard I was crying, and what made it even better is that we got one of our coworkers up on stage to help with an act! You get 1 mimosa with your admission ticket, so that was pretty nice. I did not eat the brunch buffet, but for $ 12 you could REALLY get your moneys worth as there was a ton of food to pick from. Drinks are very reasonably priced, and their bloody marys are amazing. I can’t wait to go back!

Come for the tits, stay for the show.
And let me clarify: Mama Tits is impressive well beyond those sequin-​encrusted mounds.
Likely, you don’t know me, but let me tell you a (not so) secret– I’ve been to more drag shows than I have shoes and well, Imelda’s got nothing on me, hunty.
So, I speak from a place of glittered expertise and I’ll tell you: Mama was a gracious, funny, smart and oh-​so-​entertaining hostess. I’d seen her out and about but this is the first time I’d managed to see her perform and DAMN! It was amazing.
The show was a mix of classic drag-​synch, comedic song send ups (complete with audience on-​the-​stage-​a-​little-​against-​their-​will participation), game show w/​PRIZES, glittery prizes! and honest-​to-​goodness (albeit lip synced) not-​too-​far off Broadway theatre.
If you’ve been to that one down the way but were all ‘meh’ about it, get your sweet ass down here and come to Mama! You’ll have a damn lovely Sunday and have more fun than you ever did at that other show.
