I was so excited to hear there was a lesbain bar in seattle, my partner and I went there over gay pride weekend and paid sixty dollars for a formal. When we showed up there were only two people in there wearing formals, and the rest shorts. I was very disappointed. The drinks are ridiculous nine dollars for a bloody mary and twelve dollars for a crown and water. We definitely wont be back.

Great venue — dark, sultry and sexy. Plenty of seating, stiff drinks. Great karaōke selection. I’m definitely going back.

I attended a retirement party at Maxims. I think that it’s very nice for this type of gathering. It has all the essentials… a bar, dance floor, seating, and a DJ area. I had a great time! Wouldn’t mind having a party there for myself.

So, Maxim’s is a long time Rainier Avenue institution with a somewhat dodgy history but I wanted to go there for the Dining Club experience and not it’s dancing and social club experience. This review is based on dining only.
Yuck. Low lighting still didn’t cover up the visible dirt all over the floor, walls. Super ick.
And the food was beyond uninspired. Cold, greasy and boring with equal service to match.
I can only hope the social club is much better.
