This was the second time we were there(I always give a place at least two tries before forming an opinion). This time, i had a simple pasta marinara, but it was so incredibly salty and otherwise tasteless that it was inedible. I would love to have a good Italian place near by, but this place isn’t the one.

Thought it was a great date night/happy hour spot, especially if you’re, 1) in the area 2) trying to have a romantic night out without going overboard on Seattle prices. Ordered a glass of wine, bruschetta, and a kale caesar from the happy hour menu. Then split an entrée(truffle spaghetti and meatballs) with my date. Lastly, we ordered the tiramisu and the white chocolate crème brûlée. Total was between $ 50-$ 60 with tip.(The desserts were VERY good!) The food was good, fresh, had nice presentation and reasonable portions. The menu isn’t massive, but there still seems to be a lot of options to choose from as everything sounds delicious. Will definitely be returning to try some other things. Overall, the ambiance is probably what makes this place great as opposed to the food or service. My only complaint, or suggestion for improvement, would be that the hostess was pretty awkward. She was just kind of stand offish with us and almost talked down to us, not sure what that was about. Oh! And the crème brûlée was SO good — but the top wasn’t torched nearly enough.

I dont mind spending money on good food and atmosphere– its one of the greatest blessings in life. But this is hotel food and a sucky drink-(fortunately they traded it out for a glass of wine). I think the business model here is: spend a lot of money on location(located where a lot of people, like fish, swim through an area that passes this location), so they feed here. I just paid $ 39 for one person for hotel convention quality food. Shizzz !

I visited Lucia for the first time last night. The atmosphere is amazing! It is gorgeous inside. Very romantic if you are looking for a great date spot. I had the chicken parm and it was delicious. I also had the chocolate soufflé for dessert, and that was delicious, too. The service was mediocre and did not match the elegant design or the delicious food. Also, the bathroom doors were very dirty! How clean a bathroom is in a restaurant has a big impression on me. My advice: seal the deal with 5 star wait service. Hire waiters who are trained and experienced. Make the wait staff match your delicious food. :)

Service was spotty and server was a little uninformed and casual about our questions(we asked her what kind of tea they had and she just said she«didn’t know“etc.). Food was so-so. No baby changing table in the bathrooms — saw a mom having to change her baby on the(dirty) bathroom floor. Overall, not impressed.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here last night. Just to preface, I did not want to order something heavy or rich after all the holiday eating so I stuck with the golden and red beet salad. If you’re expecting whole slices of beets, get outta town. The salad arrived with the most minimal amount of tiny matchstick slices of beets. Lots of lettuce… whoopee, but missing a majority of the goodies. I realize I ordered a salad, so it’s my own fault right? But dang, I did expect a little more girth to it. Also, seemed like the dressing was so light I thought they didn’t put any on — and I’m one of those people who usually asks for the dressing on the side because I don’t care for overdressed salads… Anyway, if you’re going to eat here, get a pizza. I learned my lesson and I’ll probably stick to a more traditional Italian restaurant as opposed to this modern one.

Ordered the caprese($ 5) and the mini calzones($ 7) off their happy hour menu. Mediocre food. There was only one other woman in the restaurant when I arrived… would be surprised if this is here in a year.

I always have the best experience here!!! They served brunch LATE which is great for me because I am a sleepy head on the weekends(I’ve never understood those places that stop serving brunch at noon… That’s when I’m waking up!) In the dining room part of the restaurant they always have a classic old movie like Casablanca or Breakfast at Tiffany’s projecting onto a wall which I love so much about Lucia. So random but so classy! The bar has a good vibe too and has the game playing even though it doesn’t feel like a sports bar. And the food!!! I have had The Right Side Of the Bed(a cheesy cream-sauce based casserole-type dish that is super delish and very decadent), The Green Thumb Frittata(probably my favorite dish here… A cast-iron skillet of eggs and veggies. Not sure if it’s intentional that the veggies are Italian colors. Red and green pepper and onion. It also comes with a side of potatoes.) And recently I splurged calorie-wise and got the Brioche French toast. Soooooo good. Perfect amount of egg/custard to bread and so tasty. I got it with whip cream and berries. I will be coming back here again and often!

Stopped by Lucia for brunch this past weekend at the request of my friend who has been meaning to try it. Located right across from The Little Red Hen, it’s in a primo spot in the Greenlake area. I went on a Sunday and it didn’t take me too long to find street parking.(Apparently there’s a garage entrance on one of the side streets, but unless you’re looking for it, you probably wouldn’t know they had one.) Lucia itself is a well designed restaurant with an enormous bar that beckons you to come hither. Lots of cocktail options for your morning brunch needs, too. I was struggling between the Crab Cake Benedict and the Short Rib Hash, but ultimately decided on the Short Rib Hash based on the recommendation from a neighboring patron and the wait staff. Excellent choice indeed. Short Rib was tender just as you’d expect, on top of well seasoned potatoes.(Because the Short Rib Hash was covered in sauce, I wanted to sample the potatoes from my friend’s dish and it’s even better with any interference from sauce/gravy. So, so good.) Service was a bit slow and they got 2 of our orders wrong, but the employees were friendly and the food was good. I was not too disappointed and would stop by again.

Way too pricey for the small portions they give you. Didn’t even get any bread or anything. 2 stars because the place was nice looking and the food was good. Just spent too much money to leave still hungry…

The place is Zagat rated, I live around the area and passed by this place a few times. They’re always busy, but today they weren’t so busy during day time, which was nice. Everything, from food, service, and atmosphere is 5 star. The reason I gave 4(with intention of 4.5), because when we walked in, the place was empty, we didn’t get seated as said, and assuming with the host table, we just wait. Somehow we walked ourselves in, after a quick waiting, because the bartender seem to be the only person on the floor. So, about ¾ of the bar tables were pretty dirty, and so we ended up sitting at a 4 top, rather than a cozy 2 top we were looking at. The bar tender seem to be in a bit of a hurry, as we’re just finishing, and he dropped the utensils from collecting the dishes, and stained my jacket from the sauce. What can I do? Nothing! However, he noticed my fiancé trying to clean the stain off of my jacket, the bartender somehow managed to bring a club soda with towel for us to clean my jacket. Overall experience, I wasn’t all disappointed, it’s worth the going, but just need quick cleaning for upcoming guests. #food #foodporn #service #yummy #fun

Great service, very prompt even with a 16 top! Our waitress tried her best to get everyone their right order and was able to get EVERYONES dish out at the same time. Sometimes with a table this large food comes out sporadically but they were able to accommodate us very well. Their food is also pretty darn tasty. The price point will definitely reflect within the service you receive. Overall experience is 3 star worthy

This place is beyond gorgeous… from everything to the light fixtures to the Audrey movies playing above the fireplace. I was in heaven. My friend and I came here because she had a Groupon — I had no idea this little gem was tucked away in Greenlake. Our waitress was really friendly and was patient and informative as she answered all of our questions about the menu. I normally don’t rave about the bread(especially focaccia) but this one was amazing… delicious creamy balsamic vinaigrette dip too. I ordered the Fancy Pants drink(so cute) and it was lovely. I’m not usually too into drinks made with herbs, but the basil gave it an unexpected and yummy twist. For my entrée, I ordered the Pasta Prosciutto — really tasty. It seemed a little rich at first, but after a few bites I was loving it. I’m always a fan of any pasta dish with peas and angel hair. I am excited to try other items on the menu, but will definitely come back to this dish soon! Loved this place so much that I booked my big birthday dinner here in a few weeks. Reasonable prices, gorgeous décor and yummy food. we need more places like this in the city!

We’ve been here 3+ times now, and always had a really good meal in a inviting restaurant. The main dining room is open and airy, plays a black & white movie(same one every time, sadly) on silent up on one wall, and is comfortable. Windows look out onto the street; there’s also outdoor seating. The bar area is more energetic and lively with the same friendly service. Everything we’ve eaten here keeps us coming back. Solid American-Italian fare with good flavors. The pasta is never overcooked. Their meat entrees are equally tasty and well prepared.

Summer 2014. I found this place right when it opened, as I frequently walked this area(for yoga and groceries). I was excited to try it, and so delighted when I did. I ate here often at varying times of the day. I brought several different friends/dates with me, and each one enjoyed it also. Every meal I ever had here was fantastic. Strike that — superb. I love that this place had the casual Seattle feel, but the food was easily stuff that you’d find in a bougie restaurant. Other greatness: All the deserts were delicious. Decent wine selection. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. I loved the outdoor seating. I no longer live in the area, but I definitely miss this place.

Good Italian food. I had the capalloni. It was like a big ravioli with chicken and pasta inside covered with baked cheese… omg! I will want that again. My cucumber cocktail was a bit strong and a slight too tarty for me. If it was more a bit more bubbly and refreshing like I thought, I would have dug it. but i did get a buzz lol so I’m not complaining.

3.5 stars My friend was familiar with the Kirkland location and suggested we check out this new location before heading to Greenlake Park. Three of us girls came here and it was during happy hour(our favorite meal of the day) and had some white wine(Pinot Grigio) and shared some small plates. We sat in the bar and the décor was lovely. Very modern and chic. I especially liked the light fixtures and the wine holders. Here’s what we had: meatballs in Milano sauce, beef pizza with arugula and caramelized onions, truffle Mac and cheese, crab cakes and caprese. The meatballs were my favorites and the creamy mushroom sauce was delicious! It came with two large meatballs and buttery toast. My second favorite was the truffle Mac and cheese. Very cheesy and had a salty and seasoned crumble on top. I would definitely order those two dishes the next time I return. The meal was only $ 20 per person with tax and tip — very reasonable. And since it was Sunday we found free street parking a couple of blocks away. Solid happy hour spot.

Missed HH but had a Groupon. Great service, nice high ceilings, modern décor. Good place to sit outside when weather gets warmer. If you sit in the last sunny table in bar area near restrooms, you will be blinded by sun & mirror. Better at sunset. Monkey do: DUNGENESSCRABCAKES– avocado, candied pancetta, spicy aioli, arugula — eh SPAGHETTIBOLOGNESE– slow cooked rich ragu — ground beef over spaghetti. coulda made that at home PENNEANGELINA– garlic cream sauce, chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese — good, but still coulda made it yourself. Monkey shall return with Groupon and too lazy to cook, which is easy to do after enjoying a beautiful day at Green Lake.

I’ve come here and always sat in the bar, having a glass of wine and some small bites but never a full deal meal. I love to take class at Pure Barre then head here after with a girlfriend or group for some wine and snacks! The food I’ve had has been delicious. I’m a huge fan of the roasted beet salad with fried goat cheese(FRIED. GOAT. CHEESE.) — the beets come with greens and light dressing which is so tasty mixed with the cheese! Delicious! I’ve had the calamari, also good but the dipping sauces are nothing to write home about. The pizzettas are great to share, and the carpaccio is also fresh and delicious!

I like Lucia. I’ve been to the one in Kirkland before and was glad to see that this new location was more spacious and open. I’ve come here 3x since it opened, once for dinner and twice for HH. They have HH everyday 3 – 6 and 9 – 11 and 3-close Sundays. The layout/interior of this place is right up my alley, clean, smooth lines mixed w/wood. For dinner, I tried their signature spaghetti w truffle and the proscioutto and arugula pizza. I liked both dishes, but they didn’t blow me away. However, I did like the bottle of wine we ordered which was reasonably priced($ 30). For HH, I tend to get a glass of their HH wine, I’ve tried both red and white n enjoyed them. I’ve also tried the HH meatballs, the kobe beef pizzeta, truffled mac n cheese, and stuffed mushrooms. I like how you can choose from 3 sauces for the meatballs and the kobe beef pizzeta has a nice horseradish kick to it. My bf enjoyed the truffled mac n cheese, it def has a strong truffle flavor. I’d prob skip the mushrooms next time. Service has been variable, but better than not. It seems that they have a few kinks to work out as one time it took a bit for someone to notice we needed menus. Otherwise, the waitresses we’ve had have been personable and friendly. This place has a lot of potential, however it will probably stay a HH spot for me as the prices are a tad high for a regular dinner. Plus, HH twice a day makes it easy to stop by for a glass of wine or a small bite.
