Good food, interesting menu choices, and a good time. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is AMAZING! The food is the best authentic Italian food you can get without going to Italy. I will continue to go back to this place as much as I can. It is totally worth the 35 – 40 minute drive from my house! The pollo valtellina is absolutely to die for! It’s run by family and usually you will find Marcello and Dario’s mom and dad at the restaurant. It’s an amazing place, a little pricey but well worth it!

Delicious gnocchi but the price is really high for a dish that doesn’t come with meat! Portions are good and service is superb.

There wasn’t ANYTHING we didn’t like about this restaurant! A very authentic Italian experience with the atmosphere, food & service. Pasta was cooked to perfection… Spaghetti Bella, Penne Carciofi, Ravioli Crema… Superb!

I was really pleasantly impressed with this place. I feel bad it’s taken me so long to try it. Marcello has a good thing going here, it’s no wonder it’s been around do long. It has a nice cozy neighborhood feel. The wait staff was great and the chef greeted us as we entered. The food was what makes this place shine though. Not overly frilly just delicious traditional Italian that feels like you came to a good friends house to eat and they wanted to make something you’d love. I don’t remember the exact names of the dishes but mine was veal with some kind of fig reduction and roasted potatoes that was perfect. My wife had a seafood spaghetti. Both were excellent and portions were generous. For desert the tiramisu was perfectly simple and delicious. The way it should be. Lastly it was nice to finally get a generous pour of vino for once in a restaurant. We’ll definitely be coming back here soon.

This is my first time going to the restaurant and it was delicious. The ambience is very nice and waitstaff was great. Our waitress did a wonderful job of spreading out time between each of our courses so that we didn’t feel rushed. We had the Gamberi rose to start, yummy sauce. I had the spinach salad and my friend had the Caesar salad. The spinach salad was so amazing. I had orichette Valeria and my friend had the gnocchi. Both were so amazing! Will definitely go back.

Right off the bat, the ambiance and service is fantastic. The servers are very attentive and really take good care of you. We started off with the Caeser Salad which was really good. They use whole lettuce leaves instead of the chopped ones which is a nice change from most places. I got the Orecchiette Valeria. It was really good. I would probably have liked a little more sauce since it tends to dry up pretty quickly but the pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. My wife got the Gnocchi Gorgonzola which unfortunately was not very good. The gorgonzola in the sauce was just way too overpowering and masked every other flavor in the dish. It would be nice if they cut back a little on that so as to make it more palatable and subtle. All we could taste was the blue cheese which unfortunately ruined what otherwise could have been a beautiful gnocchi dish. Overall the food is pretty good and the service is fantastic. The prices are a little on the higher side but they seem to have deals on Groupon and Amazon Local so look out for those. I’d probably go back here again some day to try a few more of their dishes but I’m not sure if this would be my «go-to» spot of Italian food.

We had the unpleasant experience of eating at Marcello Ristorante while the sun was still up. That meant no candlelight. In the light of day, one can see the grimy walls and patched-up ceiling and filthy floor. It was just too dirty to enjoy the so-so food. And the waitress seemed annoyed that we were there expecting out table to be waited on.

We tried this restaurant for the first time with a Groupon but we’ve been back multiple times! Everything we’ve tried has been wonderful and large portion sizes. Our favorite dishes are Orecchiette Valeria and the Penne Gamberi. The only downfall is that when the restaurant gets busy during the weekend, its chaos! We were dining when another very large party was in for a birthday party and the wait was long to be seated and to get our food. I asked about excluding something from my entrée and the waitress said no exceptions b/c they were too busy. Some come visit on a weekday or make a reservation.

I had a coupon from and decided to use it to take my mother out for mother’s day. We had early reservations, so anticipated that all the food would be very fresh. We ordered the Jumbo Prawns appetizer in the creamy tomato sauce. The sauce was delicious, but the Prawns were very tough as if they hadn’t been freshly prepared for our table. I had the veal and my mother had the pork, both cuts were tough as they were over cooked, but again the sauces were very good. My daughter had the Fettuccini Balinese and the minestrone soup, she said she really enjoyed it For desert we had the Tiramisu the portion was large and it was very good, with the exception of a very heavy hand on the coco powder topping(to the point that it ended up on our clothes) The staff was very good, our blonde waitress was so attentive that my teen daughter even commented as to how on top of it she was for always keeping an eye on our drinks. I would have given a much higher rating if things hadn’t been over cooked, perhaps it was an off night, but I would have preferred to wait a bit longer and gotten food prepared especially for us instead of what seemed like things taken from a hot station.

I was craving for a good Chicken Parmesan, like the ones from the best Italian Restaurants in São Paulo, Brazil(which are Better than the Italian ones), and found exactly that at Marcello’s Ristorante(by the way, whata pretty name… just sayin’). It was not in the menu, which by the way had AMAZING options, but chef was phenomenal by doing it off the menu and even let me customize it, by replacing one of the sides by fettucini pomodoro. It was simply De-li-cious!!! It’s my 2nd time at this place and they always step up the game. As I always say, «the best restaurant is the ones that provides such great product or service that you are even afraid to try something new».

So glad we came upon this quaint little place. Everything was so delicious. If only we could order everything on the menu to have a sample. Absolutely loved the bruschetta. We’re visiting Seattle for the weekend. Wonder if I can convince hubby to come here again and again for the remainder of our trip. lol. The place is decorated in a very romantic setting which is both inviting for couples and families alike. The service was excellent. Though I really didn’t care for the bread that they brought out in the beginning with the olive oil, which is fine with me. Don’t need to fill myself up on that stuff when there’s so much other deliciousness there. Yummm…just writing this review(right after I ate a full tummy’s worth) makes me want to go back now!

psh, i’ve got a ton of credit and am struggling to use them. searching through the restaurants, i found marcello. this is a place i’ve been to before… a long time ago. this is like a tbt review! i brought a couple of friends and our goal was to spend enough to let me use my coupon. it’s a homestyle, family type place. lots of couples arrive and some are dressed nicely, although we were very casual. we took a lot of time choosing our eats, and the staff was super with us. i forgot that this was a family type place the portions are pretty good. i asked for a primi(spaghetti) and a secondi(vitello), which ended up being way too much. the spaghetti was really quite good(maybe a touch too many capers), while the vitello was a bit chewy. our server was super adorable and gave me credit for TRYING to eat all that food. lol. i did NOT belong to the clean plate club. i think the spaghetti would have been plenty good enough.

I’ve been here once years ago because they had a Groupon deal and I don’t remember what I ordered, however I do remember that it was really nice and service was great. I got the chance to visit again recently for a friend’s birthday party. We had 14 people in our group, although the restaurant isn’t that big, it was great that they were able to accommodate our large party. I also saw they had outdoor seating. I ordered their ORECCHIETTEVALERIA(I believe that was what it was called). It was very delicious, it had little ears pasta, prosciutto, pancetta, basil, parmesan, and pecorino, in a tomato cream sauce. And, the serving size was plentiful!

The portions were large. The staff, was very friendly. And the outside patio is pretty spacious, so I imagine it would be nice during the summer. Decent place for«average Italian», though I hate to say I was slightly underwhelmed. I had the bolognese and my friend had the orechiette. They were both fine, but for the price, I would probably head downtown for some more complex flavors and better ambiance. Let’s say, if I was in the area, I might stop by if I was pretty hungry, but I would probably not go out of my way for this place.(For the record, however, I am kind of a «foodie» when it comes to Italian food.) It might be a nice place for a «casual» romantic dinner, but it’s priced a bit high for casual dining in my opinion.

Gf had mentioned the place a few times and wanted to try it out so we had date night here. It was a summer night so we dined outside, but as the night grew on it got colder. They had a heating lamp outside and turned it on just for the two of us which was nice. We ordered the Gnocchi Gorgognocchi and the Orecchiette Taras. It was my first time having Gnocchi so I am not sure how its«supposed» to taste, but it was delishhh! The serving was spot on and I usually leave a little hungry when we visit Italian restaurants. The latter wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t rememberable either. The gf ended up eating more off my plate than her own: P

Marcello’s website is apparently out of commission, which is like shooting your business in the foot in 2014. Hopefully they will get that fixed soon. I enjoy Marcello’s. Their menu has a wider range than the mozzarella and tomato sauce that dominate most American Italian restaurants. I’ve been here twice and had the Pollo Valtellina(chicken in a cream sauce with mushrooms, almonds, prosciutto and provolone) and the Spaghetti Nettuno(pasta with seafood). Both were very good, though I preferred the chicken. The side dish here seems to always be sauteed spinach, which is not my favorite, but the amount they give is generous. They have a lemon sorbet dessert served inside a hollowed out lemon, which is good, as well as the usual desserts like tiramisu. Atmosphere is a step above casual, but not fancy either. It’s very welcoming. There are only about 3 spaces in the parking lot here but there’s ample street parking around the area. ~4.5 stars but I’ll round it up to 5 because that Pollo Valtellina really was great. I’ll probably try the orecchiette next time as that sounds good as well.

Not sure why there aren’t more 5 star reviews here. While on vacation from New York, we just so happened to find this place while in the mood for Italian. It ended up being a shining highlight for our entire trip, and truthfully, one of the best plates of food I’ve ever eaten. The orecchiette with pancetta was 10⁄10 good. The service, I mean my gosh the owner came out on the patio and sat with us on this beautiful early summer evening. We both loved our food, it couldn’t have been more romantic, or memorable. People of Seattle, you have a real gem here, and I know many of you already realize it. These restauranteurs were born to do this. Thank you Marcello, we will be back the next time we come out west.

Love the ambiance, this is just such a cute little homey restaurant. We made a reservation and when we arrived they offered us an even better table near the fireplace if we just waited 5 min by the bar until the people at the table left. Perfect spot! Our server was great and able to answer all of our questions. We came in on a groupon & still got exceptional service. I probably never would have come here on my own without the deal. They definitely know how to treat all of their customers well. You feel like royalty here. I ordered the gnocchi Gorgonzola which I really enjoyed and a house salad. My friend wanted the orocheti(sp?) pasta but by the time the server came back for our dinner order, they were all out. So she ended up getting a pork dish, which was ok but way too much Dijon sauce. The Dijon completely overpowered the meal. I tried it & really didn’t like hers. Luckily my meal was good & I had enough left over for tomorrow. At the end of the meal we let our server know about how the Dijon had overpowered her meal, he told the chef & came back with a slice of chocolate pie for us. Extremely nice of them! The food was good, the service excellent, and such a cute restaurant. Will definitely be back!
