Good happy hour spot! They have a nice selection of specials, and a good crowd when we checked it out on a Wednesday evening. I really like the décor/vibe of this place, it’s trendy without being stuffy/trying too hard, and we had great service as well. This is one of my go-to bars in Belltown!

Cute little wine bar! I love how wine bars are popping up and becoming more popular, because I love wine more than cocktails. They have awesome wine flight options, which is always the best thing to get if you simply want a taste of everything. Got the white wine/rose flight. Most of the wines are from the Washington area, so it’s focused on local wines. The décor of the wine bar is cozy and intimate, with a bit of french modernism. Low lighting. A nice place to spend a quiet night.

Drinks were phenomenal! I ordered a custom Gin Mule(muddled mint with top shelf gin instead of standard) and the nice bartender made it perfectly, exceeding my expectations. They make their own ginger beer which is the best I’ve tasted– it was slightly ginger ‘spicy’ and so good. Their locally sourced liquors, homemade bitters and ginger beer is pretty cool and there wasn’t a single drink we tried that wasn’t awesome. HOWEVER… I REALLY wanna give this place 5-stars! But it took forever to get our drinks. The one bartender/waitress(yes, you heard right, ONE during happy hour on the weekend) that was serving us was really really awesome. She was hustling to make sure we got our drinks(along with everyone else in the busy place) and was precise about the orders, getting everything right to a ‘t’. She was incredibly tedious with her drink mixing, which I didn’t mind because they all turned out awesomely– but it took 20 minutes to get a single drink. It wasn’t her fault– the place was understaffed. When several other employees showed up later they kind of wandered in like there was no rush, took their time wandering around aimlessly while this poor alcohol artist ran around like a chicken with her head cut off. It took almost an hour and a half to get a cheese plate we ordered(even though it was totally worth every bite). The management needs to address the understaffed problem… If you’re not in a rush, are looking for great bar nibbles and awesome drinks at decent prices(especially happy hour) this is the place for you. If you’re in a rush, you’re missing out, but I understand…

Their cheeese plate does worth it. The dry Italian salami is really good also. I got the Market Tour plate with cheese, salami, warm baguette and almonds for $ 13 and it’s plenty food! The place is really nice also. You should try!

I really enjoyed the environment of this place. Small/cozy interior. Seat yourself. Tables or bar options. I met a friend on a Tuesday evening about 830 – 9. The waitress was attentive but not in our face and kept our water glasses full. We each did a flight to vary the wines we could taste. It’s a little dark… But I guess that sets the tone for intimate conversation and socialization. This is a place I would enjoy regularly. Beget for smaller parks.

Really cute bar in Belltown. It wasn’t very busy on a rainy Thursday during happy hour. They offer wine flights and you choose 3 for $ 13. The pours were generous. I tried the sauvignon blanc, riesling, and gewürztraminer — the sauvignon blanc and riesling were a bit too dry for my taste; surprisingly the gewürztraminer was my fave. Unfortunately I had to cut this visit short, but will definitely return.

*** In Short *** Chill, quiet bar with interesting, but lackluster drinks. *** In Depth *** Granted, it was a Tuesday evening, and Seattle folks don’t seem to drink nearly as much as us San Franciscans. But, having had dinner(and drinks) earlier at List, our next stop was, naturally, more drinks! After a great deal of searching and deliberation, my friend and I ended up giving Clever Bottle a go, trying their rum and rye old fashioned, as well as the angel and the fool. While others have experienced weak, watered-down drinks, we experienced quite the opposite: drinks that were almost a little too strong, not particularly well balanced, and tasting primarily of booze and bitters. Now, if that’s your thing, this is totes the spot for you! I mean, my friend loved the place, so to each their own, but I’ll be sticking to other bars on future visits. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue — Seating was a bit sparse, from what I remember, with a few high tops, some high top counter seating, and possibly some outdoor seating. Plenty of space to maneuver about as long as the place isn’t packed, but finding a proper height table may be difficult. Bathroom — Accessible!

The blood orange margarita was yummy and my honey enjoyed his dirty martini. This was our second visit here and they do pour a stiff drink. Although they have a great crowd we were also fortunate enough to get a great seat as we did before.

As soon as I saw the cocktail menu, I knew this would be my kind of place. All the drinks sound delicious and veer on the fruity/flowery side. I really liked my bourbon bramble which came in a mason jar(I felt so hipster). The only thing to be warned of is that these drinks are STRONG. You will definitely taste the alcohol no matter how sweet/fruity these drinks sound. Also, there is limited seating for groups. We were a party of 6 and had to squeeze at two small tables. Cocktails are relatively cheap at $ 10! I’m from NY so used to paying $ 15 and up…

I only came for the nice atmosphere and rustic-inspired cocktails. Otherwise, I couldn’t get myself to like this place for other reasons bc whilst sitting at the bar I saw both lady bartenders just being plain unsanitary. (Perhaps this is what I should expect of hipster folk of belltown? Au naturale is like the thing right?) I saw one girl assembling a salami/meat platter without washing her hands after handling a rag. She used her bare/dirty fingers to handle each slice of meat, then she wiped the grease on her pants and cut the cheese in like manner. The other girl was cleaning glasses; but it was so careless there were remnants of herbs just hanging around the rims and she just kept adding these shallowly washed cups into the«clean» pile. Service is mediocre at best. Must I get into that as well? You’re just going to think I’m negative now. I had a fun night, though

Cool little bar in the area of bars. Its very hipster, not as divey. They have some cool drinks, and the bartended made them pretty strong, which was good. The seating area is small, with a few tables and places to hang. The bar area also was pretty small. Service was pretty good for our experience, drinks were made to order and came out pretty fast.

Came here yesterday on a Monday, small quait place. Maybe it’s busier on the weekend. The place was nice, bartender was attentive. Drinks were good, good pour by the bartender. I had the Ginger Mule, and I really liked it. I’m a fan of ginger so this drink was good, and a strong pour. Would defintely stop by again.

What a fantastic place! I needed to find somewhere awesome for my wife’s birthday, and saw all of the great reviews of this place and decided to give them a call! All of the interactions leading up to the event were great. Kristen(the owner) was very accommodating, reasonable, and easy to work with. We planned the event successfully and the only thing left was the execution. The venue was great. We had our own semi-private room but the ambiance from the main bar area was still there as the room was only separated off by white curtains. This turned out to be a great touch as any lull during the event was quickly filled with other patrons from the bar. She allowed us to come early to decorate and even allowed us to bring in a cake from another bakery and store in her refrigerator. We had our own custom cocktail for the evening that she made based on our preferences, and our bartender was very attentive! Most importantly, the cocktails that came all night were all very tasty. All in all, we had a fantastic evening. I’d highly recommend this place for any gathering as Kristen was a breeze to work with.

Came to Clever Bottle to grab a drink or two before an event, we got there about 7pm and there were only a few people in there so it was nice & chill. No drink specials at that time but whatever. Sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly and so was the server. They have interesting cocktails, forgot what my friend got but it was gin with mint that tasted like a mojito, it was pretty good. I just stuck to beer, only about 2 beers on tap and the rest is canned or bottle. They do have some snack items to eat as we saw a gentleman having a charcuterie plate with his drink. The place is on the small side, so not the best place to come with a large group. I do like they play records for you to listen to and I believe you can request a certain record to play in their collection that’s against the wall. Saw a dog in there so Im thinking its dog-friendly. If you bar hopping, this place is next to a bunch of other places too. Overall, it was a nice place for us to start the night and get the drinking engines going.

Absolutely love this place! It’s a nice cozy venue with amazing drinks and ambiance. The owner/bartender is totally awesome too! If I lived in Belltown, this would totally be my go to. I havent tried the food yet, but I’m pretty confident that it’s awesome as well. Definitely going back!

Perfect place for a lowkey /chill girls night out. The cocktails here are amazing and tons of «girly drinks» for me to choose from, which was a definite plus. The only issue I had was that when you first walk in, it says something similar to, «Pick a place to sit. We’ll be with you shortly.» But they never came to our table to check on us. We had to go up to the bar to order multiple times. She also forgot a few of our dishes and drinks, so again, we had to go back and forth to re-order. My friend still never got her pretzel after us being there for 3+ hours and asking twice. =\

This post is a long-time coming! I was here for a corporate event. We had rented out the whole bar for our party. They let us decorate however we wanted and had hot and cold appetizers just waiting for us when we got there. The two bartenders working were sweet and kind. My boyfriend bumped my drink off the table and when the glass shattered, the guy bartender was totally zen about it and insisted on sweeping it up for us. Then he comped me a new drink! Totally cool. The vibe in this place is really relaxed and modern. They have a framed, melted record on the wall with great lighting and stylish bottles lining the shelves. I don’t drink but I’d be happy to come in for happy hour and get a mocktail with some friends again! The only thing I would give a tip on is this bar is small so if you have a big group, I’d call ahead to make sure there would be room.

After being rejected at Bathtub Gin TWICE(yeah, my self esteem took a toll), Clever Bottle was a welcome respite from the chilly night. This down home spot could almost be a dive, if it weren’t for the great cocktail menu. Not as great as Rob Roy two blocks away, but can hold its own if you want decent drinks made with fresh juices and home made bitters. I had the State of the Art with gin, crème de violette and lime juice. The menu specified lavender infused ice cubes, but that wasn’t the case.(maybe they ran out?) My sis had a virgin Mojito since she was our DD. And what a great way to celebrate the holidays! they had EGGNOG as a special on the night we came in. I love the vintage cup it was served in and only $ 7! Way cheaper than their other cocktails. On my next trip back, I won’t be as bummed if I get rejected again at Bathtub Gin!
