Super friendly baristas, reasonably priced coffee, great ambience. Great spot to warm up and work on stuff(free wifi) near greenlake park

Great place to people watch and hide from the rain. Get a drip coffee first. Drink it black. Enjoy the full flavored and complex coffee. Rinse & Repeat. The good news is that I can depend on having a talented barista behind the counter for days I feel like a latte or mocha will satisfy my inner fat kid a little better. Plus, a jar of Ding Dongs. Someone explain that though please.

I came here for coffee and to get a little work done, and it knocked both out of the park. I got a drip coffee and it was nice and strong and had good flavor, oh and it was only $ 2 something. They have free wifi and a nice bar area by the window to work from with outlets. It was great standing height which I enjoy when I am working. I will definitely be back for another visit.

I really just love all the Bauhaus cafes I have been too, they have all been very spacious, clean, and just a great place to study or work. I have tried their quiche and coffee, both were great! The atmosphere here is peaceful and with so many cafes that have over crowding this location as well as the one in Ballard are both great. But be warned, every time I’ve been here I could not use my check in reward because they were out of cookies so come in super early if you want it.

The baristas are seriously top notch. I’m not sure where they got all these cheerful white girls from, but I like it! I’ve never had one that wasn’t super friendly. I’m not a very friendly person off the bat, but these girls always manage to strike up a non-annoying conversation. Very impressive! Coffee is great, and I get a discount from working on the block. The only gripe is that the food has been so transitional. They started with locally made sandwiches/salads that I have seen in other shops along with what seemed like their own kitchen and a good amount of lunch/light dinner fare. This went away, and then I think even the cold case offerings changed… Now it seems like Piroshky piroshky is doing their food. I haven’t tried it yet, because I am nervous I will love it and they will change it up again. :(

A very solid darker brew. I like comparing drop coffee from various coffee shops around Seattle and have to say this is one of the finest.

They really need to hire more staff because there is always one gal working the whole front. Came in and waited forever just to place my order. There was only two people ahead of me. The barista instead decided it would be a great time to stop and write a check to the delivery guy while making everyone wait.

Best coffee in greenlake. Super smooth and not bitter at all and the barista makes a cute little heart out of the foam yay

Right by Greenlake, this Bauhaus is nicely located right by Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop. This means that I can enjoy some nicely brewed coffee and if I get too stressed from my studies, I can walk over and buy some ice cream to de-stress. Besides their convenient location, their coffee is rich and earthy. Not too strong and not too watered down. Perfect to enjoy while studying esp because of their quiet yet calming ambience!

Forgot to post photos from my visit on 3÷18÷15. Consistently friendly baristas, tasty mochas, nice mix of tunes, and great place to just hang out! Love all the Bauhaus locations, but I have better parking karma(street or underground garage) over at the Green Lake site.

Love this coffee shop! The staff are amazing, they have my drink down pat! I love how passionate they are about their coffee and its very consistent. The same delicious Vanilla latte every time. I love that I can get almond milk and a Mighty O’s donut before my venture around the lake! This place is busy and that’s an awesome thing so their priority is getting the coffee to the people but when its not you don’t see them standing around they are always cleaning up and I even saw one of their staff washing the bottom of the chair they other day, that’s huge and speaks volumes to this sweet gem in Green Lake! Mad props to this wicked coffee shop, they have my heart!

It’s the little things. My review was removed a bit ago for a lack of reference to this place(bullshit) so I’m following up. It’s the little things. Shortening the store hours twice in a year’s time, and also the hidden charges that are added to your tab. A 2.60 cup of coffee«rounds up» to 3 dollars even. How? Washington State prepared food tax maxes out at 10 percent, so your coffee SHOULD be 2.86 at most. They help themselves to an additional fourteen cents, and they do this on all orders, thousands of times a week. This adds up, and still the hours were shortened. SMH This is already the most expensive coffee in town, even before they went into the pocket picking business. This is a town full of good coffee places. I’ll go to the ones that are a little more deserving of my business. PS– the baristas here are snotty and slow. It must be said.

Solid spot for a cuppa. Or a tea, or baked goods or pre-prepped foods and water. Basically this is a quiet, cozy space for anyone needing a rest from walking Greenlake or if they’re looking for a spot to get some work done. WIFI is free(squee!) and service here was extremely polite. I popped by for a meeting and ended up staying a little longer to get work done. It was quiet the whole time but not because it was dead, it was perfectly busy without being loud. Will have to make it a point to come back here again soon. It’ll likely be my go-to coffee stop before or after Greenlake walks.

If you’re going to be literally one of the most expensive places to get coffee and pastries in Seattle, it’d help to not continually change the times to closer earlier and earlier, forcing me out the door before I have a chance to even consume anything. The closing times have changed from 12 am(good!), to 11 pm(still ok), to now 9 pm(what?). I miss me some Cake Envy, which stayed open til 10, and they served cupcakes! The barista told me the ever-shrinking night-time hours is all some corporate decision that they vehemently protested. My guess is someone is making a huge error in continually making this place close sooner and sooner. Sure, if you look at revenue on a per hour basis, the revenue may not match the costs for the latest hours. But this neglects the fact that I may only come to your coffee shop in the first place and purchase something at 9 if I can stay an hour and a half to lounge around. Given that I can no longer do this, I sadly won’t be coming back. And so continues the downward spiral of earlier closing times…

Good coffee in Greenlake area. Darker ambiance. There are quite a few people using free wifi. Tried a baby cherry pie, surprisingly good.

Came to this coffee shop for a quick bite. Food came out fast and was fresh. I got a raspberry mocha with dark chocolate, chicken pot pie and bacon skillet. The mocha was excellent. Not to sweet but very flavorful! The food however was a bit under salted. It almost was tastsless(although very well presented). The chicken pot pie crust was very flaky and crisp but with the filling not having much flavor, I can’t give it 4 stars. In addition, there was free WiFi and atmosphere was great. Food was a bit pricey. I would only come back for the coffee not the food.

This is my first time at the Bauhaus Green Lake location. I must say in comparison to the Ballard one, this one seems bigger and roomier. With that said, if you plan to do work here, there are just not enough plugs. I cannot really talk about the coffee as I ordered a large hot chocolate and a chicken pot pie. The hot chocolate was not very sweet. Impressive in its size I must say it is sub par in its taste. It could definitely be creamier/smoother and could use a tad more sweetener. Besides the size, i would say that the hot chocolate is nothing special. The chicken pot pie was really good, but they gave my order to someone that was behind me without knowing it. The pies are made to order, so if someone else orders it, they may think it is theirs and take your order instead. This happens to the best of shops, so I am not docking points for that part. They were very apologetic and even gave me a cookie on the house. The pot pie was very creamy and rich. Being that it was made to order, the veggies and the whole thing was just fresh and piping hot. The flaky crust on top was probably the best thing! Especially on a cold rainy day, that pot pie hit the spot! I only gave Bauhaus a three star because I find the beverages a little expensive and underwhelming. I will update this review when I get a chance to taste their coffees.

The first time I visited Bauhaus Green Lake, I was very impressed. Their dessert case is huge with a very large selection. Their selection of savory items isn’t half bad either. The baristas are friendly and the pumpkin cheesecake I ordered was scrumptious and the cold brew was perfectly smooth. That visit was worth 5 stars. The second time I visited unfortunately, I left very frustrated. The lemon cake I ordered was dry, the cake tasted stale and old and should have been thrown out a day ago. The other patrons had left chairs pulled out everywhere, making the coffee house difficult to navigate with coffee and cake in each hand and laptop bag and purse on each hip. Coffee cup rings and crumbs sat on the table I ended up at. The staff here need to walk around to tuck chairs in and wipe down tables every 30 minutes or so to keep it tidy. I would give them another try next time I’m in the area and will update my review at that time.

I love that this place is right next to my apartment! I came here to grab some early morning coffee, and was pleasantly surprised how inviting and friendly the staff was! On top of that, the coffee is absolutely delicious and robust! I will definitely be back here :)
