My husband and I had the food delivered to us it came at a good time, but the food wasn’t good. At first we thought we should take a couple more bites to see if it got better but it didn’t. We just stopped and threw it away and felt disgusted after. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Great Chinese food for eating in. It’s definitely been our go to for delivery. Nothing too special about it but have found it’s not easy finding decent Chinese food in SF and this place has been good.

delivery is horribly inconsistent… sitting here wondering if it’ll ever show… 40+ mins later and I’m done — will cancel this order –they can eat their cold delivery !

If you like Chinese food, don’t like noisy restaurants, and are put off by the unreasonably high prices charged by most restaurants in the Castro Street area of San Francisco, then you should give Red Jade a try. I eat at Red Jade with my spouse and friends several times each month and make use of their take-out service just as often. The food is excellent and the portions are substantial — when we go there we always order more than we expect to eat so that we can take the rest home for future meals. Service at the Red Jade is friendly and efficient. Even when most of the tables are occupied, the noise level is low enough for comfortable conversation — not like most San Francisco restaurants, where you have to shout to talk to the person across the table from you. My favorite dishes at Red Jade are the Yee Wor Wonton Soup($ 9.50), the Happy Family Special(Jumbo prawns, fresh fruits, and glazed walnuts) at $ 12.95, and the Chicken Chow Fun with Black Bean Sauce($ 8.95).

Not worth the money at all. Pot stickers were still pink on the inside so there’s $ 7.00 down the drain, let’s be honest I’m not trying to get food poisoning my first time in SF. About 7 pieces of decent pork in the sweet and sour pork, the bottom was soggy with sauce and mushy so another $ 8.00 gone. My chicken lettuce wrap and crab rangoon were the only decent things we got, but I’ve had better elsewhere for cheaper. The sad thing was the Parc 55 recommended them to us, saying they have the best Chinese delivery close. They included some free pork buns(they were cold) and some sesame fried desert(also cold), but all our containers were slightly wet from the rain. Even our fortune cookies were rained on and soggy. DEFINITELY wouldn’t recommend it.

Consistent, reasonably priced and good. Always have lunch special– served with soup, steamed rice and something… Today was chicken basil– one day I’ll crack the code on this menu. Also had pot stickers which are very good. This place is just great deal for lunch.

By no means top of the line Chinese food, but this is my go-to American-Chinese delivery place. Love that they include free pork buns and sesame balls with your order :) They’re also really reliable and come within the time estimate they quote. I’ve ordered from Red Jade on multiple occasions: Crab rangoons: they were a little soggy by the time we ate it but it tasted good. Mm fried cream cheese Sweet and sour chicken: satisfied unhealthy cravings for this. I also got the pork version and both were equally good. Comes with pineapple chunks and peppers! General Tso’s Chicken: i don’t recommend this. For some reason, the way they put way too much breading and there’s not enough meat. The sauce is just okay Szechuan /spicy eggplant: oily, but good for delivery Mapo tofu: Was a weird brown sauce instead of what I imagine with red chili.

Red Jade serves first-rate Mandarin and Cantonese style Chinese food. The service is quick and the price is right. We are fans of the Wor Wonton soup, the hot and sour soup, the hot spicy green beans and pork, the hunan fish, salmon and asparagus in black bean sauce, and many others. You really can’t go wrong here.

What efficient, cheerful people! What terrific food! You cannot go wrong. We wandered in here a year ago not knowing what to expect and the in-dining experience was so good, we decided we would try the delivery service and it is perfect, too. Order their braised tofu with bok choy(#75 on the menu) – it is a masterpiece and belongs on one of those cooking/chef TV shows. I order from these hard-working folks often and they remember me always and they know how much I love their tofu dish. A nice alternative if you don’t know what to order is their appetizer plate. Very crisp, fresh, savory and includes all the«tastes» until you decide what you want to order. Delivery to your home is fast, honest and everything is hot and ready to eat – always– and the delivery guys are adorable. DONOTMISSTHISGEM of a restaurant.

On a whim while strolling I decided to try Red Jade for takeout. The vibe is warm and friendly the place is very clean, too. The counterstaff is nice. The food. OMG. Lobster shrimp, curry chicken and brown rice! I will be ordering their take out and when in the neighborhood would eat in. Nice to see a Chinese resturant that understands customer service since there is an embarassment of riches in San Francisco good food isn’t enough.

The staff all know me now which is nice. Potstickers are amazing as well! Super crispy n delicious:). Lunch goes till 5pm –I love that! The egg flower soup is off the chain! All around my fav. I always order delivery from this place so can’t speak in regards to the dine-in experience, but the takeout experience is generally and consistently fantastic! Their phone number is memorized in my phone that’s how often I call this place. I also can recite my order off the top of my head: chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, potstickers, lemon chicken and sesame chicken. The delivery is always prompt, and the food is always warm. They also always include free sticky buns and fortune cookies which I love. No need to look elsewhere for chinese delivery!

Always have been coming here for lunch. I did t bothering reading the rest of the reviews and I’ve been coming here for years and the quality has always been consistent and the prices are very good. I recommend coming in for lunch which is from 11 to 5. My favorite is the lemon chicken but others may not like the sweet and tartness. Overall a great place in the area.

Ughhhh I have found my new favorite Chinese takeout place. –lemon chicken –beef chow fun –FREEPORKBUNS&SESAMEBALLS?!? We used their online ordering system and it was delivered within in 45min. The Chinese Broccoli with ginger sauce was a bit intense with ginger flavor-I liked it but my boyfriend wasn’t into it. Hands down-my new go-to for takeout. It helps that everyone I know loves this place as well

I don’t normally review but I’m going out of my way on this one. I ordered the sweet and sour pork and wonton soup. The soup broth was good but for both dishes the meet was terrible and whatever was covering them was super floury and gross. This was at 9pm on a Friday so I would have thought everything was pretty fresh and decent. It’s not often I get bad Chinese food so this was surprising.

Dear Red Jade(A love letter), Hey there Red Jade… You were an unassuming Chinese restaurant conveniently located two blocks from my boyfriend’s apartment. I was a hungry lady desperate for some Seamless oriented delivery foods. You never failed me in the last 2 years of service. You were there for us, time and again. When we first ordered your potstickers it was a revelation and is the #1 thing I require of every order. It wasn’t like your food was mindblowing, but it has always been fucking solid good Chinese food… that is… until last Friday night. MIND. FUCKING. BLOWN. It was the best Red Jade order/delivery ever. It was the best Chinese food of my life. To put things in perspective — I have always lived in the Bay Area. I am a Berkeley native and I know good Chinese food of all levels of quality. This was the best Chinese food of my life(so far!) We ordered potstickers(of course), sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice, and princess prawns. As always, it came with 2 complimentary pork buns, sesame balls and fortune cookies. We ate everything together in a big bowl. We could not shut up at eachother about how it was the best order we had placed and everything was done to perfection. (It probably helps we live 2 blocks away!) I don’t think we’ll stray from this order for a long time, and I’m going to be thinking Red Jade every time the BF asks me what to order for delivery… for at least a while. Forever yours, Jane

I remember the days when I ordered from Red Jade and the quality was good. Last couple of take-out orders have been crap. No, literally. Absolute, over fried(ie. burned) crap. Chow mein was mangy; double checked that I wanted to this word to describe it. Sauce was burned and thick. My mini corn cobs looked like innocent victims from the BP oil spill. I watched my 3 year old take a bit of cabbage and grimace. Also ordered what they call sesame chicken, but I call fried chicken strips thrown into a takeout container pre-filled with random sauce that was laying close to the fry vat. My basil chicken was similar to the chow mein. Lots of mushrooms, bits of chicken & fried strands of basil. Bye bye Red Jade… Bye bye.
