I’ve used Wonderland’s delivery three times and so far I like it for the most part. Below’ is my first experience with Womderland’s food and their delivery system * Food is ok to very good. Kung Pao meatless chicken was good — lots of veg and the meatless chicken was tasty and not battered or deep fried. I would def. order this item again The 2nd dish was Eggplant with shrimp and scallops. This was good too and I would order it again. I ordered the egg roll with Avocado wh/was interestingly good but a bit on greasy * Delivery was quick.

Excellent Chinese food! Yes, their General Tso’s is the bomb. However, for my taste, the glaze is sweet and I tend to like spicy or salty dishes more. 4-Stars because they got an order wrong. My housemate ordered shrimp and meatless chicken with eggplant. We didn’t get any shrimp. A guy named Ray said he’ll give us a credit for future order, so I guess that’s a plus. Overall, it’s been pretty good so far and will definitely be a regular.

Wonderland is a wonderful Chinese restaurant situated on Fillmore & Haight. It is casual, consistent and has generous portions. What more could you ask for in a Chinese restaurant? Oh, and the food is not greasy. Try: Beef and broccoli Kung Pao Tofu(spicy) I started to frequent Wonderland when I lived in the Lower Haight and it has remained my go-to restaurant for Chinese even after my move to Cole Valley.

Was so delighted to find out that Wonderland was open for Christmas dinner! Went with a friend and brightened up what was(until that point) a very forgettable day. The portions here are very generous and two dishes(with rice side dishes) was more than enough for two hungry men in their 20s! The service was a bit slow but very friendly and professional, and overall it was a great dining experience. The food speaks for itself, and it’s a great value. Can’t wait to go back soon!

This place is really great-quality, clean«American» Chinese food. Great service, and nice décor(not your lil hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout joint). Would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes! We also saw a bunch of other tables with pitchers of beer — which is awesome — gotta come back for that too! ** The wonton soup is very unconventional. Very unauthentic, but really tasty! It comes with some saucy sautéed pieces of meat(I think both chicken and beef) on top of the soup and wontons. Really satisfying on a cold, gloomy day in SF. ** Dry-braised chicken wings… YUM! The wings are perfectly fried, with a spicy chili garlicky soy sauce glaze that is so finger-lickin’ good! Kind of reminds me of the wings at So in SoMa, and just as good! ** Spicy Fried Rice — We had it with beef, and it was DEVOURED. ** Double Mushroom with Triple Delight… That’s scallop, shrimp, and squid. Seafood was pretty fresh, and the mushrooms were good, but all-in-all the dish was a little bland. Not as good as everything else. Definitely will be back!

This place is great! Came in for the lunch special, ordered two dishes since I couldn’t decide, only about $ 16 for food, two helpings of rice, and soup. Tons of leftovers. I liked that I could get both prawns and chicken in the same dish so I didn’t have to pick. Taste was great, sauce heavy and a bit on the sweet side, but that’s typical. Green beans were great, crunchy and cooked just right. Restaurant was clean, well-lit with big windows, white tablecloths, nice wall art. Bathroom clean as well. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Fast and friendly service. I had the general Tso’s chicken and loved it. The prices are pretty reasonable too.

Ok, so now I’m sick at work on a cold day, I’ll order from wonderland since they aren’t that bad but I hate their delivery driver(Jimmy), and just to prove a point I pulled out the exact change only for him to complain no tip with his hand out staring at me like he had a problem. Now for the one star, I usually don’t have a problem with them but today there was hella hair in my chicken and corn soup … I basically lost my appetite and threw my untouched spicy fried rice away … Please make ur staff wear hair nets which is the standard

Was craving some Chinese food while in San Francisco and found this place on Unilocal. The food is exceptional for the price. My favorite was the Hong Kong chow mein; the best I’ve had in a while. It was only $ 9.25 for a very generous portion. Lost a star because I also ordered a veg with prawn but instead got chicken. I didn’t mention it because I was so hungry and didn’t want to wait to fix the issue. Tasted good anyway. Service was attentive-ish. Good enough for me!

Vegetarian and carnivore heaven. These words don’t often go together. A large menu offered modern Chinese food, with good sized portions and crazy low prices. For less than a takeaway you get polite service and a chilled atmosphere. The restaurant is light’s and airy, with high ceilings and slightly faded décor. My enthusiasm is solid on their«meatless chicken» menu, with options including General Tsao, orange and sweet n sour. My meat eating friend had the same: hers with real chicken. The sauce was flavorful, and the lunch menu included free soup and salad. If I lived closer, this would be my go to Chinese.

Good Take-Out! Ordered on Doordash and it arrived before the scheduled time. I got the West Lake Beef Soup, Sesame Chicken, Pork Chow Fun and Steamed Broccoli with Prawns. I liked the first three a lot. Fortune Cookies were on point. Fresh and crunchy!

So bummed to say that Wonderland has lost us as a dedicated(at least weekly) home delivery customer. Last night we ordered via the website at 7:02pm — we live within 3 blocks of the restaurant. The Site said our order would arrive by 8pm. They always beat their delivery window estimate. But, at 8:10 we started calling to see what was up. So irritating that they took their phone off the hook, and decided it was better to not tell their customers they had gotten behind. By 8:30pm(not being able to reach them) we bailed, and decided to make dinner. At 8:45 — nearly 2 hours after ordering, the delivery person rang the bell. He then called my phone, then rang the bell, then the phone, then rang the bell 20 times!!!(We figured they would understand the practice of not responding). If only they had answered the phone, and told us to hang tight. Better yet, they apparently had my number so how about a quick call to tell me they had gotten behind. It would have been fine. For all we knew, they had gone out of business or something. Sucks that they decided to treat valuable customers in the way they did. Bye WL.

Husband and I only came here because we were in the area mid day, and nothing else was open nearby. Also, he has a fascination with why mainstream Americans have a thing for General Tso’s chicken as we recently watched a documentary on the origins of this infamous general. Needless to say, he ordered it, and I ordered the salmon with asparagus off the lunch menu. This is definitely nothing to write home about, however it is cheap and a slight step above Panda Express.

We bring everyone that comes to visit us in SF from here for multiple reasons… 1) Food is always delicious 2) Food is always brought out fast 3) last but not least service is Awesome! Ok fine the real reason we always come here is because of his Ray Lei! Always makes us feel like he’s serving his own family! He goes above and beyond to provide awesome service and great service goes a long way these days… We will be back again and again and again!

Five stars is a rarity for me but this is by far the best damn Chinese food I have ever had. Friday night, not crowded. Pitchers of beer for $ 10.(wow!) Start with the steamed dumplings. They aren’t frozen, they’re more like dimsum that potstickers. Really doughy and delicious. Onion pancake was also delish. For meals, chicken with mixed vegetables was my favorite: fresh bokchoy, asparagus, broccoli, carrots. Also the moo shu pork was excellent. Massive portions, while we ate it all, one meal is enough for two the split. Service was good. The place is also reasonably priced. I might move to the lower haight just to have this place on my delivery radar.

I have had Wonderland twice now which seems to be typical of other Unilocalers reviewing this restaurant. I’d give it 2.5 stars overall-3 for when I ordered delivery and 2 for when I ate at the restaurant(average of 2.5). Delivery Experience: 3 stars –I ordered a meatless dish but can’t remember what it is. I’m not able to view their menu online without starting the ordering process which is a bummer. –I do remember the dish was decent and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was made to be imitation meat. It wasn’t the best Chinese food I’ve had but it was fine. –Delivery was quick and ordering online was easy. Restaurant Experience: 2 stars –My boyfriend and I were seated immediately as there was only one other person eating in the restaurant. –We ordered the Crab Rangoons, Chow Fun with Chicken, and the Kung Pao Chicken. The Crab Rangoons were 90% cream cheese and 10% crab-still good but better described as «cream cheese rangoons.» My boyfriend said the Kung Pao was really good and tasted fresh but I was very disappointed in the Chow Fun. There was a sparse sprinkling of bean sprouts and green onions and it was pretty bland. Not terrible but not memorable. –Service was really odd. Our waitress didn’t seem to understand what we were saying and when trying to order. When we were signing the check she came over, realized we weren’t done, and then speed-walked away super fast. It was a bit bizarre. I’d say Wonderland is about average when I think of Chinese food places. If you’re craving Chinese, this will hit the spot but I’m hesitant to say it will leave a lasting impression.

Five stars for quality and quantity. I can honestly say that I have never received such a large portion of quality Chinese for the prices here. AT and I placed one takeout order of General Tsao’s chicken because we weren’t too hungry. We were surprised to see that one order was as big as what we would have expected for two orders. Score – free leftover meal. Note that the dishes do not come with rice, so make sure to order some on the side. They also stuff the rice carton to the brim. I will definitely be back. I’ve found my go-to Chinese in the Haight area!
