Hole in the wall sandwich shop serving a delicious Half Hot Pastrami Sandwich out the door for $ 4.88(or any half sandwich) that was piled sky high with meat! Great taste to the meat with nice warm mayo served to compliment the favors! Will definitely be back when doing laundry next door again.

Awesome pastrami sandwich! This is the best one I have yet to have in San Francisco as it has a generous heaping of pastrami and at a very good price compared to most sandwich shop! Would highly recommend coming here if you like sandwiches filled with flavor!

A local spot that I enjoy. Walkable distance from my house so that’s a bonus. I always get the AK Decadence and customize to my liking. Prices have gone up since the last time I visited but I posted a picture for future reference. Any veggie add ons are 55 cents. Not bad. 3 sandwiches came out to about $ 24. My bf is really picky and loved the sandwich. So we’ll definitely be back for more! Pro tip: Parking in this area is a dread. But look in the residential areas and walk a little to avoid meter fares!

My friend spoke highly about this place for making sandwiches since he was born and raised in the Richmond district. I’m a big sandwich fan, and my favorite in the city is either Roxie’s near the Balboa park station or the somewhat new on Taraval called Grubbin. Anyways, when I first stepped in here, the place doesn’t look that clean. Looks like a dirty butcher shop. And the employee, who I think is Korean(not that it matters whatever ethnicity she was) helping me wasn’t nice nor rude, but let’s just say she didn’t seem friendly. I decide to try the AK Pastrami and thought it was just OK. The pastrami was good, but all I had with it was bread, mayo and mustard. The menu said swiss chess comes with the AK Pastrami, but I never got my cheese? In addition, on my way out I was looking at hmmm maybe I wanna buy a steak for later, but noticed one of the steaks looked purple, and that’s not a good sign. So yeah, I won’t be coming back. I rather go to Lou’s sandwiches on Geary near Park Presidio.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and the sandwiches were incredible! A must stop if you are in the neighborhood!

This place is yummy! I had the decadence hot and my boyfriend had the hot pastrami. Both delicious. The place doesn’t have a lot of curb appeal, but don’t let that dissuade you from going in. They have a giant meat and fish case and then a small area where they make the sandwiches. The women working there were very friendly and they have tables inside and out. I would definitely come back.

The BEST hot Pastrami sandwich in The City! They use the same pastrami as Tommy’s Joynt but the roll and fixings make it off the chart. The lady behind the counter, Amy is as sweet as they come. Like spending my money on such a great neighborhood find.

The meatball sandwich was cold and mediocre I almost worried that I would get ill from this poorly prepared meat. It was a marvel they had a 100 as their food inspection score.

The sweetest and nicest lady runs this place. I always go here to buy meats and seafood when I need to cook something and don’t want to make a run to a supermarket. They carry quality organic meats and seafood. I usually buy a whole chicken and she’ll cut it up for me and take out all the fat. The cost usually comes out to around $ 20 for a whole chicken, nicely cut and ready to cook. I’ve also purchased their breakfast sausages and they are delicious! Overall, the prices are more expensive than at a supermarket but this is expected and so worth the price!

I used to come here almost every Thursday with my mom, uncle and grandpa to get the best hot pastrami sandwich ever made. Amy likes to pile on the pastrami so it’s definitely worth going there. Service is very good! We love it there. We would come back once in awhile and Amy welcomes us like we’re family! Try their sandwiches! So good!

I came here off a recommendation from a friend. Went with my girlfriend and ordered the AK’s Decadence, and AK’s Hot Pastrami. I was not disappointed. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in the Richmond District. I’ll be coming here again. Also the people working here are awesome. I haven’t tried buying deli meat from here yet but I will be.

Woof. What happened to this place? Went in for the 1st time in 5 years and it’s gone wayyyy downhill. The quality of sando is eh… Meat is salty, bread is blah. Also the fruit salad was $ 5 and looked like canned fruit. Did they change ownership? Huge disappointment.

I come here for the hot pastrami sandwiches. Never bought any meat from them. The service is very friendly. If you come at a busy time. Parking is hard to find.

You’re not likely to find any bargains in AK Meats, but the quality is par none. Glistening cuts of wild salmon, organic chicken and grass fed beef grace the display case. They also make good sandwiches — large enough to share with a friend. Service is always quick and friendly. Glad to have AK in the neighborhood.

A great place on the streets of Clement. My cousins and I were in the area getting boba and since we were hungry again, we decided to come here to get a sandwich. If you’re driving/walking keep an eye out, it is easy to miss. It is a small little shop. They sell fishes and meats here also, kept in a clean and very organized way. Way better than other places I’ve seen. To order sandwiches, it is in the back. She got the AK’s Decadence and I got the AK’s Treat. She really enjoyed hers and I thought mine was good. $ 5.89 is a little steep for what I got but I think it is worth the money. Service here was extremely friendly. The owner is friendly. Smiles, warm welcome even though my cousin took a while to decide. Their sandwich definitely satisfies. If you’re looking for a sandwich nearby, this is the place.

Got to try the Rola’s Roman, Tuna Melt, and the Pastrami. Let me just say it’s awesome that they serve everything fresh and natural but what I really want to say is WOW. The salami in the Roman was super tastey but then I tried the pastrami one and it was HEAVENNN Definitely recommend that pastrami sandwich if you go. The other ones are good too!

I had just finished grueling two hour hike sporting an 80-lbs ruck sack. I Unilocaled local deli’s for a quick bite and found AK. A hole in the wall spot, I first saw the meats and thought I was mistaken, but the lady assured they have sandwiches. I got the decadence, the sprouts add a nice fresh, crispness to the sub. The cheese had melted into the sub rather than just sliced on top. The thing that rated an overall 3 stars was that three people got there after me and it was obvious that they knew the lady and she took care of them before me. I understand taking care of locals and maintaining rapport, but I waited 15 min for one sandwich.

Came here after a scenic walk through the Sutro Baths and Lands End Lookout. Wanted a sandwich and Unilocal guided us here. This place is both a deli and a counter for both fresh meats and seafood. The cuts of meat look great but I kept wondering while I was sitting there where they actually get the meats and how much of a markup they are putting on their meats after getting it in bulk. Ok, that was just me thinking out loud. Anyways, they don’t have Dutch Crunch roll(which is fine) but do have some speciality sandwiches that looks promising. We got the hot pastrami sandwich and while it was tasty and juicy, there just wasn’t enough meat. Like really? It’s a sandwich, pile it on a little! Make me feel like I’m getting my $ 8 worth! Sheesh! Don’t be all skimpy on it! Needless to say, for $ 20, one sandwich, one fruit salad, and 2 bottled tea, I think the numbers was just not adding up right for me. I want to like it more cuz it’s tasty, but wallet says otherwise.

A natural meat butcher shop with affordable, very fresh tasting sandwiches, including one of the best pastrami sandwiches in town. You can build your own sandwich or choose a specialty sandwich(e.g., meatball, pizza). The meat counter has sausages, fish, organic meat, etc. * Tony’s hot pastrami sandwich($ 6.39): a lovely, simple sandwich made with quality ingredients, including a good seeded roll, toasted and chewy, a ton of thinly sliced, juicy, smoky, tender pastrami meat, mayo, mustard, and melted cheese. It’s mostly delicious pastrami but the roll holds everything together. Mmm.
