The staff is super nice and I love the atmosphere! Great people and great food. They cater events as well! I always get the fog baby when I go.

This review is a bit late, but My be and I were looking for a place to eat breakfast since it was pretty late(around 2:30pm) we figured everything would be closed. We wanted to try cassava but it was closed. So we decided to cross the street and try this place out. When we got there we were greeted and given a menu. We ordered latte and a meal. A little over priced $ 34. We got our drinks first, they were too hot to drink. We waited a while and on the food and when we received it both me and my bf looked up at eachother, the meals didn’t look so good. We were starving and went ahead and ate it anyways, both my bf and I agreed we could have had something way better for that price and won’t be going back anytime soon. The good thing about this place is the customer service. And the latte was pretty good too!

Solidly fine. People are nice, food was totally ok. I had waffle, eggs, bacon. Coffee was not that great as others have commented, and the place just needs some deep cleaning. The water container had grime on it, maple syrup container had build up –stuff like that. It’s great if you want nothing fancy, and a cozy place to chill.

Their service was very nice and accommodating. The food was ok. Their fog baby sandwich was good, their Cobb salad was a little pricey for how little the amount of stuff they put in it. I’m not wowed, but I’m pleased by their service.

Good food but seems a bit overpriced. Their drip coffee did not taste good, but my mocha was yummy. We had two breakfast croissants, they were big and tasty. Not sure I’ll be back.

These guys are awesome! I was from out of town and on a strict training diet that no other restaurant around would accommodate. I came in and told the lady at the front my situation and she very graciously designed a plate that would fit my diet and on top of that only charged me $ 8.50! The most friendliest place I’ve visited in San Fran!

Went here because of the good reviews! I tried the windmill sandwich witch was fine, won’t say my mind was blown away, but it was good! Their coffee is really great! Service was fast, prices were reasonable.

I love what the new owners have done with this spot! They are so friendly and they serve breakfast all day. I’m so glad they are in the neighborhood. We have needed some good eats to move in for awhile now. And the way they have decorated is very cute. Check them out!

So I wanted a bagel and coffee. This place takes credit cards. That’s actually the only thing going for this place. I ordered a cream cheese bagel and it was given to me basically un-toasted, cold, and literally smothered in cream cheese(like enough for two or even three bagels). Fine, I can deal with this(scraping off excess cream cheese is no big deal). I also ordered iced coffee. The gentleman filled my cup maybe ¼ full of ice, then poured hot coffee over it and handed it to me. It was literally still so hot that the ice was already melted. I asked for more ice and he looked at me and said, «More? There’s no room in the cup…» So he dumped some coffee out, put in another fie or six cubes, and turned away from me like he was done with me. It was literally the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Even still piping hot it was watered down and flavorless. I will not be coming back here.

I decided to go back in a couple of times and their service has gotten way better the last three times I have gone. Their coffee and sandwiches are still amazing especially the windmill and balboa.

Best lattes in the neighborhood. Smooth, no bitterness, and made with freshly roasted/freshly ground beans. Good stuff. They really do make an exceptional latte here.

Great food and great service. This is a small café with delicious food. My favorite so far is the croissant breakfast sandwich with eggs bacon and cheese on it. This sandwich is huge and filling. I also love the coffee here. The café gets quite warm on the inside due to the small size so when I eat in I prefer getting an Ice Mocha! Refreshing and good.

Nice easy stop for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich in the outer Richmond neighborhood. Flaky croissants and a lot of scrambled eggs kept us full for a long day of walking.

Service was exceptional! Fog Baby Sandwich, amazing! Chicken Apple sausage also was super good! Staff was really friendly and have great recommendations. Definitely a niche restaurant with good home cooked food. A must try if your near Golden Gate Park and want some breakfast or lunch! Thanks guys!

Owners are very friendly, however service is a bit slow. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and it was very good! Flaky and toasted perfectly, filled with all the right fixings. The Benedict however was sub par. I think they need to work on their hollandaise sauce. It was semi watery and not thick and creamy which I prefer. It’s understandable as they have a limited cooking area.

The coffee is the best I’ve had beyond Philz. It’s just really fantastic, hearty coffee. Walk half a mile some mornings just to get it. They have limited menu options for food but I’ve had the eggs benedict and waffles, and both were tasty, though maybe a little overpriced. Staff is always super friendly and attentive. Always a group of locals sitting on the couches shooting the $%$# and I love that. Definitely a gem of the Outer Richmond

We came here while playing tourist with a visiting friend because we were in need of a coffee fix along with some lunch. My bf and friend ordered a couple sandwiches along with a coffee and iced coffee. When my friend inquired as to what was in their chicken salad sandwich, they offered to tailor it to her needs — they could substitute things since they make it fresh to order! Great service! We took a seat by the window and the food and coffees were delivered to us. It seems like the owners were running the place and they are adorable! So sweet and welcoming! Thanks again!

Fog Baby, Fog Baby Give me some food Give me somethin’ that I can remember Just like before we could just gorge On some eggs in the sunlight… There is kind of a hippy-dippy vibe to this small café that lies along the small Balboa commercial strip way out in the outer Richmond. It sits across the street from the popular Japanese-influenced eatery Cassava, but it might as well be in Timbuktu for its lack of similarity in approach. Their menu is small and all handwritten on a chalkboard just after you enter. There were just four selections for breakfast, and I decided to go for the full monty and order the $ 11.25 Eggs Benedict. All the tables were taken by young families with strollers blocking the aisles, so I squeezed myself over to the darkish side counter to wait for my order. When it arrived, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with the results. The eggs were runnier than I like them, and I wished in hindsight that they asked me how I like them. The Canadian bacon tasted like it was on the grill a bit too long as they were on the dry side, and the English muffin was barely there underneath. The hollandaise sauce was quite good though since it wasn’t intolerably thick, but my culinary optimism was dashed when I tasted the country potatoes which were awfully mushy and overly seasoned as if to make up for the texture(photo: ). I ate it in solitude at the counter with only a mug of their coffee to keep me company(photo: ). That was good joe and so were the cheerful staff. Guess it was just kind of a miss for me… Fog Baby, Fog Baby There on Balboa From now to the end of forever Cassava is fun… And we’d go in a heartbeat. (…remember this song? ) FOOD — 3 stars… disappointing Benedict where the parts were not greater than the whole AMBIANCE — 3 stars… comfortable set-up thought that side counter was a lonely, dark space SERVICE — 3.5 stars… friendly and like casual, man TOTAL — 3 stars… casual Cassava alternative doesn’t quite compete but you could stick around for the coffee
