This place is great ! their coconut chicken soup is fantastic and love their chicken Pad Tai and their Panang Curry shrimp or chicken is fantastic! Heads up!!! They will ask you how spicy from 1 – 10. We usually order a «1». We have ordered a 2 and 3 once and it burned our mouth off! Can’t imagine what a 10 is! and we can tolerate spice, so beware. I would order a «1» if it is your first time ordering from here, even the«1» has heat so if you do not like spice or can not tolerate spice at all order a 0. Food is great ! My only negative about this place is they really need to dust the glass shelves with the Buddha’s on it. Seriously! It must have been years since those glass shelves have been dusted!!! Not appealing to look at as you wait for your food. We usually order to go, and do pick up BUT the good news is they also deliver and are usually very prompt which is why we like to order from them. They have never gotten our order wrong and we have ordered from this place for over 5 years.

My friend had told me about this place, but I don’t think I ever really considered it to be a great restaurant since it is located in a strip mall. I was surprised at how great the food tasted. Since it fed a family of four for under $ 35, I was really impressed. We had started with a hot pot of coconut soup with chicken and ordered two curries: Yellow curry and pineapple curry. Everything was delicious and served hot. They ask you for a spicy level of 1 – 10, and since I had kids with me we went with a lower number of 3. My only complaint was they had the TV on for football and we are not really interested in sports. We asked them to turn it off, but the best we got was for them to turn down the volume a little. The food more than makes up for this so… maybe get it to go if you don’t want a TV on during dinner.

The pad thai here is fantastic! Full of flavor, not dry but also not overly saucey. Spicy level 5 had just enough kick but I think I could’ve gone for a 6 or 7. I haven’t tried anything else here but I’ll definitely be back to try their curry. My only complaint is that I think their price points are a little high($ 10 for pad thai) but I’m happy to pay a couple more dollars to get quality food.

Ordered the Pad Thai noodles with combination of chicken, beef, and shrimp. It was delicious, fresh, and a great serving size. It is easily 2 – 3 meals worth unless you hit the Cannabis club prior to eating. Also ordered their crispy egg rolls which were incredible. Now granted it’s hard to mess up anything friend but they were extremely good. The main reason I’ve giving these guys 4 stars is for pricing. The total was $ 23 for pickup for 1 main dish and 1 appetizer.

Great Thai food, great prices, but the owner that takes orders isn’t very friendly. At all! We usually order take out and the quality is good. Just wish they were a little nicer.

Tweety is my favorite Thai restaurant in PB. I particularly enjoyed their Som Tom(green papaya salad) and Panang. But everything is really good. Some Thai restaurants always seem to have a few landmines on their menu, but so far I have not found anything at Tweety thats disappointed me. They are located in the Vons shopping center, so the ONLY complaint I have is that you’re sitting in the strip mall and not staring at the ocean. But the food is so good that you can just drive the 1 mile down to the beach after. :-)

The guy that runs this place is incredible. Hadn’t seen him in months and he remembers my name. Used to order here all the time when I lived in PB. Good food, decent prices and as mentioned above the people here are great. Need food quick, but good? Go here

Decided to try Tweety Thai because I needed to stop into Vons and it was more convenient than driving all the way to Lanna on Mission Bay drive. I ordered the yellow curry and cream cheese crab rangoons. The rangoons were awesome! They were filled with cream cheese and super tasty. The curry itself was good. I don’t know what it was but something was missing. It definitely satisfied my Thai craving but it wasn’t quite as good as usually. It was a little thicker and had a smell that was just a little off. I know curry is smelly but this one was smellier than most. It was almost a little off putting. I’d definitely still stick to Lanna but for the convenience it was worth it.

Best Thai place around, hands down. I lived in Thailand and you bet I know my Thai food. I feel like every place I’ve tried around is very generic tasting. Tweety Thai is a little more authentic and has more flavor. Everything I have tried(which is a lot) has been so good. I order from here or come here a lot. Delivery has no charge and they are always so quick. Their crab rangoons are delicious! I also would definitely recommend their curries.

Tweet Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant. We eat here at least 2 times a week. The owners and staff always come through for us and go the extra mile in customer service. The cashew chicken and orange chicken is our go to! Make sure you tell them Steve sent you(they all know me) and to give you the Steve special you won’t be disappointed. I’ve been eating here for years now #pblife

Try the Tweety’s Special Platter — it’s my absolute favorite /a nice assortment of all the delicious appetizers, including crispy rolls, shrimp rolls, chicken satay, etc, with like 4 different sauces for dipping. I am always more than satisfied every time I have this. The owner here, Charlie, can be taken for rude if you don’t know him, since he has no personality. But once you get to know him, you find he is an alright dude. I agree with another reviewer — this is probably the best Thai in PB, or at least up there. Not the best in San Diego. The place does not have a great atmosphere for eating in, but good for takeout.

I don’t understand why people like this place. It’s not worth the money. First of all, do not rely on the prices in the review pictures because those are outdated. The average dish price is actually a few bucks more now, and they also charge an extra $ 2 for beef. For each noodle entrée, we ended up paying about $ 17 bucks including tip. For a quick and casual Thai place, this restaurant is definitely more expensive than average. I wouldn’t mind paying more if it was worth the premium. This was actually the WORST Thai food I’ve ever had. The portions were surprisingly tiny for how much they charge, and the food tastes really artificial. The sauces they use for the noodles taste like they’re made instant from a powder or a packet, and they don’t use a whole lot of vegetables or meat either. Just goopy bland sauce and noodles. I really wanted to like this place because I live right down the street. Really disappointed in the lack of food quality and unfortunately will not be returning.

very under the radar thai place, not just in terms of the food but the location. we are on a pad prik khing kick and we are searching for the best in SD. theirs is one of the best flavor wise but still a little to saucy for us, and next time no carrots. the pud see ew was good nice mix of savory(soy) and little sweetness but still looking for that charred wok noodle flavor like thai town LA.

Food is amazing and the owner is sooooo nice. I really like the way the way everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are happy and the food is amazing. I always order the TomKah soup and Red Curry because it actually tastes like authentic Thai food. 2 thumbs up :)

this place is hands down the best thai place nearby AND they deliver(for an upcharge… but it’s the price you pay for being LAZY). i always order the spicy basil with tofu with brown rice and my hubby orders the spicy basil with crispy chicken. we order our dishes with little oil and it definitely cuts down the grease level. SOGOOD! we also order the crispy rolls(so crispy), fresh spring rolls(huge portion) or tom yum soup(crisp broth) also pretty regularly. very good. i haven’t really had anything on their menu that’s bad. i only ordered drunken noodle bc i prefer spicy to sweet and that was de-lish as well. only thing their spice level seems a bit inconsistent just fyi. i love this place even though the dine-in experience could be better since they could REALLY use new booth seats… the owner rarely smiles but don’t be fooled. he is so kind and remembers my order whenever i call. i cannot give it any fewer stars bc i’ve ordered from here(mostly takeout or delivery) for almost 5 years and haven’t had one bad experience yet.

Who the flip likes this soup lol. This is not traditional Thai soup imho. It’s bastardized American tainted Campbell’s knockoff. I’m sorry because these people are really nice but this soup is terrible!!! My Tom kha was so watery is has to be less than half coconut. Is was so bland I have NEVER had soup this bad. My friend had the Tom Yum. WORSE! Tasted like Campbell’s beef barley with a hint — HINT of lemongrass. Just gross. Terrible and gross. Really nice guy — but omg this is on my NEVERRETURNLIST. Sorry tweety! I wanted to like you!

Came here due to our go-to thai place being closed on Tuesdays but we were craving. We walked in and there was no one else around, but noted a few ppl picking up for takeout. Don’t let this deceive you, I think the low numbers of customers is due to location. We got Tom kah coconut soup, crispy spring rolls and panang curry. Souo was delicious, spring rolls were decent and the curry was solid. Service was good and quick. Not sure why a couple of the bad reviews note run down or shabby. Felt like a typical thai place to me. Good option close to home and Vons.

I’ve never actually eaten at Tweety Thai… I’ve either ordered for pick up or delivery so I can’t say much about the dine-in experience. This is my go-to place(er, I guess my «phone-to» place #laziness) for Thai food. I haven’t had a dish here that I didn’t like. I’m giving this place four stars because they charge a delivery fee(even though we practically live down the street). Overall their food is delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. I highly recommend their fresh spring rolls(either with tofu or shrimp) and their yellow curry.
