Originally written on March 12th Pacifica Salon where do I start? Went into Pacifica Salon two days ago with my boyfriend and my grandmother, I’m sorry 3 days ago At first glance this place gives you the impression you’re going to come out of there looking like a million bucks. Its has a neat, eco open-style about it. The stylist there seemed really passionate and knowledgeable about what they did and the product they used, something that would get Tabitha’s stamp of approval… I give the stylist one star because she did know how to cut hair well and she did clean up the dead stuff quite a bit BUT I came in for color correction! Kind of against my wishes because I was perfectly happy with my hair before only problem was that my hair was a very bright a beautiful teal and I am trying to get another job so… it had to go. In the end I wound up leaving with my hair more dead than it was before and a very uneven patchy color. I also left feeling kind of confused, feeling a little emotionally battered and inferior. Something a client should never experience when your job as a stylist is to create what your client envision and leave them feeling beautiful and confident. I’ll get to explaing that later. But anyways my hairs totally fried and is obviously not going to hold in any color for a while until all breaks off, gets cut, or grows out due to it not being porous. It was horrifying. I am very upset with the color and my experience with Christie, she blamed me the client for the trouble she was having while trying to color my hair not only that she also tried to force her religious views on me and flat out called me a liar when the topic of product I used to wash my hair came up. I told her the brand of the demi permanent dye I used and that I had just done my hair recently like a week before. It was actually unwise of her to go ahead and still do my hair when she knw it was just done. If she was professional instead of greedy she would of told me to wait a while and come back and get it done later. However I am sastified with the cut even though it looks exactly the same only just shorter. I wanted something new and fresh but that wasn’t delivered. Especially since my grandmother took me in and paid her $ 180 to do this crap job. Don’t forget the $ 50 she left you too Christie!!! All three of us are practically blind and unfortunately we didn’t have our eyeball utensils in at the time. Word of advice: Never go to a salon without your glasses, if you have a cataracts, or one cloudy contact in. You will leave that place looking like a fool the next time you take a shower and your wallet empty. Highway robbery man. Straight up highway robbery. My grandmother is the one with the cataracts so no matter what she sees as long as its a normal color its always going to look good to her. Shame on you for charging her that much for what you did! And its funny she charged her that much since she told us earlier in the week upon giving us her card she was doing hair for really cheap and really good prices. We were originally approached by this woman in the same plaza while we were out to lunch. I should of known better after asking her how much it would be to bleach and wasn’t given any sort real answer back. It appears that color is clearly not not her forté. Also I was sitting in the chair from 1 o’clock till after they closed at seven. Not a whole of fun. They tried skullcapping instead of bleaching out the teal color(with good intentions) but it was that one extra processing on my hair that wound up destroying my hair later because it didn’t work. The end results were very dismal. The teal color hadn’t move at all, if any. So they went over the skullcapping chemical with regular bleach without washing it out first. The end results were still uneven and awful. Was told the black came out completely. Looking at my hair in the mirror after a shower I call bull****. The black is clearly still there and every can see it. And I am very angry. I sat in a chair for 7 hours and came back with this jerry-rigged mess of a job. Now I know why she asked me later if I was ‘sure’ I used Pureology to wash my hair. Why wouldn’t i be sure? I didn’t know wheather to be offended over her questioning my answer, or to wonder why anyone would lie about what shampoo and conditioner they used? _____________________________________________________________ It’s August 22 of 2012 and my hair is still feeling the wrath of Christie. Haven’t touched it since I left her chair. One thing that’s never left my mind since getting my hair done here is when the topic of suicide came up and Christie went on to inform me that it’s tragic when in a person does, seeing as to that individual is surely going to hell. Who the f__k says that first of all? What if I was someone else, like a friend of mine and they had gone in here? THEYWOULDOF been seriously offended. Given the circumstances.

I went to Pacifica as a walk in and met Candice. She was extremely attentive and fun to chat with, she updated my highlights a little brighter than I was ready for, but I really like it. Her judgement was right on. The haircut is great, she didn’t cut it as short as I wanted because she was nervous it was too high, but had absolutely no problems spending another 15 minutes cutting it shorter for me. She did my layers just the way I like them. She told me that if I have any concerns about the color to come back anytime and she will take it down or add some lowlights. She is an excellent stylist and so sweet! I will be going back for sure. Candice made the traumatic experience of starting fresh with a new stylist so easy and fun, I recommend her.

Got a coupon for 50% off and based on reviews I went with Gianna. Ugh… big regret. I have long hair with layers and side part which I haven’t trimmed in 4 months or so and had a lot of split ends. All I wanted was a simple trim! For pete’s sake… how do you mess that up??? She cut layers in the back with what looked like a staircase. No blending was done. What upset me more is that she cut some funky-a** bangs… and I didin’t have bangs before nor did I ask for one! Seriously, which part of «I don’t have bangs» means«I want bangs» when she asked what length she should cut my bangs. I said to taper my hair by the side of my face like the original cut. She ended up creating«bangs» that were just 1-inch across(who has 1-inch bangs anyway?) and even then, she missed some longer strands. It was so bad that friends even made comments. I paid her and even tipped. I just didn’t want to make a big deal cuz she does seem like a nice girl. My bf asked why I didn’t I tell her? My response, why bother? It’s not like she’s going to be able to glue my hair back. I just have to suck it up for a few months as it grows out. Oh ya, yes I did fix the bags on my own and it looks a bit more decent now. Lesson learned — Don’t ever cheat of your regular stylist who’s work you like just because you’re being cheap.

I had a coupon for Pacifica Hair Studio and I decided to go check it out. It was cute and quaint and right by my house, so I was delighted. I am so glad b/c now Gianna has me as a client for life. I was a ‘walk in’ and I was paired up with Gianna. I liked her right away. We had an instant connection. She was outgoing and fun. She was so excited about my hair and what I wanted done. She knew the exact direction to take. We ended up using this GREAT new color line and she has been using that line ever since we tried it on my hair. She did a great job! She explained the process to me and she gave me suggestions and advice for next time. It was so much fun. I really enjoyed her service and I think she exudes passion for her work. She was professional and made me feel comfortable and look good. She took her time, but I was not in that chair forever, which is good b/c I get restless. The salon is clean and small, and perfect. I recommend this hair salon. I recommend Gianna and her spunky personality. I will be back, thanks!~

Come see Giana! She has done wonders for both my girlfriend and I. Very flexible with making her appointments and her prices are more than reasonable(I used to pay more for comparable cuts back in Ohio).
