Some of the worst sushi I’ve had in San Diego. Service was extremely slow. It took about 15 minutes to get the edamame and another 15 minutes to get a seaweed salad. And then we waited for the sushi… Sushi lacked that fresh taste. We tried the dynamite roll and it was swimming with the sauce. Too much. Overall, not a great experience.

It’s a small, clean, and adorable place to visit. Since it’s a small place, their servers provide more attention to the customers. Food wise, not sure if they are trying to get promotions going and cut down the food portion, but we had smalle-food-size experience. Most of the dishes we ordered were okay, one unforgettable dish was their hot stone bimbimbap. Hot sizzling dish with various ingredients, a must-try! They still have the promotions going on, there’s a 50%off on your second orders. Great deal!

Staff was very friendly. Food was great and light. We got the two lunch boxes I got the sesame chicken box it was good. The sushi was good and the salad was good. We paid less than $ 20 for everything. Wish I would have taken a picture before I ate it all. Delicious! We found this place on a whim and took a chance! :) enjoy!

Ginza is the very best sushi restaurant in San Diego… A small place with a big menu! Everything is super fresh and always a beautiful presentation. Jay, the owner and head chef, is a wonderful person, always smiling and someone who loves to serve scrumptious meals to his patrons. This is our very favorite restaurant!!!

Well what can I say the shrimp tempura was good. Everything else was not very good. We had a table of four and there was very little room and the waitress was very pushy. We were trying to clear the table just to have room to eat. My son did like he California rolls but everything else was not good.

I’m trying sooooooo hard to like this restaurant because it’s a great price and close to my house but unfortunately it’s not really delicious at all! Sushi meh, bento combo meh, even miso soup! I came for 3 times with my kids hoping I can«feel» the food but still meh. I just have to drive to the other sushi restaurant at 4 S Ranch. I agreed with other review…” cost good, taste bad”.

Came to eat Korean food for lunch. We had the bibimbap and tofu soup… just average. The little shop in the Zion market tastes better. But there are few Korean options here in this part of north county. This place is really really small… which I don’t mind since it reminds me of the little places in Seoul and Tokyo I’ve been to. But you have to go through the kitchen to find the bathroom… that’s a bit ridiculous. Service was good and we gave a decent tip. I might be back to try the sushi… we’ll see.

ehhh, it’s OK. No sushi bar but looks like they’re expanding. Pros: decent food, friendly service. Cons: ambiance, small, no restroom(Really?), seems more like place for items other than sushi(I know odd). If it was the only place open I’d go back. But lots of Sushi places close by I’d probably drive to first. Don’t recall the name, but on the same road by the freeway in a strip mall was really good.

One of our favorite places to eat at in north county SD! Unfortunately, we are moving out of the area, so we had to stop by for one last time. Take advantage of their buy 1 get 150% off deals! Food is always great! My gf and I always get a bento box(chicken katsu & teriyaki salmon) and end up leaving stuffed! Each bento box comes with a big scoop of rice, 2 gyoza, 4 pc of california roll, and your entrée. Our meal together usually comes out to about $ 15 – 16 with tax and tip included! Service is usually great and the servers are very polite! We will definitely miss this place and will come visit when we are in the area. Thanks for the 3 years of GREAT food, Ginza!

I really like this place! This restaurant is family owned and operated. There we only one server who served the entire restaurant(full capacity around 40pp). You could sense she felt a little overwhelmed but she did wonderful and great! The food was great however the value is just good. All day and every day they promote 1 at full price and 2 and 50% off. It’s a great deal as the portions are somewhat generous. I’m happy and excited that the restaurant is expanding next door and hope the completion will be done soon! Ginza!!!

DONTLETTHEFRIENDLYREVIEWSFOOLYOU. Horrible customer service and horrible food. The tofu kimchi soup was disgusting, tofu house is WAY better. And the sushi was so nasty. Never coming back here against, even if I was starving to death. So bad.

Came here for dinner with my mom and we both loved it! We were looking for a quick and cheap Japanese place in our area and found this one on Unilocal. Ordered the entrée bento special, so many options to choose from. Our salmon teriyaki was delicious and loved that we could choose brown rice. Buy 1, Get 150% off also made us happy. Great and friendly service and the place was packed(with people waiting) at 7pm on a Friday. No, it’s not gonna blow your mind, but is a nice little hole in the wall with tasty food and good prices.

Very cute little sushi place tucked into a corner. Amazing value for a lunch special but extremely small. Come in small parties. I got the Sushi lunch for $ 9 which comes with salad, Miso, 5 Nigiri cuts and a California roll. This restaurant is typical of Korean business owners who want to open an eatery then decide to market themselves as a Japanese restaurant for the popularity votes. The benefit to customers is that both Japanese and Korean dishes make it onto a menu. Not many other places offer Bibimbap next to Ramen! Now if only I could find a place that serves a decent onigiri.

New review, after coming here a second time I’m much more satisfied with my food. I ordered a bulgogi lunch box with dumplings and everything turned out the way I wanted to. The food is fresh and the cooking style reminds me of my parents. Also, the California rolls(they come with the box) were prime. I would recommend the rice meals, though it may be cheaper to come with a partner so you can reap the benefits of buy one get one 50% off

Came to Ginza Sushi to meet with a good friend of ours for an early dinner around 4 pm. As soon as we entered, we were greeted hello. We took a seat towards the back. We got waters to drink. There was no air conditioning in here but the food made up for it. I ordered one of the dinner specials. You order a dinner special and get the other one half off. Great deal. Our server was super nice and got us what we needed. I ordered the California rolls which came with a small salad and miso soup. The other entrée was rice, two pieces of gyoza and vegetable, shrimp and one onion ring tempura. Everything was so delicious! Tempura was crispy and delicious. The California rolls tasted fresh. Service was excellent by our server and kept saying thank you! He was very polite and took care of us. Customer service is top priority to me other than the food tasting great. This is why they get 5 stars because the food was great and service was awesome! This place was small but the décor was nice. There was plenty of seating around 4 pm. A lot of people come in to pick up their phone orders. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Rancho Bernardo area.

Kinda Korean, kinda Japanese, if I remember correctly. I brought my team here for dinner when we were down in Rancho Bernardo for a few days of meetings. Good, fast, and cheap. Restaurants are the only exception to the good, fast, cheap /choose two rule that I can think of and this one probably fits as an exception. That said, I probably won’t come back. It was OK but there are plenty of fish in the sea. And from now on, I will be getting my sushi directly in the sea.

Small family owned, they have a great deal for 50% off the second dish you get. It’s totally worth it! Plus Service was great! I got one of the rice bowls, and the meat is really tender and the seasoning is just right. The whole dish was light and healthy tasting, just like it was home made, where you don’t get a lot of extra fluff in your meal. Sushi was really fresh, rice was perfect and pieces are decently large. Careful not to order too much like we did. … we took advantage of that 50% off… everything will fill you up! ! Affordable, quick, I’m coming back.

This place is incredible. I can’t believe I slept on it so long. I love the menu! Sushi, ramen, udon, Korean bibimbap, Korean stew. what else in the world do you need? Great options with all these dishes as well. Very cool interior. Great staff. I was overwhelmed what to try. I wanted it all. Went with the bibimbap spicy pork. Pretty damn good. A little skimpy on the portion but it’s just such a treat to have this in the area. The banchan was a perfect compliment. Iced green tea was perfect. I might come back tonight for ramen. I’ll be back very soon to try more. SCORE!!!
