Wayyyyyyy better then the solana beach one. Was very hesitant in going to this location because the solana beach location was not good. It was my lunch hour and I had already wasted 20 mins of it doing errands. Carl’s and Jack had super long drive thru lines and parking was already ridiculous. Just as I was leaving a car backed out and I decided to park and eat at Los Primos. I went in and knew I only wanted a monster burrito but wasn’t sure which one. I ended up ordering the monster Cali burrito. It was amazing! The size was huge, there was the right amount of steak and fries and guac mixed together. I also loved the fact that they gave free chips and they had a decent salsa selection as well. This location definitely has changed my mind on los Primos. I’ll have to give them another shot. The reason for one less star is because I’m not from this area and the parking in the plaza suuuuuuucks during lunch time!

It was my first time at this place, ordered a «monster» California burrito for 9,70, but it was not even close to Big burrito, still hungry, feel like waisted money!

Came here for a late dinner. I ordered a burrito to go. Very filling and taste was good! I will most likely come back next time I’m in town. And they accept AMEX which is great!

If you are in the market for a great burrito look no further. This burrito is very great with a nice fluffy soft tortilla. On the inside there is very tasty meats, grilled to pure absolute perfection. The salsa is a combination of sweet, spicy, and sour. The vegetables compliment the delicious food nicely, and make you think you are getting something healthy. The guacamole is mild and has nice hints of salt where needed, with possibley some cilantro. I started coming here a few months ago, and now it is one of my favorite lunch joints. I come with friends and family alike. It is sad that there are not other shops that strive for this perfection, everything about the shop is great including the employees. There are always smiles floating, and it is incredibly contagious. I just love the food here.

See ya! This was our weekend place. Every Saturday and Sunday morning we’d stop at our fave coffee and tea location then order Los Primos by phone for pick up. For two years. The service is always the same. The food is good if they listen to what you want. Unfortunately my husband doesn’t eat cheese. So rather than one burrito with cheese and one without I’d order both by the ingredients we do want. That didn’t work. I’d say NOCHEESE. That didn’t work. I’d call after we got home, mark the receipt and bring it next time for credit. That didn’t work four times. Cook just wants to make every item with cheese regardless of what the receipt says. For these reasons we are done with Primos. I guess we’re now like many of the negative reviews. Disappointed.

I have been going here for at least 8 years and have never really been disappointed. Sometimes their prices fluctuate when you order something really specific, but that’s how most hole in the wall Mexican places are. Can’t go wrong with this place if you’re looking for a killer Cali burrito

Don’t go here late at night. The service was terrible and the food was marginal. The girl behind the counter was obviously unhappy with being there.

My second choice to eat when it comes to Mexican food. The carne asada is good and has daily deals anyone can enjoy. The price is tad high for the quality of food. The staff are friendly and always remember a familiar face. I recommend this place for anyone searching for a local Mexican taco shop.

I wasn’t going to write a review on this place but after reading the review dated 1⁄9 I figured I better. It must have been the same cashier. I came in for a breakfast burrito. When I asked her for the complementary chips she said they weren’t ready yet. She was very rude.

Normally I don’t like to spend time commend or complain bad service, but the service I receive from your cashier today is absolutely unacceptable, I never have a bad service like this! I was at the Rancho Bernardo location on 1÷9÷16(I wish I wrote down the name of the cashier), I called in for an order of 1 steak and egg burrito, when I walk in and told the lady at the register that I called in 10 min ago with an order of a breakfast burrito, she said my total is $ 13 something, I told her that doesn’t sound right she said I ordered 2 burrito, I said I only ask for 1 burrito not 2, immediately she gave me attitude I was kind of shock by the way she acts, it’s not my fault she took the wrong order, then she tried to cancel the wrong order on the register and she kept saying«o my god, o my god… I can’t cancel it» not to mention she didn’t apologize or have any conversation with me, she tried to cancel the order for a minute but couldn’t figure it out so she has to place a new order for me, I gave her my credit card she took the card from me still with a bad attitude, then she slammed the receipt and a pen on the table for me to sign didn’t say a word. First of all it wasn’t my fault she placed a wrong order, the way she acted it’s absolutely unacceptable, and when she slammed the receipt and a pen in front of me that tell me how much she appreciate her customer. I signed the receipt and gave it back to her, she took it from me without saying a word, didn’t say thank you or apologize. I work around the area and after what happened today I definitely think twice before I eat at the restaurant again. It was a very disappointed and horrible customer service.

I came here with a girlfriend to grab some food for an evening at home. I got the Chile Relleno burrito, a side of guacamole and chips. Typical hole in the wall,(but clean), I thought it would be good. The burrito was more rice than chile just to make it huge. I had to open it and dump out the extra rice. I would have rather gotten a smaller serving than waste all of that rice. My true beef was the guacamole. It was avocade blended with sour cream. THATISIT. No onion, no tomato, no cilantro, no onion, so salt or pepper. It was actually GROSS. I was not happy. I paid 3 dollars for a serving of avocado sauce. I give it a rating of two because the rest of the food tasted fine… but the guacamole was a complete waste of time and money. I would rather go any where else than go here again.

We had some great hard shell tacos last night and a carnitas burrito. All of our meal was just lovely. They have Orange Bang on tap, which I thought was a guilty pleasure.

This place is fantastic! My hubby got the«monster burrito» this thing is no joke! It’s a good 3−4lbs and even has French fries inside! I make a point to try fish tacos at just about every restaurant i go to. It’s my mission to find the best fish tacos in San Diego. These were delic. I had the chipotle sauce on top which was perfect. I’m adding these fish tacos to my top 5 list.

It will do in a pinch, but it’s not among the best taco shops I’ve visited. I DO like that you get free chips with your order, but the food is only OK. However, even if I did want to come here again, the parking in this strip mall is horrible. It’s just too hard to find parking.

If you want real Mexican food don’t come here. Disgusting and bland. No flavor. My son ordered a chicken taco and they made a mistake and gave him a burnt taco. When I asked the cashier about their specialities she was confused and very rude. Will not be returning!

I had to write a review of this place! First of all its not a fancy place but it does have the best tacos rice and beans I’ve found in all San Diego. Great for take out or to grab a bite. Great salsa! Only wish the Guac was fresh avacato it’s more a sauce. I will be back a ton for my taco fix. $ 2.99 for a real taco! Kinda hidden next to 7⁄11

Gets better every time I come back. This place is very clean. Salsa bar is pretty good and always clean too. Menu board is a little confusing, but no big deal. Got the 2 main combo plate consisting of 3 beef rolled tacos, 1 giant carne asada taco, rice, beans and a lemonade. Get the stainless steel platter and nice to see they put it together with care. Big portions put together with thought not over flowing in to each other. Rolled tacos had the just the right amount of guac and cheese on them. Put together like I would do for myself with the perfect ratios and handling experience. Tasted great. Would of loved some sour cream, but no complaints. Carne asada taco was spilling over with tons of meat and a nice dose of guac. Handles great too. Beans are average. Big portion staying in it’s designated spot not spilling over in to anything else a nice treat. Rice was done well being fresh and fluffy. This place exceeds anyone’s expectations entering and under rated. Best Mexican in a 20 mile radius.

In the days of the caveman you could never reliably know when or where your next meal came from. So u had to eat as much as you could WHEN you could. Since those days our brains have been hard-wired through evolution to keep us eating even after we’re full. See where I’m going with this? This is the trouble with the Los Primos California Burrito. Crispy fries bejeweled in an savory orchestra of carne, pico and sour cream. It’s deliciousness is inescapable. It’s simplicity, fiendish. The Chinese are smart. They say to stop eating before u feel full. That way u don’t eat too much. They also make food that makes you hungry 3 hours later. Where am I am going with this? I dunno. Why eat chinese food when you can have mexican food.

Been coming here since I was in high school. Might I recommend ordering a California Burrito with just French fries, carne Asada and cheese? Heck try it with ketchup even! Not your typical view of how to eat the California burrito, but you’ll thank me later.

After an 11 mile hike at Mount Woodson, we were ravenous. Carl’s Jr, Jack in the Box, or Los Primos? We let our 15 year old nephew make the call. CA burrito with carnitas for me… pork tasted a little off. Definitely had better. But the grilled fish tacos another had were loaded with fish and tons of fresh cabbage and tomatoes. The salsa bar was fresh and the chips were not too oily. It did the job of getting our energy levels back up.
