In the last few months, my coworkers and I have been ordering our breakfast burritos from here… About once a week, sometimes 2. It’s been a long while since I’ve been here for lunch. My review is based specifically on breakfast. Order the hash brown burrito, it’s the best! It comes with hash brown but not too heavy, bacon, eggs, cheese and sour cream. Tortilla tastes freshly made instead of premade and heated up. Their red salsa is perfection. I’ve also had their chorizo and their steak and eggs. Both are good but nothing beats the hash. They open at 7am and can sometimes get busy.

Went there for the first time last month as I was always curious to test it out. I ordered some carne asada fries from them. Not the worse ones, I’ve ever had. Actually pretty decent compared to what I was expecting in an mostly gringo neighborhood. My only complaints really was change the style of the fries, a little less sour cream and bigger portions. They give you really small portions for the price you’re being charged here. All in all if I had to go back I prolly would since it did the job amazingly enough.

The California Burrito with carnitas was outstanding. The only thing that I didn’t like(making this review reflect 4⁄5 stars) was the undercooked chips. Otherwise, I have my new go-to Mexican place for lunch!

This place used to be called El Patron and it was awesome. I recently moved back to the neighborhood and found they changed their name, and good quality. I’ve been back several times hoping it was a fluke but nope, the food is just simply bad. Went today for the last time, the enchilada sauce could not even be described, what was that???, the chips were stale and the rolled tacos flavorless.

It was pretty good. I usually order the same thing whenever I try out a new taco shop: a carnitas burrito. I hope to enjoy tender and crispy pork with a good amount of guac. While the pork here was tender, it wasn’t at all crispy. It seemed like it was braised or stewed without the customary grilling or flash frying that crisps it up. It was like it came right out of the crock pot. The flavor was ok but there was something in it that overpowered all of the other ingredients… maybe oregano? Whichever herb it was, it dominated every bite. I won’t get this again.

Food is amazing ! Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because of the service I got with the girl at the front. She charged me for 2 burritos when I only ordered one and when I showed her the receipt she gave me an attitude. I get it, customers can be a hassle sometimes but that was unnecessary and uncalled for. Very disappointed

I got a an adobada taco for a quick lunch. It was filled with succulent, spiced pork and all the fixins in two soft corn tortillas. I liked the salsa bar as well. This place also has specials every night of the week. Will definitely be back.

I love love love this place. The burrito with mushrooms and steak(burro?) is bomb. We used to live near here and they were my favorite. My only issue with them is that they close at 7 pm. So come early. Definitely worth stopping by.

Taco Patron is a little Mexican place that is popular for lunch. I had the carnitas, adobaba, and carne asada mini tacos. Of the three I enjoyed the adobaba the most. I would consider it to be better than average Mexican fare, and pretty decent for being so far up north of the city.
