They did not have any fat free sherbet my daughter could have(for a rare dietary restriction) but gave her free soda and my other daughter’s ice cream free! Plus the adult ice cream was amazing. We will be back!

What’s better than their ice cream? Their customer service. Very kind and checked in to make sure we enjoyed our selections. Also came by with samples!

Ice cream with Booze! Yes that’s right… ice cream with booze! We had Cereal Milk ice cream with Kahula & The Street ice cream with Baileys. It was the greatest thing since slice bread. !!

Been here several times and loved it each time. My boyfriend and I brought my sister once, my sister and her boyfriend the next time and then my boyfriends cousin. It’s easily a place we recommend to friends and family.

Cool and unique concept: ice cream and booze! Sold separately or together. The owner was great and answered all our questions about how he started up the place. The atmosphere was wonderful and they really found a way to cater to adults and kids equally. Vanilla Bourbon for the win!

What a wonderful new addition to downtown! My mom and I enjoyed an evening adult ice cream at The House and the pleasure of chatting with the owners. They have approximately 8 flavors of ice cream at a time, half boozy(must be enjoyed in the store) and half kid friendly. You can add a shot of alcohol to the top of any ice cream. I was considering getting the kid friendly froot loop ice cream and adding a shot of RumChata but that adds up quickly. I had a white Russian type ice cream and my mom had a raspberry tequila one(both boozy). The owners shared with us that they do not keep a stock of individual flavors. They simply bring out a new flavor to backfill their cooler. Apparently vanilla bourbon is veryyy popular, it is put out on Friday and is sold out by Saturday. I will definitely be back to The House when I am back in SA.

Small selection of ice cream when our group visited. I got the dazed which was interesting. Very limited seating so we had to stand up for a while but we couldn’t eat our ice cream outside.(Because of the alcohol) The service was terrible. A few people from our party mentioned she was pregnant so maybe she was just having a terrible day? Idk. I didn’t get to try any sample but one since she just started serving me the first one I tried. There was an older man who I assumed was the owner and he seemed pretty cool! We wanted him to serve us since he seemed funny but it was so pack on a Saturday. Interior was cool! Will probably be back when it’s a smaller group. Or unless someone else starts putting booze in their ice cream then I’ll visit them instead. Prices were fine. There’s really no parking but if you park in one of the side streets you’ll be perfectly fine.

This place is so cool. I love how creative their flavors are. I got spiked wedding cake with disaronno and it was pretty amazing. The guy that was working was really nice and struck up a conversation with us. If I’m ever back in San Antonio, I’ll definitely be back here.

This place is awesome! Let me start by saying when I walked in I was greeted right away. They asked if it was my first time there(and it was) so they gave me a quick run down of my options and I decided I wanted the«halfsies» with glazed donut and bourbon vanilla. Both flavors were so delicious. Im still dreaming about the glazed donut flavor. They also will do floats and milkshakes. On a side note to people who say the price is high. It’s alcohol. Alcohol is always expensive. Also it’s in the heart of down town where people go to spend money and have a good time. I think they’re prices and perfectly justified. Marble slab charges more and they don’t use liqueur in their product. I will definitely be going back and telling my friends.

I’m not even through with my ice cream and I have to say — this ish is DELICIOUS. I am having the Irish Setter — which is chocolate whiskey and Baileys. It’s rich and delicious. Slightly boozy — perfectly so. I want to swim in this stuff. Parking is tight. Good luck finding a spot in the limited lot areas. We parked on a side street though with little trouble. The owners were super friendly and helpful. This is a homegrown kind of thing we need more of.

After some Texas BBQ, my friend and I stopped by here at 9:30pm on a Friday night. Another crowd of people had walked in before us, but had trouble deciding. There were eight ice cream flavors: four non-alcoholic and four alcoholic flavored. The owners let us try different flavors. I tried a few then I decided. I went with 2 oz of the Aztec and the Bourbon Banana. The ice cream had the right blend of ice cream and liquor, so it was delicious and not overwhelming. I could taste both the bourbon and the banana literally. We talked with the owner afterwards and it turns out they have been open for about a year. They also change their flavors every week to keep things fresh. I definitely would come here again and try out a different combination.

I AM into the infused ice cream thing but in my opinion $ 14.50 for a milk shake is a bit expensive for a desert. I will be back and I will give them another shot & try more things … Down here in SouthTown we are balling on a budget. Just saying —

My new favorite place in south town — House is the best! Each time I go there I leave unsure which is sweeter, their decadent ice creams or the fantastic family that runs the place. The staff here are so welcoming and friendly, always quick to offer a sample of any of their exciting boozy ice cream flavors. My husband typically opts for a milkshake, with bourbon vanilla ice cream(one of my favorites too!). I’ve yet to try a flavor at House I didn’t love. If you’re like me and you can’t decide on just one, opt for a half scoop of two flavors — their portions are very generous! Just keep in mind that since the ice cream is boozy, you do have to enjoy it at the shop. While the shop is pretty small, it has a cozy atmosphere like an old-timey soda shop. Even when it is busy it seems like groups move through pretty quickly, so we’ve never had a problem finding a place to sit.

SA folks, you guys have hidden gem here in Downtown. You need to drop everything, I mean everything, and come here to get some Boozy Ice Cream, right now! Where else can you get adult Ice Cream? Seriously, there aren’t many around to begin with, and a place that not only mastered the art of booze ice cream, but is also creative? The House Boozy Ice Cream is as rare as Unicorns. A friend and I were here on Sat night, and I’m a Bourbon fan, so I wanted the Bourbon Vanilla, the owner asked if I’m interested in a sample of his Bourbon Eggnog. Of course, I said, who in their right mind would say no to Bourbon or Eggnog? I had a sample and I immediately loved it, the blend of the Bourbon and Ice cream is just out of this world. Neither the alcohol or ice cream over powerer each other, and the blend is the perfect mix, it complement each other and it is just delicious. I’m a Bourbon snob, and if they used Jack or Jim, I would’ve only given it 4.9 stars, but they are using Texas Whiskey(some Bourbon distillery from Austin), which bumps it up to 5 stars. The owner is nice enough to give me a shot of it. The owner also mentioned that he is planning to use a Chocolate Bourbon for a Chocolate ice cream, I can’t wait

This is the greatest concept of all time. Booze + ice cream = AWESOME. First of all, The House is just the cutest. Once we were inside, we were treated like royalty and the staff gave us their full attention. We were able to try samples and given explanations of all of their offerings. The piña colada ice cream was delish, but I ended up with the cookie monster in a cone. My sister-in-law got one of the regular ice creams and added some booze, but it was a bit much for her(too much liquor). The owner was super friendly about it and added some of their ice cream mixture to tone it down, and it ended up perfect. I’m pretty sure they’re now also doing flights of ice cream, which is just genius. This is a family business, locally owned, and these people are super nice. The House is basically their second job, which takes some dedication to work all day and then come and run another business! Just make sure you check their Facebook page for closure notifications, or specials that they’re running. Everything is top notch, from the customer service to the range of flavors of ice cream to the quality of their product. Fabulous addition to San Antonio.

So I’m gonna let y’all in on a fun family secret and tell you guys that I refer my Great Grandma(who is alive and kicking) as Grandma Ice Cream. Now let me further explain that this is the same awesome woman who taught me as a child how to make her mudslides with Kahlua and everything. She was a straight up BOSS. It’s safe to say that my Grandma Ice Cream loves alcohol and this place immediately tugged at my heart strings. Once I heard their doors were open for business I just knew I had to come check it out. Boozy Ice Cream is the perfect place to get away with drinking at anytime of day. I now have a place where if for some crazy reason people wanted me to babysit I will immediately inform them I’ll be taking them out to «ice cream». Now before you look at me like I’m a horrible person, they serve non-alcoholic flavors for the little ones. The main attraction is of course the booze infused flavors such as the Pink Lemonade with Deep Eddy(my personal fave) and a cookies and cream version. The scoops are massive as this place doesn’t mess around. The flavors are amazing here and they are very well thought out. What I appreciate about the boozy flavors is how you can actually taste the alcohol in them. I’m fairly certain you can get a small tingly sensation from them. In my defense though I did have extra liquor poured onto my ice cream. Yes you heard me … you can get more alcohol on your boozed up ice cream! You’re allowed to sample a few of the flavors including the boozy ones, if you’re 21+, before you have to make any decision. Parking is a bit scarce but I assure you it is totally worth it!

Booze AND ice cream? You have my undivided attention! Don’t worry, you don’t have to imbibe to enjoy this spot, but I highly recommend that you do. There are alcoholic ice cream flavors available as well as kid-friendly creations, along with the option for a bar full of pour-overs if you really want to tie one on. As at any bar, if you order anything with alcohol, you’ll have to consume it on site– but the shop itself is so cute, you’ll want to stick around anyway. The owners, Robert & Carmen, are as sweet as the cream and happy to tell you all about their business, flavors, and creative process. Try everything you’re interested in– counter currently only features ~8 flavors at a time, but they’re all remarkable. Even the Mint Chocolate Chip, a fairly tame-sounding option, was one of the best versions I’ve had, with an explosively minty finish and a creamy mouthfeel without a single icy bit. The French Toast flavor really stole the show, with a texture on par with gelato and the added punch of a Fireball infusion. Get here now!

This was delicious, wonderful and exciting and I don’t have an incredibly detailed, precise Elite review for this place because I was too busy being — excited! They have pre-boozed and un-boozed house made ice creams, with optional shots served on top of those flavors that were not already graced with alcohol. To make your life even better, if you cannot possibly imagine only choosing one boozy flavor of ice cream, they will fit 2 or even 3 flavors in a cup for you. I was entirely guilty of this and had a cup with«Not The Dude» «Bourbon Vanilla» AND«Iced Boozed Coffee» as well as a glass of Cab, because I go hard on Saturday afternoons. It requires mentioning that the art on the walls was of absolutely fabulous drag queens and it made me so happy and also feel like I needed to put on more eyeliner. The main lady behind the counter & her parents were very cool, her Dad told me I had great tattoos.(I do) I recommend taking anyone you know here. Old, young, cone or cup, milkshake or scoop. It will be a success.
