Food is sub par and the prices don’t reflect it. The register lady is rude as well. I asked for two hot mustard sauces and she said the extra one would be .10 cents. There are way too many options that are better for the same or less money.

I am going to give this bistro a 5-star. I love ambience and this restaurant meets my standards. The waitress was hospitable and acommodating. The chicken lo mein concoction we had was served hot and fresh and with lots of meats and not just a sprinkle. It was delicious. A $ 9 serving actually fits 2 persons. We also had a 6pc fried wonton. At barely 3 bucks for 6 pieces plus served hot and crunchy from the hot oil, it cannot be beat. I was hesitant to even come to this place due to negative reviews. It was worth the risk of trying it today. I will definitely be a return customer.

I moved here from another city. I love chicken and shrimp fried rice. I’ve been to a lot of Asian places that have great food. But this place had the best fried rice. And the service was great.

Really, really, really bad food. I did’t think it was possible to screw up Pepper Steak, but it happened. When asked why the fried rice is so flavorless, we were told«we don’t put much flavor in the fried rice». Seriously. A near exact quote. Not going back.

TERRIBLESERVICE. the order took forever to get here, and it wasn’t correct… Or hot… When I called back to let them know what happened(something I rarely ever do), I was told they would send over a new order of I swapped out the old one. Soooo now I have to wait another hour to eat? No thanks. I will never order from there again.

Never disappointed with any thing we order. Even the time I was an hour late picking up because of work they made me fresh food when i arrived. Above and beyond with customer service.

Why in the Hell do some people actually like this place and rate it over two stars? I tried them out because I just moved to the area and I’d hoped to find an occasional three star meal, maybe better. I will never come back here. Not only was my General Tso chewy and filled with fat and tendons but it also tasted bland overall and only had three broccoli florets. It was very unmemorable. It’s a cheap Chinese joint with mediocre food but with high 9.95 dinner prices, which is way too high for the level of quality you get. I think lunch is about 6.95 for whatever that’s worth. They sell their soda in a can instead of fountain drinks, which about half of the restaurants out there do, but it always keeps me from ordering soda. That’s really just an FYI for those who may feel the same way. Let me get to the real kicker… I should have left from the very beginning after my waitress brought the greasy wonton crisps bowl. Though they were the normal ho-hum complimentary snack you get while you wait for your meal(which is a nice, thoughtful touch honestly) they came out without sweet and sour sauce so I asked my waitress for some sauce and… SHEGRABBEDSOMEFROMTHETABLETHATHADJUSTLEFT. The used sauce bowl they’d been opening and using during their entire meal with a spoon that’d touched their food as they ate it, was reached for over the half eaten plates they left so it could be given to me. Nice. When I calmly asked her if I could have a fresh one she said«it’s okay, you can trust that it’s quality.»… Seriously? How do you know that? Did you watch them while they ate? Insisting on a clean open-top sweet and sour bowl finally got me one, but I’m still floored I even had to ask. Avoid, avoid, avoid this over-priced bottom-of-the-barrel Chinese place. There are at least a dozen other cheap Chinese places around to choose from instead.

I really enjoyed my visit! I moved here from NJ, and have been struggling to find a good Chinese takeout/delivery place. The one near me has made me sick numerous times, so I’m thrilled to have found the Happy Dragon. Service and food were both excellent — I am looking forward to going back.

Second and last time here. Was craving wonton soup, ended up with a bowl of salty broth with a couple of wonton skins in it. The staff is nice enough and the place seemed clean. Not a good value in my opinion.

Good hot sour soup BUT more vegetables than meat in the main entrees which is disappointing. Service is ok.

Steer Clear of this Chinese Bistro. The food was ok but the customer service was poor! They seemed more interested in just taking your money than delivering a good customer experience. I think they have forgotten the basic fundamentals of a good dining experience. I hope this will serve as a reminder to them; We don’t owe them our business! There are lots of choices out there and this customer will not choose this one again… Maybe they will miss my money. Signed, Disappointed

Food is just okay. We have tried it a few times… the vegetables like the broccoli and mushrooms in the fried rice are usually not fresh. Pretty typical round rock Chinese food.

I have never had any issues eating from here over a dozen times. I always order to go, and it is always quick and courteous. The food is as good as any of the other places and the lunch portions are large

What’s the point of throwing a negative review onto the pile, when the restaurant in question has no aspirations to greatness? Does anyone really care if Generic Chinese Restaurant #134532 had a bad lunch service? Do the owners of Happy Dragon? Who cares if I was ignored for an uncomfortable length of time leading to my getting up and leaving before having placed an order? As long as there are fried eggrolls, fried rice, and kung pao people will keep coming back. Why should I hold this place to standard that it does not aspire to and that its loyal customers don’t expect? The only purpose of this spiteful one-star is not to inform or illuminate. You can see exactly what Happy Dragon is just by looking at the strip center façade and sign. You don’t need me to tell you anything. Nah, the only purpose of this review is to make me feel a little better about the crappy lunch I had today. I may have quietly skulked out Happy Dragon and into my car to find a restaurant that would serve me, but I will not go quietly into that good night.

I was very pleased with Happy Dragon. We ordered for pick up, food was ready when we got there and didn’t taste old and stale once my hubby arrived home with the food. I ordered the lunch portion of the Sweet and Sour chicken, good portion size and was very tasty. Much better than some of the other Round Rock Chinese food establishments that I’ve tried. Happy Dragon will be our go-to for take out Chinese.

An honest 3.6 Basically, it’s cheap, it’s fast, tastes good enough, and they will deliver to your hotel room for less than $ 20…oh yeah! My suggestion, General Tsao’s.

I was VERY impressed! Granted it was my first time, and it’ll be interesting to see how other dishes pan out in the future. but I was VERY happy with my lunch experience yesterday. My 3 year old and I popped in about 1:30. We were seated immediately, got our drinks timely, and BOOM, out came our soups. I love Wonton, but not everyone makes a good Wonton soup. This was one of the best Wonton soups I have had! 2 big fat noodles, really tasty fried Wonton strips, and a delicious broth! I finally convinced my son to try it, and he said«it was so delicious it made me want to dance!». Kid you not. We ordered the Dragon LoMein & sesame shrimp. Both came with very tasty egg rolls. I am super picky about those suckers, but am pleased to find a place that has good ones! The gentlemen taking our order let me know that the LoMein didn’t have a lot of veggies in it, so I knew what to expect & he was right. It was LOTS of noodles and beef, chicken & shrimp. For lunch, it was a big serving! No complaints there, cause it turned into my older kids’ dinner! Score. The Sesame Shrimp was delicious too! For a lunch order, I believe I got about 8 pieces w rice. All in all, 2 large lunch entrees(soup and egg rolls included) with water came to $ 15, including tax. AND, they have a frequent customer card! LOVE. We WILL be back!

We ordered two lunch specials, the dragon spicy chicken and shrimp with vegetables. Iate most of my spicy chicken and thought… hmmm…that’s not very spicy… about 2 bites of it was super hot… never ran into this before… deduct one star please… they were kind of busy and the food wasn’t as good as it was the last visit, back to Fortune Garden for us.
