This place is no good at all. I don’t know where the good reviews come from other than it is clearly from people that have never had good Mediterranean food. Ordered the lamb plate. None of it was good — the lamb, the hummus, the pita, the rice. The salad was OK.

Love the Lamb Shawarma wrap! A small, but very clean place with a helpful and friendly staff, where you can watch your food being prepared.

I hate this place… it keeps taking all my money. My favorite lunch spot in the area by a significant margin.

Outstanding for vegans. Best damn falafel in the Bay Area, and you can choose between a wrap($ 8, «super» it by adding potatoes and eggplant) or a platter($ 11, «hold the feta» if you’re vegan). I work nearby and this is one of my favorite lunch options.

I eat here all the time. Salad with lamb Great home cooked food. Great service too. See Moe or Lou for your next meal choices. Family owned can’t say enough good. Always a clean kitchen every time I come That says a lot! And the meat or salads are always fresh. Great job guys!

I come here a lot for lunches since it’s convenient and close to my house. Food is pretty good and there are large portions. I usually get the chicken shawarma plate(which can last me lunch and dinner), but it ends up being around $ 13⁄14. Overall it’s pretty tasty, but if you wanna be nit picky, the chicken is dry, and the rice seems store bought. #basic Although it does come with a side salad that’s pretty refreshing. It also comes with hummus and pita bread(which I’m pretty sure is also store bought). I’ve also had the chicken shawarma wrap, about $ 9. It’s nothing special, but fills you up and hits the spot if you’re craving mediterranean food. Perks of this place: fast and friendly service. There is always a lot of people who come here during the lunch rush. But this place is always fast, and you’ll get your food in no time. No real complaints for this place, except that the chicken is dry and that I’m paying like $ 14 for it.

The falafels here are great! You can get most things as side dishes if you don’t want a full plate . The chicken kabobs were pretty good, as well as the hummus . Just a little on the pricey side, but the food is good.

I work in Redwoood Shores and this is one of my favorite places to eat not only in the area, but of all time! Not only are the portions extremely generous(and priced well for how much food you get) it is extremely delicious and you can tell the quality is there. The staff is always so friendly and one think that I love about this place is that they are so flexible with substitutions. Normally I get the lamb/beef shawarma plate and I always swap the rice out for babaganouj free of charge! My recommendation is that if you do the same swap, get an extra pita since you will have plenty of hummus and babaganouj that you won’t be able to clean up with only one pita. Only thing is that it gets super packed during the week for lunch and it can take some time. However you can order over the phone or online really easily and its always been ready once I get there.

This is a very small place, no seating inside, there are very few seatings outside. We went there on a Friday during lunch time. I ordered Vegetarian Combo, its bit pricy, $ 10.95 for vegetarian combo plate, but the food was really awesome, enjoyed it.

A bit pricey, but damn good food! I haven’t been during peak hours, but I’ve heard the lines get pretty long. If you’re at the office, you can start a group order online and pick it up — although ours did get a little mixed up today. Still, the food is very good here. The falafels are crispy and moist, and the shawarma plates are HUGE! They’ll set you back about $ 15, but they don’t skimp out on the meat. It’s not the best shawarma I’ve had, but it’s a very solid choice. You also get salad, rice, hummus, the softest pita you’ll ever have, pickled onions, grilled jalapeño and tomato, and some seriously good chopped pickles. You can grab some sauces while you wait: the green sauce is tasty and spicy, the orange sauce is very spicy, and the white sauce is like a tahini sauce, which is perfect to dip your falafels in.

Decent Mediterranean food in Redwood Shores. I got the shawarma platter. It’s a lot of food but the baba ganouj could be better.

Yeah, this place is expensive. Yeah, the lunch lines are long. But if you’re expecting anything else in Redwood Shores, you might want to lower your standards. This place is a tiny(but clean and well-lit) takeout place, so it might be confusing when you get inside. Make sure you’re in line for the cash register — don’t worry, it moves quickly. There are probably a lot of people standing around inside, but they’ve already ordered and they’re waiting to get their food. There’s a good selection of drinks, including coconut water and bottled green tea. There’s also a water dispenser with small water cups. I’ve only gotten the shawarma plates here(not the falafel)… Chicken, lamb, beef — it’s all good. If you can’t decide, get the mixed option and try everything! $ 12.95 for an order. The plates come with a giant helping of meat and rice with sliced pickles, onions, and jalapeño on top, as well as a side salad and hummus(with pita bread). While you’re waiting, you might as well prepare your sauce! SAUCECHEATSHEET: — White is, of course, the tzatziki cucumber yogurt sauce. Dump it everywhere! It’s creamy and delicious. — Orange is the creamy hot sauce. It’s PRETTY spicy so I wouldn’t eat too much of it unless you’re a crazy spice-master. Definitely make sure to put it in the sauce cup instead of saucing your entire meal and regretting it later. — Green is hot as well, but with fantastic herbs to taste, and less of a kick. — Red is the chili sauce — pretty standard across the board. PARKING: As easy as it can get. Free parking all over the giant plaza(which includes the Nob Hill grocery store)! SEATING: There are only about 5 tables outside for you to sit, unfortunately, but you can walk along the plaza to find other empty tables by other eateries!

Ordered the chicken rice plate earlier today and found the portions definitely on the small side. Where’s the quality control here. 1⁄3 of the chicken rice part was pickles. For $ 13 I expect a little more meat. Is there a chicken shortage? Wait, yes there is… the avian flu! I guess I understand now. Service was fine but where are the garbage cans? Why do I have to go outside to find it?

Great Mediterranean place! I almost always get the lentil soup and a side of hummus and both are delicious! They also have awesome wraps and great falafel. This is a great family-run place and I highly recommend it!

This place is located in the Nob Hill shopping center, on the same side a few doors down from Nob Hill. Although there are seats outside and inside the place, it’s best for take out. Especially since they’re currently undergoing some construction. Anyways, I got koodibeh(sp?) beef plate for around $ 13 – 14 I think and three falafel balls. The falafel balls were fairly big and not bad. The platter comes with lots of hummus, salad, a large piece of pita bread, lots of rice, and a few slices of grilled hot peppers and tomato’s. The tomatoes were sprinkled with a little cinnamon which wasn’t bad on the tomato’s. There are also bits of chopped pickles in the rice. If you like hot sauce, then you should definitely get the red orange, and green hot sauce at the counter there. They’re all very spicy, and very good! It was almost to hot to handle for me, and I love spicy food! I took my order to go. I couldn’t finish the platter although I was really hungry since it came with three pieces of meat, and I also had the falafel. So I took more than half of it home with me. They also sell jars of pickled beets, olives, pickles, and other canned and jarred goods there. There is a good selection of cold drinks there too. The food comes out fairly fast. I don’t think that I waited more than ten minutes for my order. The meat was a bit dry, but that might have been since the meat was lean. Or maybe it was a little overcooked, but either way, it wasn’t bad.

After dropping off my friend at EA games which is located across the street from here. I headed over to get my falafel fix. I’ve been to several falafel spots and not all give the same service like they do at Falafel Tazah. I was impressed by how fast their service. Even though they had customers waiting to order and ordering. The staff was able to make the orders and get the the customers out quickly. Fast service is always a plus! Friendly and helpful staff. They tell you to take your time if you’re not sure what to get. That’s exactly what I did. Took my time looking at the menu and finally decided on a chicken shawarma wrap. When the chicken is juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. You realize that one shawarma isn’t enough. I’ll order an extra one to go next time. You also have four different sauces that you can help yourself to. The orange and white sauces were the best. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of both or any of the sauces. I will return for more!

A little sour for my taste but there was a good amount of meat in it. _____ Overall Experience 3⁄5 Stars _____ Last Words When it’s busy most of the people inside already ordered so don’t wait behind them thinking they’re in line to order.

I think this used to be a milkshake place? That was a ways back though. Now it’s a very busy Med place. Even at two in the afternoon people were in and out. Id hate to see it at 12.30pm. Kefta kabob plate with humus, salad, onions, pickles, rice and pita. Keft and rice are good. Pita and humus plus pickles are solid. Not so much into the salad but then i dont love lettuce. So i picked the tomato and cucumbers of it. It’s hard to beat the kefta right off the grill and let it soak into the rice. It’s something you gotta eat right there. You also get to people watch al, the walks of weird life that come and go too

This place is a great place for cheap and quick middle eastern food. I came for a quick dinner fix and they didn’t have a line and were able to take my order quickly. They had a pretty good selection and though I didn’t ask about substituting, I’m sure they would have gladly accommodated. The man that rung me up and took my order was very nice and friendly. They also have SQUARE checkout so that made it quick and easy. When it came to the actual food, it came out pretty quick, awesome! I have the beef\lamb shawarma, which came with humus, pita, and a little salad. The little salad was good, had a few olives and little veggies with some vinaigrette. The hummas was average humus but still good. The pita was great, not over cooked. And the beef/lamb was delicious! The rice was okay, just regular yellow rice, a little dry if you ask me. Overall, a great place for a quick fix. Nothing spectacular. TIP: If you like the yogurt sauce, ask for extra! They don’t give you much.
