This place is filthy and needs management that cares about a dirty atmosphere! The floors and under the tables and dirty, the tables are left dirty. It didn’t used to be this way but it’s been getting worse. May not be back!

This place is amazing! Love using my MyPanera card and love getting the amazing salads and fresh foods! I was greeted by the GM, Sherry, who did an exceptional job making the café feel welcoming while provided great and fast service! Definitely coming back!

Thought I would give it another try. Sadly, the food is always bland and pre-packaged. Most things heated on a press. The grilled cheese looks like soggy bread. not even grilled. Breakfast sandwich so bland and the egg still loose. Their efforts to be super cost efficient has brought the quality too far down. A fast food breakfast sandwich would be fresher.

Still waiting for our food after 45 minutes. Another gentlemen I spoke to waited an hour. This location is seriously understaffed. Cashier obviously trainee and no clue. Kitchen has 2 – 3 workers. The only waiter/server on the floor was obviously overloaded but still somehow managed to remain calm, collected and professional; Everett was the only saving grace of this horrible experience. We won’t be back for a very long time.

The quality of the lettuce in my sandwich is unacceptable. It’s literally rotting. Everything else is fine about this place but wow this was bad

I wish I could give this place no stars. I love Panera… Except for this store!!! I have tried repeatedly to change my mind about this store, but on numerous occasions they have messed up our order. We specifically have asked for certain types of bread for our sandwiches or sides and EVERY. TIMETHEYHAVEGOTTENITWRONG!!! Tonight, my hubby checked the order before walking out and noticed the bread on my sandwich was soggy and one side was only a ¼ piece of bread on my ½ sandwich. He had it redone and by the time he got home, the sandwich was soggy again. On previous occasions, they have told me certain bakery items are in stock and come to find out they aren’t. This is really aggravating, especially when it doesn’t take that much to check supply. Trust me, go to another location. They have it all wrong at this store!!! Oh and we didn’t get our free treat either!

This place is disappointing. While the service is fine, the food quality is mediocre at best and the set up defies logic. I stopped by for a quick coffee and pastry(pecan roll). I asked if it could be heated and the server pointed to a knee level microwave below the coffee. How is it possible that a bakery-like place doesn’t have the capacity to heat a pastry? The tiny microwave was an ultra cheap Walmart special, and of course the rotating tray was missing. No matter, the oval plate didn’t fit anyway. Pastry tasted stale, coffee was weak and watery. There is no reason to ever return.

NEVER go to this Panera! The service is the worst, and they frequently mess up your order. Go to the one in Mission Viejo, it is much better.

Sigh. I love Panera’s Mediterranean Chicken & Quinoa salad. Stopped in today to pick it up for lunch(after talking myself into something healthier than my initial impulse to go to In N Out). Picked up my order, and realized halfway home that it was the wrong salad. Drove back, they replaced it, but without much apology(and certainly without the«free treat» they promise on a sign by the counter if your order is wrong… they didn’t offer it so I didn’t ask.) Also, I had to ask for a piece of bread to go with the corrected(or so I thought) order. THEN, I got home and my salad was missing several ingredients(including the quinoa). A mistake on an order is understandable — will happen from time to time, but to do it twice on the same order tells me they need to button up their operations.

Love love coming here if my breaks and lunch. Tess is always considerate when I order ice coffee(everyday, sometimes twice a day) to make sure she puts ice in my cup and hand me a lid so I don’t have to go back and fourth from the beverage station to the coffee station(on opposite ends of the restaurant). Also love the patio dining, perfect combination of sun and shade, and ample people watching! All staff is super friendly and the place is very clean!

Another screwed up order! All these reviews can’t lie! Avoid! Check your order completely before you leave. All for 11 – 13 $ lunch WAY overpriced. I ordered the $ 9 pick two, for one quarter sandwich and a small old lettuce bowl. Does Panera pay more for lettuce than the rest of us? Enjoy the turkey sandwich, but skip hurting your eyes looking for the turkey. Hopefully everyone will skip going here and/or corporate will come in and take over permanently to help with screwed up orders from the kitchen. This location NEEDS to offer if your order is wrong/different from the receipt, each error customer gets $ 100.00 gift card from Panera. My guess they will start caring about getting orders correct. Better just skip and hopefully this Panera will close! GOTOTOGOS, BETTERSERVICE, VALUEANDBETTERFOOD, OHYEACHEAPERTOO..

Great place for healthier lunches. I like how this business practices using organic vegetables, fruits and antibiotic/hormone free chickens, turkeys and eggs. However, I get disappointed with the GMO laden condiments. Food is clean and healthy, but needs a little bit of ‘Remi’ for the higher prices they charge. Services are good because they never complain about correcting their service errors– running out of coffee, wrong orders, lack of cleanliness. They’d make mistakes, but they’d make it better. I give them five stars for effort.

Waiting for over 30 min for our food? Wtf. Cmon. Terrible. I brought my parents to experience this place for the first time and they made a horrible impression on them. Tried to get our refund. «Oh your food is coming out right now». Luckily, we just got our money back. Very angry still. You bet I’m going to leave a comment to the actual website.

I like Panera, I just wish their food was a little cheaper! It’s definitely one of the healthier chain fast/food restaurants and I’ve never had a terrible food experience with anything that I’ve ordered. My favorite thing to order here is the fuji apple chicken salad! I like that they do the ½ sizes so that you can order smaller portions or you can build your own combination of soup, salad, or sandwiches. This particular Panera is located in a pretty crowded plaza. Finding parking during lunch time/dinner time is a nightmare. Just park further away and walk. They have tables outside so I like to take my food outside on a sunnier day.

I’m trying to figure out why this location has 2 ½ stars… It’s not that bad. Not at all. In fact I really enjoyed my ½ Thai Chicken Salad and ½ Bacon Turkey Sandwich with a ¼ French Baguette… Fresh, tasty, and«good for you» food. Of course, I don’t frequent Panera Bread that often… In fact this was my first visit, but in saying so I will admit that something was amiss at this fast-casual restaurant. Panera Bread in Rancho Santa Margarita is laid out like a fancy Souplantation, but they prepare and bring your food out like it’s an old-style Sizzler. The menu is huge but they don’t have any sort of signature meal; I mean, I seldom think to myself«hmm, I may want some bread today for lunch… Ah, yes! Panera!» The staff are very nice, but at the same time not very helpful. I was given a gigantic table number so that the server can find me by GPS, but then they just plop the finely prepared food on the table as if to say«here» without even saying the word. It’s also a very clean and neat restaurant, but not very open or inviting. Simply put, the dining area is a hallway with about ten tables and a door open to the communal patio section… I’m confused. I was also the only single male eating lunch in the restaurant today; should I even be dining here without a female present to nitpick about the amount of gluten I intake? I only say this because the two ladies sitting across from me were doing just that… I can hear you, you know? It was very good but I have no desire to go back… Not the sort of place I can eat and relax in without bringing my mother or wearing a fashionable scarf. Pros: The Thai Chicken Salad had the perfect amount of fire-roasted edamame. Cons: Pricey for a half sandwich and salad. Again, Panera Bread is not that bad… It has to be me. I just don’t like eating there.

Not exactly sure why this Panera Bread location has such a bad rating. We went one uneventful Tuesday night before catching a movie next door. The people who greeted us at the cash register were friendly, cheery and helpful. Sure, their food is nothing crazy special, just solid — hubby ordered a chicken cobb while brother ordered a soup/sandwich combo(tomato/chipotle chicken). I ordered the Pesto Sacchetini(cautioned by the cashier that the pastas are«pre-made»). Hubby’s salad was a little bland but brightened right up when I asked for extra dressing. Brother said his panini was«ok» and he modified the soup(with a bunch of hot sauce). My pasta, on the other hand, was tasty in the flavor department. The pasta was overcooked/mushy but hey, I was duly warned. The couple pastries we ordered as dessert were yummy and totally hit the spot.(cream cheese danish and cinnamon roll thingy) Again, everyone we encountered(cashier, server and chef who gave us more dressing) were all pretty accommodating and helpful. Great place to eat before the movies.

Please someone read their reviews. I come here to have a healthier dining experience but this place forces me to eat something around here that’s crappy. I work down the street. This place is Ina good location but their food is just meh. I can go to the wheel of death at work and get a better sandwich then what this place serves. I thought I would get their pick two. I had the half sandwich and cup of soup. The soup was yummy. The only reason why I gave it two stars. The sandwich was less impressive. Every time I dine here I have a terrible experience. Once went there had a salad and the lettuce was wilted!!! It was only day two of them being open I believe not to mention it wasn’t fluffed it just laid flat and at the bottom of the bowl. I have posted pictures of how it was given to me and then how taking less than a minute to make it at least appetizing and not like I just bought it in the wheel of death. Please take my advice. I will never return. It’s been awhile and you still seem to fail. It was also sad to see they use pre-sliced lunch standard meat that looks and taste like Oscar Mayer lunch meat.
