I was overjoyed when I found out that Bruxie was coming to RSM. I used to drive all the way to Orange just to wait in a long line at the Bruxie shack they have there for waffle sandwiches. Favorites: bacon, egg, & cheddar. Turkey. Berries & lemon cream. S’mores. Okay let’s be honest I like almost everything I’ve ever tried here. This chain needs to go mainstream so I can get my Bruxie fix all up and down the coast. Service is great here too! There’s always an employee hanging around the line with menus or answering questions. The register line moves quickly. And they bring you your food efficiently using their cool tablet trackers. Do the right thing and give Bruxie your money in return for delicious.

CLOSEDDOWN! The management is outside today letting everyone that this location is shut down. Unreasonable property management company is the reason. Such a shame.

Cute concept not so sure about the food. I’ve eaten here twice and I am still a little undecided with weather I like them or not. My first experience was for lunch where I got a turkey sandwich and it was tasteless and greasy. Left me feeling very unsatisfied and a bit like I needed to be forcing myself to drive the big white bus. My co-worker was smart and had dessert for lunch and it not only looked great but she LOVED it! So I decided to take my mom and give them a chance using her taste buds. We went for breakfast. She loved her food and I thought mine was pretty good too. I am up in the air about the syrup but over all I really can’t complain for my second visit. I noticed they also have a location in Orange and I might give them another try since I am on the fence. Either they will push me off one way or the other. The service was great both times and they didn’t take too long to bring the food. Lunch time can get rather busy at this location and the line is out the door when the first opened but now that the novelty has worn off they seem to get the regular lunch crowds. I did love the little bottles they give you with the syrup in them. This will come in handy when I go camping. I will have to try the breakfast again and the dessert and see if I fall in love or they will get the ax!

I’m a regular Bruxie eater and have been to this location a couple times. Their waffles never fail to disappoint though I must say they are worlds better when consumed fresh and still hot/warm. They aren’t as magical when they get cold. Some of my faves: Smoke Salmon Bruxie Mushroom and Gruyère Bacon Egg & Cheese Seasonal Crème Brulee(Typically stuffed with some sort of berries when in season) Diet Cola I wasn’t a fan of the liege waffle… definitely a whole different animal than the regular waffle, denser and more sugary. Everyone seems very friendly here. I did almost freeze my buns off one our last visit over the weekend. I realize the concept of Bruxie is the whole open air thing but it’s winter time… heaters were great for the patio but for the seating near the open doors where no heaters are, you will feel a chill. Go prepared!

We were bracing ourselves for a crowded Sunday brunch crowd but to our surprise at 11:00am, it was quite empty. Doing my 1 minute research on Unilocal,my hubby and I decided to share a chicken and waffle with maple syrup and we ordered a pbj kids meal for the kiddos. I guess I was expecting a nice slightly toasted on the outside, warm soft texture inside like a good waffle should but was disappointed that the waffle was rather tasteless and frankly cold and soft. The chicken was a thin but large piece with hints of syrup and what looks like cabbage pieces inside. Very simple. Combined, it was ok. Nothing epic. A little savory and a little sweet. I’m still scratching my head trying to figure out why its all the rage and is it really a «Bold Fold»? It sounds nice. The kids enjoyed their PB&J waffle but my kids will eat anything with PBJ in it even if its in rice. The service was great. The price is reasonable but for quality of food, it’s just alright.

YES! Bruxie in RSM! I was sad to leave Garden Grove because I knew it would be a drive to get my Bruxie fix and all the other good food places. When my brother came to visit me for the first time and told me he would want to get brunch I went on Unilocal and Bruxie popped up. I had to do a double take on the location — I was SUPER excited, haha! Brother and I came here a month ago and I was really curious about their nachos since I have not seen it in the other 2 locations. I have to admit, we were a little bummed. I kind of hoped for something better… we didn’t really like the kind of cheese that was on it. Still, you can never go wrong with the Strawberry Crème Brulee — So YUMMY! I came back the following weekend with my cousins(yes, anyone who visits me i have to take them here to try). My little cousin got the plain waffles with the little syrup Bruxie bottle. It was so cute! As always, service is good. Been here 3 times and there hasn’t been long lines. Plenty of seats and it’s not just out door seating. It’s probably bigger than the Brea location and for sure bigger than the original location in Orange. Also plenty of parking :)

A few months ago at the Rancho Santa Margarita local Library for Family night, my daughter won a gift certificate for a choice of either a free caramel sundae or milk shake from Bruxie, and we finally remembered to redeem it before it expired. I have walked and driven past this restaurant a thousand times, but never got around to stopping by because they are ALWAYS super busy and I never carried the gift certificate around with me(until today). The two hostesses who greeted us at the door were very sweet and friendly explaining to my daughter and I where to go inside for her free treat. My daughter was so excited given the option to choose her treat and flavor herself. The girls listed the options of flavors for her and she chose a chocolate milk shake. Personally if it were up to me I would have chosen the caramel sundae, but after today’s experience, there’s always next time. As you can see by my photo, they did an excellent job making her chocolate milk shake, complete with a ton of whip cream and happy little chocolate sprinkles all around. It even tasted just as good as it looked. We will definitely be back with the rest of the family to try one of their famous waffle sandwiches! Thank you Bruxie for your contribution towards our wonderful programs available to the residents of Rancho Santa Margarita at our public library! Keep up the great work!

This review is long overdue… shame on me for holding out on my fellow Unilocalers. If you’re contemplating trying a gourmet waffle sandwich… don’t. The waffle sandwich is a masterpiece and should be enjoyed by all. Can I just say that I still dream about Bruxie. I am not kidding. I love a good chicken and waffle but Bruxie’s version was different. They make waffle sandwiches. Wha? Yes, light and crispy waffles wrapped around delicious fillings. In my case, it was a perfectly fried chicken breast and a drizzle of delicious chili honey sauce topped with slaw. It was pure perfection! From the first bite to the last, I was in a happy place. Wow! I did enjoy the waffle fries and I was fortunate to try my husbands hot pastrami… can I just say… DELISH!!! I can’t wait to eat at Bruxie again. My mouth is watering just thinking about it…

I’ve been to all the Bruxie locations. They all are slightly different in appearance from each other, but they all have the same fantastic food. Much like the other locations, the RSM Bruxie has a large open dining area even though it’s in a shopping mall. Décor screams Bruxie and the staff is just as competent too. My favorites are the chicken and waffle, strawberry cheesecake, and Irish nachos. Be sure to order those seasonal/specials just in case they don’t make them again and a shake if you want to feel like a fatty(but in a good way).

Belgian waffles R Us X Ingredients Extraordinaire After hearing pretty good reviews from a few trusted sources, I was still a bit skeptical about savory waffle sandwiches. Would it be like fair food? Somehow, it didn’t seem that delicious of a combo to me. I guess that’s also why I still have yet to try Roscoe’s. Anyway– I could not have been more wrong. I will definitely try Bruxie’s Chicken & Waffle next time, but since I came for brunch, I wanted something a bit more breakfast-y. Alright, so here goes. This one’s for you, Sam-I-Am… Like the grouch of a grown-up I sometimes am, I scanned the menu, & read, «Green eggs and ham.» A waffle w/egg, cheese, arugula, ham, & pesto… How would that combo taste though? Isn’t a waffle supposed to be sweet? I was hungry & ready to eat. Feeling brave, I took a chance. In 5 minutes, and 1 quick glance Love was in the air Carried by a server with dirty blonde hair. Oh my! The waffle was so crispy & light And right after the very first bite, I closed my eyes and died. I had gone to heaven, a foodie heaven. What about those waffle fries on the side? I forget how many there were… six, maybe seven? I washed all this goodness down With a rich milkshake, chocolatey brown. My friend ordered PB& Strawberry J, Yum! Oh, there isn’t much left to say… But MmmMMmMMmmMMmmmmMMmmmmmm. Lastly, biodegradable utensils… Which means reducing waste in landfills! Any restaurant that cares about Mama Nature is a-okay. Happy Earth Day!

*Thumbs up* I’ve got a waffle maker machine at home and I can make these same exact waffle sandwiches… but they don’t taste as good as Bruxie. *Thumbs down* I’ve got a waffle maker machine at home and I can make these same exact waffle sandwiches… but I’m too frickin’ lazy most of the time.

So there’s all this hype about Bruxie and their delicious waffles and such, enough so to open another location down in RSM. WELL I’LLBETHEJUDGEOFTHAT. The RSM location has ample indoor seating, and has more of a restaurant feel than the Orange location. It’s clean and well maintained, though with only a few booths, and open backed seating, it does give off the impression of, «eat your delicious food and move along sir.» The food here was cooked well, and much the same as the Orange location. Trina D. and I ordered the classic Chicken n’ Waffle, the Pastrami, and upon demolishing them in rapid succession, decided that we weren’t fat enough yet. We then decided on the Irish Nachos, which were simple in design, but perfect in execution. The Boars Head Pastrami( ) is wonderful with the waffle, the Chicken and Waffle with some Sriracha ketchup was a great spicy sweet,( ) and the Irish Nachos( ) are a straight up savory smackdown. If you’re in the area, no need to drive all the way up to Orange, this Bruxie location delivers!

What more can I say about Bruxie, other than this new location has loads of indoor seating. They still have delicious waffle sandwiches. I really enjoy the food at Bruxie and my friend Drew M. accompanied me to this RSM location to cheer me up. I’ve been to the Orange location several times but this was my first trip to the RSM location since it opened. The space is well utilized. I really like the indoor seating as opposed to the outdoor setup they have in Orange. The food is the same. However, the specials at each location vary so be sure to check their online menu to see what is offered at each. We went with the favorites: chicken & waffle, hot pastrami, and Irish nachos. I also enjoyed the Belgian hot chocolate while Drew had the grape soda which is made with cane sugar. I really enjoy the consistency of service and food at Bruxie and will be back soon.

Such a cool new and trendy place. Who knew a place dedicated to all sorts of waffle dishes would be so popular! Most of my visits have occurred on weekends around brunch time, and it’s usually been pretty packed. Seating can be pretty difficult at times because of it being so crowded. So far, I’ve tried: Strawberry cheesecake? I think that’s what it was called Crème brûlée Green eggs & ham Ogura bruxie Honestly, I thought they were all pretty decent, but I didn’t fall madly in love with any of them. Out of the ones I’ve tried, I think the crème brûlée was probably my favorite. Green eggs and ham comes in a close second. My boyfriend absolutely LOVES the Bruxie burger and gets it every time we go. TIP: They also have shakes and delicious beverages, but I reeeally wouldn’t recommend getting a heavy waffle dish + a shake. I did that my first time and it was WAY too much for me to handle. My boyfriend and I left Bruxie almost sick to our stomachs because it was just too much for us to handle. I highly recommend the Wisconsin frozen custard! It’s super delicious and not too heavy or too sweet! :) The staff are a little TOO helpful at this location. My boyfriend said one time he came with his friends, and they had been asked«How’s everything going?» from employees nearly every single minute they had been there. I’m sure the employees are trained to check up on the customers frequently, but they do it so often that it’s really too much and ends up being pretty annoying. Just let us eat in peace! Come back in ten minutes, not ten seconds… Other than that, I’ve been pretty pleased with Bruxie! It’s a nice change from your usual chain restaurants in the RSM area.

I was happy to hear that Bruxie had come to Rancho Santa Margarita! I’ve been here 3 times now, and they always seem to be busy with happy customers. I’ve had their buttermilk fried chicken waffle sandwich with maple syrup, pastrami with gruyère cheese waffle sandwich and the patty melt waffle sandwich(see photos I posted). They all fall in the«awesome» category, and deservingly so. The service here is eager and friendly. Basically you stand in line to order your food and then sit down at a table. If the line gets long, the staff walks down the line to give you a menu so you can start looking at their selections and ask any questions. You never have to wait too long for your food. This location is much bigger than their tiny location in Orange, but the food is all the same. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s very clean with plenty of parking since they are located in a shopping area next to Kohls.

The original Bruxie location in Orange, CA is the most reviewed restaurant in all of Unilocal US. I think I am one of the few people in Southern CA that had not yet tried their famous waffle sandwiches until yesterday. I can now say I have experienced the deliciousness that is Bruxie, now that they have opened a new location in Rancho Santa Margarita. The newest Bruxie is located in a fairly large shopping center in Rancho Santa Margarita close to Kohl’s. There is plenty of parking here which is great. This location of Bruxie can accommodate up to 90 people with their indoor and outdoor seating. With some many reviews read, I was in a quandary about what type of waffle sandwich to order here. We were greeted outside by one of the employees with presented us with menus and who told us a bit about the restaurant and explained their specials for that day on the menu board. They have a lot of seasonal specials with strawberries currently. I decided to go with the Strawberry Cheesecake waffle. The deliciously light and perfectly cooked waffles sandwiched cream cheese, graham cracker crumbs and fresh strawberries with sweetened purée in the middle. I cannot express how yummy this was. A light dusting of powder sugar added a bit of sweetness to the sandwich. It was so good. BF got the most popular Bruxie sandwich which is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffle. Could not believe the size of the chicken breast when it came out. For a dollar more you can add Vermont maple syrup. The little bottle of syrup made a cute keepsake. The delicious waffle with the Vermont maple syrup and deliciously seasoned fried chicken made for a yummy sweet and savory combo. The staff here is fabulous. From the greeter to the counter workers to the many staff members who came to check on us at out table, we had a great breakfast. Our bill with our two waffle sandwiches and two large Peet’s coffees came to $ 20 which was really reasonable. We are so lucky to have three Bruxie locations in Orange County now. Pretty dangerous for us that this new location is only 7 miles from where we live ;)

I came on opening day and boy was the line long! I felt bad for round table pizza next door! This Bruxie is rather large compared to the original one in Orange. I still have not gone to the Brea one, but I would imagine the size is comparable, which is good because Bruxie has made a name for itself around the OC area. So what hasn’t already been said in my Bruxie review for the one in OC? Nothing! Light belgian waffle, delicious creations, okay price. It’s unique & tasty! Stand in line, you won’t be disappointed. First timers, just get the buttermilk chicken waffle with maple syrup & spicy syrup. From there on, explore the delicious menu ^_^ You’ll be a happy camper.

There was a free preview night at this location yesterday, and, lucky me, my little lady got a ticket for us. It was only running for an hour, so the massive line wasn’t a big surprise when we arrived. As expected, everything tonight was going to be free since they weren’t technically open. I read that as «time to gorge yourself like a pre-diabetic child». And, indeed, I did. We decided to get 2 Bruxie sandwiches and split them, so I got the Bruxie Burger, and my chick got the Fried Chicken with maple syrup. We both got shakes, too(hey, I can afford the caloric hit) — chocolate banana for me, Belgian chocolate for her. The cashier gave us a table # thing that the waitresses can use to track where we’re at, rather than them seeing the # propped up. Technology is fascinating stuff. I got my burger sans mayo, but even with it I don’t know if it would have tasted any different than what it is — a burger on a waffle. The waffle isn’t exactly made to fit your burger; it’s just a big-ass waffle folded in half over whatever is inside. For a burger, this is good but not great. It did, however, work wonders for the fried chicken. It’s no wonder that’s their most popular item because it’s tasty as hell, especially with the maple syrup. The chicken was moist and juicy, with a small amount of cabbage(or a very light cole slaw) in there for an added crunch, and to balance out the flavors. Not sure if I’d consider this a warning, but as delicious as my chocolate banana shake was — and it was really tasty — I’m not sure it was a great idea to pair it with a burger wrapped in a waffle. You know how it can be very easy to have too much of a good thing? This was one of those times. And, yes, I paid for it later. Dearly. But I’ll be back. The menu is full of awesome items, although most of them are designed to clog your arteries and leave you with a lifetime of diabeetus(imagine Wilford Brimley saying it).

OMG, now I can get my Bruxie fix in South County. –Delicious waffles(both savory and sweet) –Amazing artisan shakes(thick and custardly with locally sourced fruits) –Large open location with mist-ers! Perfect for summertime… now if only they had lobster tanks…
