Awesome little spot! Great soups and good selection! They’re salads and sandwiches are super tasty too. My favorite spot, especially on a rainy day.

Ate here today, very good food and awesome service. If you like good soups and sandwiches this is the place to go.

I’ve been here four or five times for sandwiches. Consistently solid.

Unappealing seating, with trash and dirty dishes in full view. Soup was lukewarm only; the server did offer to replace it «with a warmer soup» but I declined. Ham-and-cheese sandwich was exactly that — meat and cheese ONLY. The wax paper serving ‘plate’ was greasy within seconds. Too many other options around for me to come back here.

Great soup and sandwich shop! Had the tomatoes soup and it’s to die for, and the grilled pannini style sandwiches really hit the spot on a cold rainy day.

I ate here a while back(a couple month ago) and the service was exceptional and the food delicious. I ordered the Mezza and the Tomato soup for lunch I can’t say anything negative about it. I was just fantastic. Ok that’s not true I think it was a little spendy for Soup and Sandwich, but I’ll be back!

Love their menu. Everything tasted very fresh. The soup was nice, popping with color and flavor. The grilled cheese I got could have been toasted longer. Great space to take a lunch break; it’s a small space, but it didn’t feel that way. I’ll be back!

Good quiet lunch spot. Good selection of soups and excellent sandwiches. The Piper was absolutely delicious with Hatch chiles and cheeses. The tortilla soup was good but not great. Of note, the soup did not seem overly salty which is nice to see. I’ll be back!

So full disclosure, I worked here for about a year back in 2013. That being said, when I have a particularly crummy day, I drive across town to the Pearl location for a bowl of tortilla soup with the works. That’s more than most people can say for restaurants where they were previously employed! Tonight it was particularly busy, but the one guy on staff seemed calm and collected; despite the huge group that had come in and commandeered all of the available tables. He got my order right away and was just as quick getting my bowl of soup out to me. Bummed that avocado is extra these days, but it makes sense. Props! The shop looks great. Now if only there were a location on the East side…

Hit & miss with the quality. Slow orders. And the melties can be overly grilled and at times spot on. Unsure what the the cause of the ups and downs are but far less likely to return… as there are better options near by. If the recipes & prep can be more consistent, may retry again. Good luck.

Very erratic in terms of quality depending on who is working. Soups can be ok depending on flavors avaialble. Their«exotic» flavors are pretty weird tasting. For instance, thai curry probably shouldn’t be converted into a soup by white people. The sandwiches are nothing special, just make one yourself at home. Also the entire place smells like a grease trap and you will to after leaving.

Surprisingly… good salads! I feel like I have to try the soup before I can fully evaluate this establishment. If I’m in the neighborhood I’ll be back.

The Rachel sandwich was great! Bread was toasted to perfection, right amount of dressing, meat quality was great. The natural root beer is a treat as well. If you need a quick sandwich fix, this is your spot!

We searched for a good soup place in the Pearl District and Súpa is what came up. We stopped in at 1PM on a Sunday and there were only two other parties in the place. Despite this, the two people working behind the counter seemed oblivious to us and the people who came in after us, despite our standing at the counter. The people behind us left when the workers couldn’t be bothered; we stuck it out for a full ten minutes before they finally got around to taking our order. I had tortilla soup with a «Radix» sandwich – cheese, bacon and caramelized onions. The soup was cold and portion small; the onions on the sandwich were more lightly sautéed than caramelized. My wife liked her sandwich and salad, but was suspicious of the cleanliness behind the counter. We likely won’t be back. Too bad… The place sounded promising.

Lunch hour, 1 employee. Immediate Red flag. Waited 10 minutes to order a soup and sandwich combo with no line. Was excited about a toasty bowl of soup. Never mind. Butternut squash Soup was the consistency of baby food and tepid, with no flavor. The sandwich was suppose to have chicken, but they were out. So, dubbed for turkey after paying and received a sandwich that was more boring what I could get from a grab-and-go stand at the airport. Finally, it wasn’t clean and the benches are dingy and uncomfortable. One year ago, we had a great lunch. Puberty isn’t going well.

Somehow I spent(after tip) like $ 18 on soup and a sandwich, but dang if it wasn’t good. I’m a sucker for grilled cheese, and while I grew up on Velveeta melted between two slices of wonderbread(really, mom?), today I appreciate something a little finer. I opted for their #8, called The Lizzie: chevre, creamy havarti and shaved green apple, all drizzled with wild honey. Because a meal is not a meal without meat, I added black forest ham. And since their soup of the day was tomato basil, which is perfect for dunking your melty, I had to get a bowl of that too. Suddenly I had a very big tab, but also a very happy belly. Sure, there was some sticker shock, but I’ll be back to try more of their menu items. The staff was very friendly, but they seemed a bit frazzled. It wasn’t all that busy, but they were running around pretty franticly. There were a TON of dirty dishes, which isn’t too appealing when you have a clear view of the entire operation. They had two people on staff. I’d suggest three.

Admittedly, I was very disappointed in the Ordo Classic Melt. This spin off of a grilled cheese comes with aged cheddar, creamy havarti, baby Swiss, and pesto aoli. I love a grilled cheese, but for 7 bucks, I had higher expectations. The cheese combo was not my favorite and the pesto aoli was borderline rancid. I will give it a second shot, but today, Supa fell short

This has been my MOSTFAVORITE spot for lunch… Well I’d come here for dinners & breakfasts too… If I don’t have to go home and cook :) They always have a vegetarian or vegan options which is always a plus … Though my favorite is Lizzy & the mushroom soup, though to tell the truth everything in the menu has been fabulous you just have to find the one!

Went here for the first time for ‘Taste of Pearl’ event and met the owner of Supa! The soup were so tasty, we kept coming back for their delicious soup and sandwiches. The Hungarian and coconut Thai soups and their deluxe melties are my favorite. This is a good place for a weekday lunch or get lunch to-go. Would recommend trying this place out at least once in the Pearl. They opened another one in the US Bancorp Tower Plaza, the environment is more for business customers.

ATMOSPHERE: The place is really… REALLY small. As far as places guests can go inside, it’s just a long, narrow aisle from the front door to the restroom in the back. In that aisle, there is a space for people to line up, and the other half of that space is small tables and seating. If someone wanted to get by, it’s a bit of a tight, toocloseforcomfort, fit… but manageable. They decorate simply, but it’s cute. There’s chalkboard soup recipes on the wall, high up by the ceiling. They have framed pictures of close ups of food. The restroom door is chalkboard paint, and it has an R on it. They have a station by it to sort your dishes and trash. SERVICE: They had to have been short staffed. Someone must have called out… or something. Could they have been having an off day? I don’t know, but the two people working we’re quite a mess. They were all over the place, and customers were complaining how long it was taking for they’re food to be made and how they’re order was lost, etc. I don’t think they expected this many people to show up. One of my friends ordered food, and I ordered two people after her. She ate pretty slow, and she still finished her food before I even received mine. Although it was kind of a mess, the two employees were very nice and apologetic for the wait. Because of that, I would go back to this place to give them a second chance. Oh, and because… FOOD: I like their food. I am a complete sucker for sandwiches and soup and salad. I love ½ sandwiches and ½ soup or ½ salad combos. For $ 8, I got a cup of tortilla soup with tortilla chips, cheese, and sour cream, and a «Mezza» sandwich with artichokes, cheese, tomatoes, etc. They were both great. When you check in with Unilocal, you get a free non-alcoholic beverage, and they only have bottled beverages to choose from like root beer, iced tea, and coconut water.

I loved supá the first time I tried it with a friend months ago. Noticed they were under staffed the first time but the food was so good I just decided to try it again. I ordered 2 melties and a cup of tomato bisque. They were out f tomato bisque(which seems unacceptable for a grilled cheese place) so I ordered a pasta salad instead. They were out if that too. So I just went without the side. As I sat down I was informed they were out of one of the cheeses on my sandwiches. And now as I speak I’m watching the 1 worker here give 2 ladies who ordered after me their food. What a terrible experience. Won’t be back again. ***update**** my order was actually made first… He just gave my order to the 2 ladies and in turn gave me their order. I am now waiting for him to make me the correct order to-go. Having been in the service industry for over 11 years, I am actually baffled at the lack of apology or effort to regain my business. This place sucks.

I feel as though I may have cheated the system by stacking on a Groupon and a free non-alcoholic beverage with checking in to get a full meal for 2 for $ 12 but it is what it is, right? Bottom line — it was completely worth the visit with the deals but I would not return to pay full price. My boyfriend suggested we go to this place the day after I got my bottom wisdom teeth pulled since I was struggling to eat anything really. And then I was like hey, I think I’ve seen a Groupon for that place. Lo and behold, the Groupon was still there and off we went! The girl at the counter let us try some of the soups before choosing so that was nice. My boyfriend and I both got a bowl of soup. I went with the tomato soup with chevre. I was quite impressed I could taste the chevre in there. My boyfriend went with the Hungarian mushroom which he said tasted different than when he sampled it. Perhaps she didn’t stir it as well when she was pouring us the sample, who knows. Next we split a Radix, which is a deluxe meltie(hot pressed sandwich), containing bacon, gouda and caramelized onion. Overall, it was a fine sandwich and it went great with my tomato soup but I was quite disappointed in the bacon. It was a lot like bacon bits you find in a salad bar while I was expecting some nice meaty bacon strips. Ahh well, it was still worth it — see bottom line.

Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? Short staffed when we walked in, but the woman behind the counter had only been working for a couple weeks and totally rocked it and gave amazing customer service. One star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Pretty typical for any city. One sar. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Pretty tasty, but nothing spectacular. We got a couple sandwiches, salad, beers, and sodas. One star. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Considering how many alternatives are nearby, I’d likely go somewhere else.

For those of you who constantly look for gems amongst the treasure of Portland, set your sights here for a spell. It is exactly what you want out of a boutique soup café. Cozy, new age, and fucking great. Jae is the owner and I had the luxury of meeting and talking with her. I sampled all the soups, which were decadent as shit. I ended up getting the veggie cold sandwich, which on a hot day, really hit the spot. This is an excellent place for a date, or even just an outing with bros. I totally recommend this place for anyone who doesn’t want to break the bank and wants excellent service complemented by delicious and nutritious food.

I’m not sure what the big deal is about this place. My hearty chicken soup is tasty enough, but I didn’t feel like I would go out of my way to get this specific version of it. The pastrami sandwich was also adequate, but nothing mind blowing. Maybe I just ordered the wrong items? You’ll pay Pearl prices given the location. Also expect self-service, which is almost the standard for most PDX establishments. You might experience a distracted cashier as I did. Yeah, it wasn’t busy, but fiddling on your personal phone while I’m deciding on my order? Ugh. At least the cook was on-point.
