Closed. Just stopped by for a slice and they are gone. Called the owner and he confirmed that they are no longer open. :-(

This place was my favorite pizza place in Portland. Heads up, they are no longer at D Street Noshery.

This place is great. The sausage pizza has a wonderful mild spice to it and the pepperoni is amazing. The slices are a nice large portion and the service is awesome. I would definitely recommend giving slice a try.

I had a slice of margharita pizza and it was decent. I can’t say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had, but for $ 3.50 it did the trick. The staff were really friendly and apparently gave me «extra» basil on my slice. I would probably return if I was in the area, but I wouldn’t trek across town for it.

Slice Brick Oven Pizza has your usual American classic pizzas, such as cheese and pepperoni; the Italian classics like the Margherita; and other specialty pizzas… can you say Truffle Pie? They can make whole pies of12 inches or 16 inches, but they also serve pizza slices(although the specialty pizzas are not sold by the slice). A friend and I shared a slice of Margherita pizza($ 3.50). It was good, but not the best. I really enjoyed the slightly charred crust that a brick oven will give a pizza. The fresh basil was cut chiffonade-style. The blend of basil, mozzarella, and pizza sauce reinforced why whomever invented the Margherita was a genius. The pizza crust(at least on our slice) was extremely thin and soggy in the middle, so it was a challenge to fold it up and take a bite. I would have wanted real tomato slices on this pizza. Not a bad pizza, but not the best, either.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, I was pretty amped to see that they did Hawaiian by the slice!

Sign of good brick oven or firewood baked pizza — the crust. Saw other reviews and made a short pilgrimage to have a slice of pie for lunch with my wife. We are pizza snobs and we always go for the margherita to feed the purist at heart. The snipped from the plant basil was what started our pizza experience. Had some great conversation with the owner/chef and customer service is personable and friendly. We got our pizza and sat down. With tandem and well timed bites we looked at each other and our eyes instantly reviewed the pizza to each other. It was great! The smokiness of the crust had a good balance of crisp, bite and chewiness to handle texture junkies. The sauce was light and flavorful with beautiful islands of melted mozzarella strategically linking the ribbons of basil. The backbone of the pizza — the ‘Pizza Bone’ was also very good. We will be back and I say if you are tired of waiting for those ‘other guys’ to open up make this your stop instead.

Pretty freaking good pizza. This is my favorite style of pizza — super thin crust, charred flavor, not super cheesy or greasy. We had the margarita and it was really excellent — I loved the flavor of the sauce. The only thing that bugged me was that you pay restaurant-level prices here. And without the bathrooms, comfy booths, alcohol, and other stuff that I always figure I’m paying for when I eat at a restaurant.

Yay! I finally found the best pizza in Portland where I don’t have to wait 2 hours for a pie while I put up with a bunch of snotty attitudes. Move over, Ken’s and Apizza. Slice is gonna roll right over you.

I can only speak of the«arugala» pizza they had at EatMobile 2011, but It was amazing. I wanted a whole pizza to myself! I’m usually not a pizza fan, but with the fresh, spicy greens — it was delicious! This was my first venture to EatMobile, but it was such a great opportunity to try different food carts and getting an idea of their food before you drop $ 7 – 8 on a meal, only to realize you hate it. I’ll definitely be heading down to Slice Brick Oven Pizza to eat more!

I had a super strong craving for Apizza Scholls or Kens today but needed pizza for lunch. Since those two aren’t open until later I did a thorough search for something that might be able to do the job. While not quite as good as Apizza Scholls, this place definitely satisfied my craving for something similar. Very impressive for a food cart! We had the arugala with pancetta($ 22 for the large) and the margarita($ 12 for the medium). I recommend either but the arugala with pancetta was definitely noteworthy. The owners are incredibly nice, humble, and very proud of constructing quality pies. They even let me come in and check out the brick oven. Also, there’s an enclosed tent with several picnic tables and propane heaters. It’s the brick oven that gave the crust a perfect crispiness. Even though the crust is fairly thin, it still had enough crisp so that my slice didn’t flop down. Crust is the most important part of the pizza for me and these get 4 of 5 stars. Very good. The toppings were awesome. Arugala was super fresh and went very well with the pancetta. The tomato sauce had just enough substance and was applied perfectly. Mozzarella was fresh. Better than A-Scholls or Kens? No. But you’re not going to do better than this place for lunch and you don’t have to wait an hour for a table and pie. Also, I definitely recommend over Pyro. I’ll absolutely be coming back.

I’ve had enough trouble finding pie this good in a restaurant. It has no business whatsoever coming out of a bus. Outstanding, crisp crust with just a bit of salt to it. Well portioned toppings. Great sauce. Best I’ve had in PDX in the last 12 years.

Very good, freshly made pizza with quality ingredients. Just tried the basic margherita… fresh mozzarella, homemade sauce that wasn’t too strong but had a nice slightly sweet flavor, crisp sourdough thin crust, pieces of just-torn basil sprinkled on top. Came bubbling hot out of the oven, great on this rainy/snowy day in Portland. Chef Nak was extremely friendly and makes an excellent pizza!

I haven’t had plain cheese pizza for years, but my neighbor raved and raved about the slice of cheese she had here. Finally got a whole cheese pizza this afternoon, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! A new favorite for sure!
