Im from the east coast and grew up on New Haven pizza. That being said… amazing pie here.

First time here last night. I always drive by and it looks busy, so figured my wife and I would try it. We sat at the bar and found a seat immediately. Very cool atmosphere and it was busy. We shared the Meatball and the Soppresatta pizza. Our dinner came within five minutes of ordering and was amazing. Might be our new favorite Italian restaurant in PDX. Service was excellent. We were too stuffed for dessert, but it sounded amazing. We will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Loved this restaurant! Great vibe. We sat at the bar by the incredible wood fired oven. First of all, that oven is awesome. But we also got to talk to both the pizza chefs — they were so down to earth and delightful. The pizza — we got the spinach and smoked chicken — yummy! My husband wanted to go back for breakfast. Seriously. The pasta looked wonderful too. We will definately be back — for both the pizza and to try the pasta.

We love this place. Especially their happy hour. The menu rotates and have something for everyone. We had padron peppers, the arancini and a salad to start. All delicious. Happy hor cocktails are excellent too. The service is very prompt, professional and personable. The only gripe we had was the way they serve their pizza. The scissor gimmick didn’t work with us. I’d prefer them slice our pizza for us and it just seemed kitschy. We will be back.

The vibe is chic Portland Italian winery hipster, and the food is BOMB. I got some grilled calamari(thank you for not frying it!) that came with some very good cannellini beans in some tomatoey broth, another aide of the same cannellini beans, and an insalata di polpo(octopus!) The octopus was good, not overdone like rubber. I felt neutral about having chunks of boiled potato in there, even though I think that’s the traditional recipe. I was sharing those three things, and we got a bowl of gnocchi on the side(basically a bowl of butter held together by a few molecules of potato gluten). I also got a Rosemary sour – good! All the flavors were pretty subtle. We had a group of 6 and a baby and we all fit pretty comfortably in a big big booth, which almost felt like a private room.

So tired of service with an attitude. Our server Shannon was as friendly as a chapped ass. Good pizza.

Excellent place! Lovely rustic vibe. Nonintrusive service. Mussels appetizer was delicious! Caesar salad was incredibly fresh. I ordered the Pasta with Salmon and my brother had the Pasta Ragout. Served hot and perfectly portioned in medium sized bowls. I had a perfectly made Manhattan and bro had a Pear Toddy that was wonderful!

Ordered a margarita pizza and Caesar salad via Caviar. Both items were delicious. I also added a side of anchovies with my salad but put them on my pizza instead :) That’s actually really the only reason I ordered the salad.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Wish you could order a side of anchovies on their own without having to order the salad. That or there should be an option to add them to the pizzas. Just sayin. All in all, really good experience.

We had the Lardo excuse me, «White pizza». The crust was thin and had a soda to sweet flavor, however is was dry as a croûton with no cheese or olive oil on this pie… just ugly winter tomatoes and three flecks of Lardo /pork on this pie. Lastly the pizza barely had any flavor… such a disappointment. House Chianti was nice. House salad was overdressed with way too much sour vinegar and stronger onions that even over powered the vinegar. The only truly great part of the meal was the Breakside Ipa we had to clean our pallet’s.

About to meet up with a friend for dinner on Friday and discovered the restaurant we planned to eat at was closed due to the chef having a flu. We didn’t have a Plan B but since she was near Division, I headed over in that direction. I was craving pizza and she suggested Cibo. She had been there for happy hour before, thought the food was decent, and didn’t think the wait would be too long. It was actually busy on a Friday night and I was quoted a 20 – 30 minutes wait, however, most likely sooner. I like that they take your phone number and call you when your table is ready so we went next door for some tea. We didn’t wait long when I got a the phone call that they had a seat for us. The host didn’t have good face recognition though – I could understand, I am sure there are too many customers to keep track of. Got a nice window table and the layout of restaurants allowed you to have a view of the whole space(bar, wood-fired oven). Friendly wait staff, my friend got an old fashioned then we ordered the Antipasto Board and the Soppressata Pizza to share. That was a pretty decent size Antipasto Board and only for $ 12. Normally, you get some smaller portions of assorted meat/cheese with condiments on a tiny charcuterie board… this thing was massive! Definitely worth it. The flavors of the pizza were delicious, I love the combination of spicy soppressata with the creamy ricotta and sweetness of the honey. I didn’t care for the crust, I would’ve liked it to be a little more crispy and slight charred – it was undercooked for me. Very filling, we had a lot of leftovers. The word I keep using is «decent» and it was A-OK. I probably would eat here again since it’s so close and there are other things I want to try but nothing stood out or was spectacular at this last visit, but we’ll see.

Walking in, the place is cute and service is friendly. You can grab a drink while you wait, and the bar has a decent amount of seating– otherwise the wait area is quite small and many end up waiting outside. The booths are comfy, and help drown some noise out. We tried a pizza, bread and salmon pasta. The pizza was good, with fresh tasting ingredients and good crust, though the amount of toppings on it was less than your typical pizza– I love basil and pepperoni, but both were sparse. Be warned, the pizza does not reheat well though– took some home and the crust reheated dry, limp and flavorless no matter what we did. The salmon pasta was decent but again the small amount of small salmon pieces were hard to find. Perhaps a better happy hour option than full dinner spot.

I want to start this off by saying this is just a review of their food. I thought the service is excellent. Unfortunately, most people tolerate bad service and good food other than the other way around. I went their during happy hour and got Margarita pizza. The pizza was ok, didn’t blow me away. It was soggy by the end of my meal. The cheese and toppings fell off pretty quick. It was $ 7, and that required 2 drinks(one each person). In comparison, Life of Pie is $ 5 and requires no drink purchase. Life Of Pie has a better crust and doesn’t get soggy as fast. Size is about the same. Is Cibo bad pizza? Not if you have no options. But in a place like Portland where pizza can be found on every block, Cibo unfortunately is mediocre, and in a city with a plethora of choices, that ranks them below average.

Love the happy hour food prices and drinks! Perfect place for a low key romantic dinner or a dinner out with friends. Kinda basic with a little flare. Mmm Mmm!

Stopped in twice now. First time we got thespecial of the evening which was peach and some other good stuff. I had to order some arugula to add to it, it was missing somehting. Good overall. The burger was… meh. The waiter said it was the best burger in portland… lies, or just distorted judgement. A few weeks later we hit up the happy hour because the big side walk sign advertises a $ 7 margarita pizza. Looked like a great deal. We got to the counter and ordered, but the bar maid pointed out that on the menu there are other purchases required to get that price on the pizza… That wasn’t on the sign… I was willing to let the false advertisement slide if they were willing to just sell me the pizza. She would not…” just order a soda its only $ 2″. Well I don’t indulge in the soda or the booze. I was really disappointed that the sign said nothing about minimum drinks. Bait and switch. Probably wont be coming back here. With better pizza options like a pizza scholes over on hawthorne.

The pizza is the best that I have had in Portland. I have tried various locations, and this place reminds me of my favorite Pizza restaurant in NYC. Cibo’s pizza is fresh, light, tasty, and balanced. Most importantly, their entire menu is competent and enticing. Ambiance is great, and their staff is professional and courteous. Definitely a gem!

A giant pizza just for me? A giant pizza just for me. Their pizzas are giant if you didn’t catch that. Easily three meals, but for me gone in two because it’s just as good when you microwave that baby up next day. Nothing to pick on whatsoever. Great crust(could only get better if it was cheese-filled), great sauce, great toppings, I mean, it’s a handmade, using-fresh-ingredients, gourmet, straight-from-the-oven, bigger-than-your-and-your-friend’s-face-combined pizza. What’s not to like? You get your own freaking pizza scissors to cut it up! Mi piace il cibo!

Came across this place after a few drinks and graving some food. Only tried the pizza but it was excellent! The early and late night happy hour menu gives you great options at reasonable prices. Cannot go wrong with fresh oven-fired pizza that you cut yourself with SCISSORS. You can make the pieces any size, shape or just fold it in half and start eating.

I would gladly give these guys a 5 star rating but I have really only come for happy hour. That said, their happy hour is amazing. Elegant, affordable and gourmet. $ 12.00 for an wood oven baked pizza and a glass of house red! Amen. I enjoy the playlist just as much. Everyone around me smiling and enjoying their own delicious time.

Okay seriously. Could be the best pizza I’ve ever had. I love the fact that you could sit at the bar and watch make it from scratch. The margarita! They have a true real wood and they cook each pizza to order. Ask for John to me. He knows how to hook you up… amazing skills. But beyond the food right now right to court. I love the big boost for encounters. And the staff is amazing! If you come between the hours 5:00PM and 6:00 pm you can get there Margherita pizza for seven Monday through Friday.

Cibo totally came to our rescue for Valentine’s Day dinner! We had taken our chances on another place not being busy, but it sure was, so we walked around to find another place. Cibo said our wait would only be about 25 minutes and was shorter than that. Their booths are super comfy and the décor is dim and cozy. We shared an antipasto board and some caesar salads. Those were good, but the highlights were the pizzas. My husband and I shared the special — fig, goat cheese, arugula, and prosciutto = YES. Our friends ordered the sopresetto and that was really amazing, too. Flavorful and a good kick of heat. I liked the scissors to cut the pizzas. I also tried some fantastic drinks — the rosemary sour which had gin, lillet blanc, lemon and rosemary syrup. This was refreshing and light. Loved it. I usually stay away from bourbon because it’s strong and I’m a weakling, but the Arbusto cocktail piqued my interest — Bulleit bourbon, cherry balsamic drinking vinegar, simple syrup and lemon. Hell yes. It was sour, fruity, and rich. All day.
