I came in to help a friend shop and ended up finding the little love seat of my dreams. Excellent selection, competitive prices and awesome staff. Joel was friendly and supportive and helped me figure out delivery logistics. Delivery was quick cheap and professional.

It was such a relief to walk into Lounge Lizard and see so much color! I was nosing around Craigs List when I saw a couple colorful armchairs connected to Lounge Lizard, so I decided to pop over and see what they had. To my delight, there were lamps, mirrors, chairs, tables, and a couch that almost ate me alive it was so comfortable. All vintage furniture in excellent condition and in such vivid colors. I’m tired of so many designers and suppliers thinking drab, mild colors are stylish. There is every kind of color at Lounge Lizard and someone will usually help you carry your new purchase out to the car.
There are a few more additions I need for my apartment, but I had to leave with a saffron corduroy rocking chair that my cats immediately covered in fur. They asked a fair price for it and there was a squeak in the springs, but nothing a little WD-​40 couldn’t wipe out.

Went here looking for a desk and loved the amount of options they had. Upon finding a desk and negotiating a fair price, I mentioned to the cashier that I was not in love with the color. I was then told that I could have the desk painted to any color of my choosing, as long as it was the color of an item displayed in the store for an extra fee bringing my total to $ 75. After my desk was not finished being painted by the original date agreed upon, it was delivered a couple days later for no extra charge!

Absolutely love this store, they get new items in every day and price everything to sell! The staff is extra friendly, five stars well deserved!

Great variety, wonderful items, affordable prices. I love the people there. I’ve gotten quite a few things there and have been really happy with them.

This is an amazing antique shop!!! The collection here is amazing. I purchased a Sputnik lamp that I am absolutely in love with! The shop owners were amazing and allowed my husband and I into their back room to check out some different items. They have two shops and both are mid century heaven!!!

his store Is amazing. They have 2 stores close to each other. The lamp and lampshade collection is the best. If they don’t have the lamp you want, you don’t need it. They know retro. The prices are fair. The furniture was wonderful today. I am sure it changes weekly. Great people… very helpful… great taste

Ok that’s more like 4 words from someone who can’t make up their mind on how super sweet this wonderland is.
We browsed this location and upon complimenting the owner (?) on how nice their merchandise is and well priced, (but we unfortunately didn’t find the piece that would work for us) he told us of their larger, newer store just down the street. (We DID find the piece we were looking for there)
Overall, if you like quirky mid-​century modern, lots of lighting options (most around $ 60−150ish), lots of painted furniture (average $ 200ish though there are smaller pieces I saw for around $ 30), lots of case goods and upholstered items at prices I could actually afford.

The prices here are much cheaper than most other vintage Portland shops. With the expansion, there is a very large selection of quality furniture (and lights.) The thing that earned this place the five stars, though, is the service. I had three items in mind that I wanted to buy, but I told the salesman I could only afford two. He asked me which three they were, and that he could make it a «package deal» that I could afford. I ended up saving a lot of money, so I went down to the original smaller location to see if there was anything else I wanted to get. While I was there the salesman that made me the deal at the other location came down just to tell the salesman there that I had just spent a bunch of money at the other location, so give me a discount on whatever I’m interested in!
It was a type of service that I’m really unaccustomed to here in Portland. Other businesses should take note as I’m certain to return here should I need anything else, or if any friends ask where they should go.

I try to stop by here whenever I am in Portland. They have a great selection and variety of furniture, lamps and other décor items. They also have fiberglass lamp shades that they produce themselves. And now there is even more variety in their larger expanded space a block up from the original location.
And for those few complaining about prices… considering that mid-​century furniture from the major designers or from Denmark goes for tens of thousands of dollars, Lounge Lizard offers an excellent and very affordable alternative for those looking for an authentic vintage look for their home.

Such cute vintage stuff! We just bought, a very reasonably priced, couch from them. The owners were so awesome, and helpful. I could’ve bought so many things there. We will be going back! Thank you lounge lizard!

Rarely do you find a vintage store in Portland focusing specifically on furniture and lighting. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of other vintage stores out there that have furniture and lighting. However, it’s mostly one-​offs. Someone will have a few couches, a few chairs, a few dining sets, a few lamps, etc. But I can’t think many places in Portland with the amount of floor space dedicated to furnishing your home with affordable, quality, quirky, weird, cool furniture.
Staff at Lounge Lizard is absolutely amazing, too. Travis, Christopher, Joel and the rest of the gang are super friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help you find what you’re looking for. Lots of inventory turn, too. Nothing stays in the store for all that long so it is always exiting and worthwhile to stop on back.

This place is like visiting a vintage yard sale. Selection isn’t huge but it’s worth a browse and you may find something you like!
There was a beautiful vanity I loved for $ 160 and I wanted it so much but I already have one and there’s no use for two! The man working there was friendly and knowledgeable and was explaining how he had just fixed it up.
They do deliver depending on how far you live.
I’ll be visiting again from time to time!

Lounge Lizard was fun to browse through. They sell a lot of repainted/​reupholstered furniture. Pink vanity tables, vintage dressers, you name it. I think what is striking about this shop are the lights hanging from the ceiling. Decorative and beautiful. Price wise… I would say it is comparable to many antique stores. But if we are comparing it to a thrift store thrift store… well, I’m gonna go ahead and say that it is a little pricy. But hey, maybe the store owners know the history of these vintage items that I merely see as functional items? Love how spacious and inviting this shop is!

Even though I could never afford anything from Lounge Lizard, I always like to stop in when we’re doing the Hawthorne vintage/​antique crawl, because they have such an interesting assortment of furniture, lamps, and housewares, all in great condition.
The store is fairly large and usually has several living-​room arrangements of couches, coffee tables, and chairs, as well as smaller pieces stashed all over. There’s plenty of art on the walls with a heavy emphasis on black velvet. I especially like the decorative lamps, which come in all colors and look festive hanging in clusters from the ceiling.
If you’re into mid-​century modern and/​or tiki stuff, you’ll find tons to love here, especially if you’re outfitting a home bar. They seem to know that most people are mainly there to window-​shop — I don’t think I’ve ever been greeted or asked if I need help, but that’s fine, since I’m just there to be a looky-​loo anyway.
A really fun store if you’re looking for just the right vintage piece, and the prices ensure that you get nice pieces in good shape.

When you visit Lounge Lizard, be sure to look up. They have an impressive assortment of vintage pendant lamps. Everything else is pretty standard vintage fare.
I did buy a cool rotary dial phone here years ago, though. I had one part replaced and it works great.

Usually I am more of a strict antique store purist. This felt more like a antique store than a thrift store. It is well curated, easy to shop and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a mixture of lighting, furniture and home décor. Most recently M and I picked up a really beautiful vintage wood office chair, a globe and a vintage desk lamp. The prices are reasonable but more expensive than big box thrift stores. You never know what you can find here, which is part of the fun.

A really fun place to browse and see the retro furniture, decorations, dishes, and clothing.
I like the way they hang a huge mish-​mash of lights all across the ceiling — they come in all sorts of styles and give this place a lively colorful feel:
Everything is also incredibly affordable. It made me sad that I was just visiting Portland and couldn’t buy any of the furniture for myself. My friend was totally eyeing this full bar (a semi-​circular wraparound bar made of solid wood, the top covered in ceramic tiles, even with that wooden bar for resting your feet across the bottom of the outer part) that was only $ 225.
