Little big burger is absolutely exactly what it sounds like. It’s a little burger with very big flavor. Absolutely delicious. Their truffle fries are perfect. Nice and crispy on the out and perfectly tender on the inside. My friend and I went there on the 28th and were absolutely shocked by how delicious the burgers were. We called it a must have. Another awesome thing about this place is that you get to see everything they are cooking. They have an open kitchen so you know exactly what’s going into your food and get to have he price of mind that it’s fresh. Also if you have never had a truffle fry they give you a taste to determine whether or not they are your type of thing. The only thing that have have made the experience even better was to be able to sit in the restaurant but sitting in our car

My 5 year old and I simply like this place… Its fast and not a lot of razzle dazzle. Just great fries and a little big burger… So there!

It would have been more stars if we knew the burgers were so small. Husband had to order 2 to get a normal sized restaurant burger. Flavor was good fries were great. Wish they also had gluten free buns.

Delicious burgers packed with flavor! They are a little on the smaller side but honestly that is perfect! The truffle fries are to die for, you must order some! A great place to stop if you are doing some shopping or just walking around the Alphabet District. Nice staff and nice atmosphere. Kind of like a Portland version of In N Out but better!

Burger was awesome. Fries were good. Reminded me of McDonald’s fries, which I love. Had a nice cold beer as well. However service and staff were disappointing. The cashier was not very friendly. He could care less where he was working. A smile or hello would be nice. The kitchen was visibly over it. It’s Saturday and I know it was busy, but don’t take that out on your clientele. I don’t appreciate my order being shoved and my ticket tossed at me. As if saying«thanks for spending your money here, now leave so we can start our side work». That’s not all. I don’t know what it is about Portland that attracts these«homeless», crust-kid travelers, but they’re everywhere. My girlfriend and I had the pleasure to sit next to one while we were eating here. He had nothing in front of him, just loitering. He smelled, was obviously high or unstable, talking to himself and visibly disruptive. The whole staff saw it and even looked annoyed, but no one spoke up or said anything. We finished our food and beer and left in a hurry. Dude was obnoxious and crazy, there was no point in saying something to him. However, if I worked at this place I would’ve had no problem going over to this guy and asking him to leave. First of all it was busy and seating was limited. Time to go now Sir. As an employee you are obligated to the guest who have spent money to make sure they have a good dining experience. The staff could give a shit and didn’t really want to get involved. I do digress. Those fries are what’s up!

Came here after friends from California claimed that their truffle fries are the best they’ve ever tasted. After having some pretty damn good truffle fries from a few places down in Los Angeles, I was pretty excited to see how these held up, so even though we went to brunch box for lunch and had already had burgers and fries, we stopped by this place to check out their truffle fries anyways. And let me tell you. They were. Amazing. I’ve had truffle fries from mmany other burger joints and they ranged from having a decent truffle after taste to having absolutely no truffle taste in them, but the fact that these seemed to burst with truffle oil made me think that they probably deep fry these in truffle oil when they make the fries. Their ketchup was also made in-house apparently and went amazingly with their truffle fries. They had both in-house ketchup and a special ‘fry sauce” which I suspect is just ketchup and mayo. Regardless, their fries are on point, and although I didn’t get to try their burgers I’m pretty sure this will be Oregon’s version of Umami Burger, and can’t wait to come back and try everything!

As the co-founder of the #tinyhands club I can tell you that there are some things my tiny little hands just can’t hold. I believe the philosopher Jewel understands my plight based off her lyrical wisdom«my hands are small, I know, but they’re not yours they are my own». Maybe I should see if she wants to get a burger sometime because these things fit in my tiny, little hands but have the flavor of a big burger AND delicious house ketchup. I’m hungry now. K bye!(This is the part where I would suggest we form a Jewel lyric discussion group but based off of my tweets on the topic getting absolutely NOTRACTION…)

Suprisingly delicious! The burger is kind of small but has great flavor and fills you up perfectly. The truffle fries are amazing! And try the fry sauce. It’s awesome!

Again zero stars would be nice. Fries were good. Nothing big about the burger. I asked for well done and it came out pretty pink. I really don’t understand why people can’t cook a burger all the way through when asked to, unless the business is in the business of trying to get people sick. They should just call it Pink Sliders.

They weren’t kidding with the name. This burger is definitely little(I could probably finish it in 2 bites), but packs a whole lot of flavor into a tiny package. The patty is a ¼ pound slice of Cascadia beef which looks really small when you first open it, but is super tender(even when it’s cooked to medium) and juicy. Truffle fries are a must have when you’re here, as well. Sidenote on the music — when I ate here, they were playing the likes of Big Sean, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar. As a SoCal native, I wasn’t expecting to get my share of West Coast hip-hop in Portland, but it definitely made me feel at home.

We stopped by here for a quick dinner before going to salt and straw. Their veggie burgers are really good, so are the truffle fries! Good portion sizes and definitely good for quick, fast meals.

I have a craving for a burger once in a while, so I go to Little Big Burger. The burgers can be in a lettuce wrap and the cheese options are exciting. The ketchup is delicious and they have a special sauce that makes the burgers more delicious. The meat is cooked medium rare, so its pink inside. Everytime I eat one, I want more. But I am totally satisfied. The truffle fries are delicious, and they are serving size is huge. Beer selection is impressive. The root beer floats are pretty awesome too.

I will certainly go back, but it just kinda rubs me the wrong way a bit. Maybe I am still getting used to some of the Portland customs. Of the times I have been there, I wasn’t sure if I could get a seat. It was a little easier this last time, but I was wondering a bit of we would be sitting on the curb eating our burgers. Also, the table that I did get was quite dirty and the trash was over flowing. That is probably a staffing issue. The staff also seemed a bit indifferent to customers. But, I give extra stars for having the courage to make a big tasting burger small. When I make a burger at home, there isn’t much of the cow left over. But, seeing that I am trying to consume a little less, these guys have the right formula. Keep the patty thick enough to stay juicy, yet retain the ¼ lb size. Pure genius. The truffle fries are quite good as well. The fry sauce and ketchup also make this place worth a trip. Lastly, I liked the music today. Sometimes I have gone to some hipster joints that have the angry misogynist rap going full speed and I just can’t enjoy the place. While I like a bit of old skool punk, I can see where others might find it unpleasant as well. But a little techno? Who could hate that entirely?

The burger was good, nothing amazing. I’d have another one but I won’t go out of my way for it. Price was fair, restaurant and washroom were clean.

My name is Joel and I am a Little Big Burger addict. My spouse works close to this LBB location and I find myself giving in and buying(1) their delectable fries with a hint of truffle oil, and(2) their goat cheese burger… almost every time I pick her up from work. The good news is their fries and burgers are not ginormous and they seem to be comprised of high-quality ingredients. Or is that bad news? These factors make it far too easy to justify frequent visits. It is safe to say I will be back again and again in coming years… Thanks for listening to my story and supporting me in my oh-so-scrumptious addiction. One very minor complaint: Sometimes, their music is obnoxious and a tad loud. I’m sure many visitors find it fun(or soothing?), but I find the music makes it tough to have a conversation without screaming at the top of my lungs. Thankfully, my mouth is usually too busy with food to make conversation feasible.

LBB lived up to its name for us – loved the fries, the bacon cheese burger, and the spicy homemade ketchup. Parking was a headache but the food made up for the hassle. If we’re back in the area, we’ll try it again.

I think Little Big Burger was made for me. I had never before been to a Little Big Burger before so when I received my burger with chevre on it, it was so very little! The perfectly sized hamburger for me. It’s enough to sate your hunger and not make you feel insanely full. Besides the adorable chevre burger, I also inhaled some truffle fries which were so addicting and wonderful! Along with my fat kid excursion, I also had a root beer float which went so perfectly with the truffle fries. I love the open seating and the option to sit up at the bar in front of the cooks or in a booth. Next time I won’t sit where the server is passing bags of to go orders… I was waiting for a bag of fries to explode over my head. I really wanted to go back but didn’t have enough time so I will have to be patient until I can head back to Portland(tears).

I don’t understand why people think these burgers are too expensive. This isn’t McD’s, you’re getting an actual delicious natural beef burger with quality cheese on a brioche bun. For $ 4.25. What world do you live in that this is too expensive? Sure, the burgers aren’t huge — but they’re filling. And they’re made by people in front of you, not in a factory. Is that not worth paying for? And they are DELICIOUS. Seriously. Add the fry sauce and homemade catsup to your burger too. Get some truffle fries, why not? This place is damn good and the people who work here are pleasant and the prices really are great for the quality you’re getting.

When I make the rare trip down to Portland I always come with a list of places I wanna try, and end up discarding any plans and spontaneously choosing restaurants/eateries. Which means my Portland dining experiences are always a hit or miss. But this place is a definite hit! I was craving a good hearty burger after eating some greasy Chinese food. I wasn’t even that hungry, but literally ended up inhaling my burger. They really are little big burgers. When I got my order, I ripped open my brown bag and was like«what the heck!!!» when I took out a wrapped burger the size of my palm(im a tiny person okay). But the patty is faaaaaaat and juicy. And the fries and the accompanying pink sauce is great!!! Good thing Seattle has Dick’s and red mill to hold me over until I get another chance to visit Little Big Burger. If you’re in town… Go, go, go!
