Delish! So happy we found this very simple yet super delicious burger spot while spending the weekend in Portland. Little Big Burger is definitely an above average fast food spot. Their food quality is amazing and made to order. The menu is just as simple as the restaurant itself but burst with flavor! My partner and I both got cheeseburgers(jalapeño) and added bacon with a side of truffle fries. Be sure to get the truffle fries, they are a must! Also, the price is super affordable and the serve BEER!

As a food blogger native to Portland, my experience was really disappointing, a total let-down. My burger was more on the raw side, my girlfriends burger, who ordered hers well done, was equally as rare. Bacon was forgotten on both our burgers, I didn’t get the extra cheese I ordered, hers had the onions on it that she asked not to have, and the workers were too concerned with their phones and each other and not concerned nearly enough about the food nor the table that we had to bus ourselves before sitting down to eat. Sincerely dissapointed.

It’s pretty good! Wish it was slightly less expensive and that the workers were nice! Burger is small and tasty, fries are good and plenty!

Little Big Burger has a very simple set up. They have a long counter to sit at that faces the grill and a few four top tables. You put in your order and take a number. The ambiance is minimalist with wall to wall windows. They have a limited item menu featuring the burger and fries. The burger with or without cheese or bacon, and the fries with or without truffle oil. That concludes the features, but it’s totally cool because what they do works. The fries were just about the closest to McDonald’s fries I have found, and I mean that in a good way. When you add the truffle oil they become about as addictive as cocaine. The burger was cooked as requested, and although the burger was small, it was packed with flavor. It had a very beefy taste with loads of black pepper that I loved. It was also salted well. We tried bacon on ours, and while the bacon was good, I felt it only distracted from the nice beef flavor. I would skip it next time. Their in house ketchup has a twist of spicy to it that I liked. This is a nice little burger stop. If you have a good appetite you could probably eat a couple of these burgers easily. The prices were average. I would certainly go back for a serious burger craving.

I so want to like this small menu joint. But the burger is fat and dry and the bun is fat and dry and not heated. And bleu cheese cold and globby It’s actually hard to get your mouth around the sandwich. Wouldn’t it be easy to cook the burger to medium(isn’t this the point of a thick burger vs. a griddle burger?) and grill the bun, then give the bleu cheese time to get at least a little oozy? And the fries were sooo salty that we threw out half the bag.

I’m typically a raving fan of little big burger but it’s clear that the branches are not uniformly managed… The service was poor(even to Portland standards.) The burgers were all undercooked and should’ve been cook standard to medium… The fries were way over salted, and mainly small broken pieces.

½ little and ½ big, as the name suggests, equals a pretty average small burger … even if it is just $ 4 at Little Big Burger. A big addition of Blue Cheese did little to save the little burger on a kind of dry bun. I held out more hope for the Truffle Fries to bring some big flavor, but actually was more disappointed with them than the burger. The pile of thin fries was very light on the truffle oil. Luckily, a can of Caldera IPA(nothing on tap) softened the letdown. Convenience to Salt & Straw or the bar next door are the main reasons I’ll be back or for you to try Little Big Burger.

I feel like I expected more from this. The portion for the price doesn’t add up. The burgers ARESMALL and they should give you 2 for the price! This place should be called Portland Sliders. The truffle fries were really good, I’ll give them that. If you’re visiting, go to Killer Burger… It’s SO good! Service was better too!

Fries? Freaking yes. I freaking love fries. But these are not your ordinary fries, these are truffle fries. They’re delicious. But, when we bought food, we took it over to Pine State to meet up with some friends, but the manager told me we could not be «Rockin’ Outside Food,» which was disappointing, but understandable. I mean we were freaking rockin’ that outside food pretty hard. The burgers were pretty little, but they were big as well. I enjoyed rockin’ that outside food, and would rock that outside food any day. TL;DR: Come here to rock some outside food.

Burgers are definitely above average, they definitely satisfy a burger craving. Not too greasy, with a nice char, and the meat has good flavor. The burgers are somewhat small, but the price is fair for the portion. If you are very hungry you could get two for 8.50 $. I appreciate that they don’t overcharge for the blue/chevre etc. cheeses. The service has always been very friendly, and if I don’t order a drink, they often give me a water without my having to ask, which is nice. I don’t do any very special requests(usually bleu w/lettuce wrap) but I haven’t had my order incorrect once so far, so no problems there. The only inconsistency I have run into is that sometimes ketchup is already on, sometimes it isn’t. I don’t care either way though. The bacon here is just ok, I usually skip it. Much better than killer burger in my opinion(though they have far less toppings) and a solid choice overall.

The food here is above average, definitely better than your typical fast food burger. The burgers are a bit on the small side, but they customize them to your liking and you get a choice of what cheese you want on your burger. I am a big fan of bleu cheese, and they had it on hand for my burger. Another big plus is that they serve beer and it’s cheap. Not as cheap as drinking at home, but they only serve cans to reduce costs. Their fries are also delicious, and they are sprinkled with truffle oil. They’re a bit too salty for my liking, but they go along great with the fry sauce they give you(If I remember correctly, it’s ketchup mixed with mayonnaise. Prices are also reasonable and you can get a burger, fries and a beer for under ten dollars. It’s also conveniently located in the Alberta Arts District though there are a few other locations throughout the Portland Metro area.

Our family has visited this location probably 4 times this spring/summer softball season. Our little trips start here and then across the street for some ice cream. Tonight the game ran a little long and we didn’t make it until 9:45 when we placed our order according to the receipt. There were probably 8 other orders in front of us, but the burgers and fries are always worth the wait. When our order was called at 9:57 we stared eating and talking about the night’s game. Halfway into our burgers, and just a few fries deep, obnoxiously loud rap music blared through the sound system startling our 8 month old baby to tears and causing a slightly older child with another family to cover his ears and let out piercingly loud screams. By this time, 10:02pm, our server(Beef was his name according to the receipt) began approaching patrons while giving them thumbs up and yelling over the music«AREYOUGOOD»? The people who were no longer eating took a hint and got up and left by the time the next song started and we rushed through our burger to get the angry baby out of there. I know too well the feeling of being stuck at work when a customer is taking their time, but I would never force them to flee them by assailing their eardrums. By 10:05 we we’re sitting outside the restaurant soothing an upset baby and eating fries out of the bag. Their burgers are pretty good but not good enough to be disrespected like that. We won’t be back. Side note: after everyone was gone the music was either turned off, or lowered enough that it wasn’t wasn’t reorganizing their brain cells.

Whenever I’m craving a cheeseburger, this is the place I go. I love that they offer different cheeses and even have a lettuce wrap option(at no extra charge). Not sure what others are talking about with the loud music, I could barely hear it this last visit. Maybe it’s because I showed up during normal business hours and didn’t force them to stick around after closing. Who knows.

They’re small but they pack a serious punch in your mouth. I was surprised at first when the burger showed up. I was like«Is this it?» Just a tiny little thing? I mean I went all out, I haven’t eaten anything all day. Pepper Jack Bacon Burger, truffle fries, and a tall beer. Then I took a bite. Now that burger, it bites back. Now here’s another thing. I hate ketchup. But their ketchup or catsup, makes me want to slather it all over their already awesome salty fries. The fries are just the right amount of tasty, the ratio of fat, salt, and sweet are balanced. But the fry sauce with a dollop of their trademark ketchup, it just supercharges it. One of the best fries I ever had. I’d definitely come back for the fries. The burger, it is good. It is up there with Shake Shack and proves that In N Out isn’t the end all of specialty burgers. Good things come in small packages.

Their burgers may be small, but they pack some serious flavor. Do yourself a favor and get the bacon and goat cheese add on! You’ll keel over in paradise once you taste that combination. And you can’t forget the truffle fries. They are fried perfectly to a crisp, and the truffle flavor is actually really apparent unlike some other places that boast the same. Overall, an awesome joint to get a no frills burger and fry meal.

I would probably give this a 3.5 stars, but I rounded up. The burger size is a problem for me… it’s more of an oversized slider than a real burger. However, the fact that there are cheese options is bomb. I went with the bleu cheese and it was fantastic. I freaking LOVED the truffle fries. They were the perfect crispiness and saltiness I was hoping for, and the special ketchup as well as the special sauce(I forget the name, but it was the Camden’s Catsup mixed with mayo) were perfect complements. I also squeezed the special sauce on every bite of my burger. There were heat lamp«fans»(they didn’t twirl) that warmed the space well, and the place was super clean. Can’t compare it to In-N-Out, but it was pretty darn good. BONUS: they are across the street from Salt & Straw so the lack of size in the burger can be equalized with a scoop of ice cream!

The burgers are always on point, the fries crispy and delicious, and can i get a what what for the ketchup game? The ketchup is a keeper, yea it might only be a condiment in most eyes but this stuff truly complements the fries and the burger. Sometimes i wonder if its the fries or the ketchup that shine. Regardless they make a delicious pairing. The ketchup is also sold to go. So if youre in love with it as i am, take a bottle home. The burgers are always on point, and theres a selection of caned beers for those who are inclined. When ever i have a fry fix or a burger fix this remains one of my top choices. Fast, simple, and conveneitne they deliver every time.

This LBB isn’t as stellar as the other locations, for whatever reason that may be. The service isn’t as great, the fries aren’t as truffle-y. You might be better off going to a different LBB if you want the full mouth-gasm experience. This one’s basically lackluster.

Chain fast-food burger and fries joint, I think it’s the Oregon’s version of In-N-Out. At this particular location, it is across from Salt and Straws Ice Cream shop in NE Alberta. Spacious, counter and table seating. Good for a quick lunch, dinner or late night with few friends. Menu as of Sept 2014: $ 4.25 Cheese burger with your option of 4 different cheeses $ 4 Hamburger $ 4 Veggie burger $ 2.75 Truffle fries $ 2 Fountain soda $ 3.75 Rootbeer Float *Homemade ketchup According to my bf, the burgers are small. I’ve only tried the truffle fries and I thought it was tasty with a VERY mild taste of truffle oil. I don’t think I would’ve been full from a burger if I was very hungry for dinner. And for $ 5, that’s not a good sign. Street and residential parking. I would try to find a spot 1 – 2 blocks away since it can be busy as you close up to it. I’m going to give it a 3.5 stars but I did enjoy the fact they have homemade spicy ketchup and cheap truffle fries.
