Kristina Raeleen Hair

I must say that meeting Kristina was the best thing that has ever happened to my hair! I am VERY hard to please and I can honestly say that I have just been barely ok with my hair color for years. I go to the best, most expensive places in Portland and Seattle… thinking that if I spend a lot of money then I will finally get what I want. Nope. Never happens. Until TODAY. You can look at my most recent review of a lukewarm experience I had in trying to go from brown to red at one of the higher end salons… I was not a happy camper. But I was unwilling to give up. I found Kristina here on Unilocal so I took the plunge.
Kristina listened to the whole back story on my hair woes and when I say she listened. she really really listened.
I have been trying for almost 6 months at 4 different salons to get this specific color I had in mind, and even though I have photos, it just never pans out.
It’s too dark, not red enough and just not really what I want.
I showed Kristina what I wanted and she said it would be easy and low and behold, it WAS. It was easy for HER because she is apparently some kind of genius.
The color was SPOT ON.
I never thought it would happen because I have to admit it was a complicated color — a sort of shimmering,/gold/copper/brownish look.
Not too brown, not too red, but still kind of red, not edgy, yet still very striking. yep…I am a picky girl and yet. she nailed it.
The color is amazing and stunning. It’s exactly the color of the photo I brought in.
When I walked out onto the street, I was turning some heads.
And to top it all off, the prices were so reasonable! AND best part… she never once tried to sell me a product (don’t you just love when your stylist spends the whole appointment trying to sell you stuff –icky) and the space is so quiet and cozy.
It is 3 floors up in a really hip building in the heart of the pearl. It reminds me of a cozy artsy apartment.

Yikes was this a bad pick. I went to see her for a consultation for hair extensions. I have very curly hair and she said she could match my hair and it would not be a problem. WRONG ! The hair extensions were nice but they didn’t match my hair. I let her put them in expecting she would curl them and style my hair. She did neither. I had to go to someone else just to get them cut so they at least could be folded into my hair style without sticking out. I came back a week later and asked for my money back and to have them taken out. She took them out and gave me half my money back. She gave me the extensions and told me to return them knowing full well I couldn’t. I looked them up and found she charged me $ 250.00 for $ 28.00 worth of extensions. So I have no extensions and am out $ 250.00. She’s cute and bubbly but not honest and not so interested in the client as she is in herself. Go to the Parlour Salon in St. John’s they will be honest and the person there use to do lots of extensions in when she worked in L.A. DO NOT TRUST KRISTINA !!
