I love love LOVE this spot. The mere thought of eating here makes my day better, without fail. This is a sweet location for a truck. The seating options are plentiful and covered. I have gone around 2pm both visits, and there has only been one or two other people on the large picnic tables. Both times I’ve gotten the Galbi Short Rib box. It comes with Kim Chee, Daikon Radish Sprouts and some other pickled goodness. Their Kim Chee is some of the best I’ve had in PDX, and I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Beaverton scoping out Korean spots! The rice is perfectly cooked and almost crunchy… YUM. The Galbi is rich, flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend always gets the Galbi Bibim Box, which comes with a lot of extra things like hot sauce, noodles and an egg. He loves it. I had the Bulgogi at an event that Kim Jong Grillin’ catered, and all I could say is «THISGLORIOUSFOODTASTESLIKEMEATCANDY!!!» Seriously… Meat Candy. Go check them out.

Dope dope dope dope dope. This food cart is dope. Not only is the food just effing amazing, but also the cart has it’s own seating area that is covered and protected from the elements. It’s really the ideal food cart setup. Check it out, folks. I pretty much exclusively get the Bibim Box, alternating between bulgogi and short rib as my protein. For $ 10/$ 12 you get a hefty box full of rice, korean bbq and fried egg. I will say that the spiciness level is a bit unpredictable, but it’s never been enough to scare me away, and I’m kind of a spice wuss. They advertise this menu item as ‘Portland’s favorite hangover cure’, but I think it cures more than that. It’ll cure a bad day, that’s for sure. Oh, they make bangin’ hotdogs!

This place is ridiculously great. If you’re apprehensive about trying Korean food, just do it, and get the bibim box. I had beef. I spent a year living in Korea and this is better than a lot of the food I had there.

This place… Yeah, this place can tickle my taste buds ANY day! This is the kind of place that I refer to as a «Super Trooper», in that if it hollered«WHOWANTS A MUSTACHERIDE!?» I would jump up and down saying OH, I DO I DO! That visual aside this place is solid. Tasty flavors and thoughtful combinations. Great simple short menu… seriously, as you know a short well thought out menu wins me over every time. They win on that front. I had the ribs, fatty and flavorful. My boo had the chicken, a touch of red kick sauce, yeeee haw! All in all, great portion size. Great food in your mouth. Nice little covered deck. Friendly helpful service and food that actually takes a little time to prepare… cuz you know, it’s real! Make a trek down to SE Division if it’s not your hood, take a blanket and go picnic up on tabor with the city view. Pro Tip: I highly recommend grabbing this for dinner but stopping off at the best old school Dairy Queen in the city just up the street for PREssert before heading up to Tabor for your picnic dinner :) Go get um Portland!

I’ve ordered from these guys using Amazon Prime Now delivery twice. They are awesome! The food is hot, the flavors are on point, the delivery guys are friendly, the prices are cheap, and it arrives in under an hour! What more can you ask for? Additionally, the boxes available on the menu are super filling. The bibim box has so much food that it stuffs me and even my boyfriend barely manages to finish it! I cannot praise these guys enough.

I found this place to be pretty cool. I got the bimbin box or something with bulgogi and it was good! They have a temporary shelter over the place so you can still enjoy your meal while Portland is being Portland. The guy working the window is a lot of fun and a nice guy and I was pleased. I awarded extra points for the hilarious restaurant name. I did confirm that this was indeed intentionally hilarious before awarding these points.

One of my favorite food carts in Portland. Really great quality Korean food. I recommend the bibim box with spicy pork, or the hot dog. The sesame bean sprouts are amazing. My only knock on this place is consistency. I’ve dealt with a noticeable difference in portions, as well as balance of ingredients in my boxes. It’s always been good, but sometimes a little unpredictable.

Straight fire! We’ve been looking for an authentic bibim bap bowl for quite some time and this delivers. Portion was very large and all the ingredients were flavorful alone or mixed traditionally. Highly recommend the bulgogi as the meat of choice.

The Bimbap box was wonderful! I love good Korean BBQ and this place has it. It’s as good as the little Mom and Pops that I’ve gone to but its in SE at a Food Cart. The menu is simple and direct. Their recipes are traditional and the japchae is sooo good! Seriously… what are you waiting for? For $ 10 you have a really good meal!

This place is bomb, that means tasty & legit! No pretense, ya know like if you just wanna eat kickin grub. Crispy seared meats, varied«pickles», tender sticky rice. What more do ya want? Big fan of the BiBim Box, full belly & right price.

Decided to stop by this food cart while out on a walk. I mean, how can we not stop by a place with such an awesome name? Anyway, we were not super hungry but wanted something to snack on so we decided to try their KJG Hot Dog. The snap on the hot dog was great and it was a nice contrast to the fluffy Bahn Mi baguette it was served on. There was a generous amount of kimchi mayo on the baguette which gave it a nice little kick and creaminess. To balance out the richness of the mayo and hot dog, they added sesame sprouts, daikon kimchi, and pickled mango to add a touch of acidity. Overall it was a very tasty hot dog. I would love to go back one day to try their Galbi or Bulgogi. Right next to the cart they had a little covered dining area where you can enjoy your food al fresco. Really affordable tasty food.

wow, my bimbap box was perfect. i was curious about this place as it has a high reputation and thankfully i was not disappointed. the bimpbap box was fairly Korean but unique in that it combines rice with noodles. the bulgogi beef was perfectly flavored and absolutely amazing. the kimichi, daikon and sprouts were super fresh too. i am going to start craving this food now.

If you don’t like this place, you are wrong. Ha But really. They make great Korean BBQ. If you like Korean BBQ, you’ll like Kim Jong grillin. It’s a very simple menu. And the dishes are simple as well. So as long as you weren’t expected something other than food cart made food in a box… You’ll love it. I mean, it’s still really fucking great. But it comes in a paper box. Just FYI. You want some meat? And some rice? And some Kimchee? And some other stuff maybe? That’s what they sell. I recommend everything on their menu.

Just get here. Find parking on the street and treat yourself to some delicious Korean food. The menu is simple. The food is made fresh. The service is not overly friendly(They are concerned about getting you a good quality product not blowing smoke up your but.) They have constantly been expanding and growing. I’m currently sitting in their patio area that they built just off their food truck.

I got Kim Job Grillin’ Caviar’d, so I can’t comment on the service, but boy was the food incredible! I got the Bibim Box with Bulgogi Beef, which was out of this world. Frankly I’m not very well versed in Korean BBQ, but this 1) Seemed absolutely perfect, and 2) Made me want to try more of the cuisine. The meat had a very deep flavor which paired perfectly with kimchi, and it was cooked perfectly. The rice was nearly as good as the beef, which is saying a lot — rarely do I find that the carb is one of a dish’s highlights. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Came here to get some korean food while I was in portland, and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by it! Not only was the food amazing quality, but the owner himself came out to sit and chat with me, which was amazingly nice of him, and after he told me about the long journey his food truck has gone through, I definitely wholeheartedly support this place and can only fhope for the best for him! If you’re really looking to treat yo’self then I’d say go wit the Bibim Box with any of their meat options. They are all delicious, and I will definitely be back next time I’m in portland!

Met up with a friend after she was done with an appointment in town – perfect timing, Kim Jong Grillin’ opens at noon and on the way to her next destination so it worked out perfectly. Plenty of street parking available despite the construction in the area and not difficult to spot the food cart with the large patio. You order and pick up your food at the window. There are lots of picnic tables to eat at. They have a very simple menu and we both got the Bibim Box with Galbi, hers without sprouts. For $ 10, you get Korean BBQ over Japchae and rice, fried egg on top, and assorted Kimchi. My friend admitted that she isn’t very diverse when it comes to food and she thought it was«bomb!» She was excited to able to eat a sunny-side up egg(couldn’t when she was pregnant) and didn’t care for the Kimchi but gave it a try. I thought the box was an explosion of flavors and texture, it was like a party in my mouth. The sweetness/smokey char of the beef, runny yolk, spicy and sourness of the fermented vegetables all worked so well together. Totally satisfied a craving. Friendly service and very laid back neighborhood environment. I grew up in the area and love that there are all these new options on Division where there wasn’t anything before.

Amazeballs! This place is off the chain good! We split a bulgogi bibim box for $ 10 and man is that a great deal for what you get. Like I said we split it and we’re both full when the meal sadly came to a finish. Hella rice, three different kimchis, noodles and a generous serving of bulgogi. This dish is packed with knockout flavor. I’m excited to try the spicy chicken next time around. Parking us kind of limited but the guy informed me there’s a second truck off 42nd& Killingworth right by our new place. We’ll definitely be visiting their second location. For what you get they prepare the food miraculously fast and it’s nice and hot when you get it. The workers were hella chill and very helpful. There’s some picnic tables there but not too many. If this place got like 4 groups at once they’d be outta space.

I went to the location on 47th and division which is a pretty non descript lot that contains the food truck. Loved the name of the truck(Kim Jong grill-un ha ha ha… Get it?) Anyways I got the spicy pork and it was absolutely delicious, the only thing is that I wish it was a little spicier but I have a pretty spicy palette. I enjoyed the sides of kimchi, pickled daikon strips and beam sprouts. Rice was a little on the soggy side which is how I like it. The portion sizes are definitely huge and good bang for your buck at $ 10. I’d recommend anybody who is looking for good Korean food to drop by! Only downside is that there’s no tables in the area to sit at.
