I LOVETHISPLACEMORETHANANYTHING. it is my goal to try everything on their menu and so far I’m 4 deep. It’s ALL good. Shout out to the Pork plate and the spicy beef bowl. It’s a damn steal and it’s amazing and filling. I’m going to come here every week for lunch I promise. And the people that work there are so nice in a genuine not trying to kiss my ass way and I appreciate that!

Food here’s a’ight. Skimpy yet yummy portions. It was served FAST! Better sized portions would bring up the rating one star for sure.

Their aloha bowl is decent but one time my rice was undercooked. While they’re nice enough, they are incredibly slow with their service, even when it’s not busy.

The food is great, but the service is terrible. Constantly out of something, slow to take your order and slow to cook. Plus, the gentlemen inside the trailer selling meat and customer dissatisfaction tend to be unkind. NaMu? More like No More For Me, Friend. Please see NoHo a few blocks away for better food and better service.

Usually get the Aloha Bowl, which is delicious(tofu, noodles, rice, ½ an avocado). Recently went on a beautiful Sunday evening, ordered same dish and after waiting 15 min was handed my order and told they had run out of avocado. I hate being this person but when ¼ of the dish is avocado you would think they would give you a heads up or a discount on a $ 8 bowl that is is vegan. I love supporting local food carts but will have to think hard about coming here again.

My daughter ordered the spicy beef bowl, while I had the bulgogi plate. They cost the same($ 10), only my plate had more food. Bowl was awfully small and had little meat and noodles. Plate is definitely a better value. Food was very good, but they were out of kimchee, which we both love, and pork, which caused me to rethink my order. Also, because they do prepare the food, it did take about 15 minutes, but we were in no hurry. We’d go back, but next time she’ll get a plate!

This place is alright… I got the BiBimBap and Bulgogi Cheese steak sandwich. BiBimBap was wayyy to spicy. And I’m pretty sure traditional Korean BiBimBap has some sort of meat in it… there was no meat. I gave the Bulgogi Cheese steak sandwich for my boyfriend that didn’t eat it until the next morning. His exact words, «Meat was delicious, but the rest of it was too soggy». Given that he ate this the next morning, totally understandable. One guy working here, so things are a bit slow. I wouldn’t come here again but it’s a nice place to try out.

I got the spicy beef noodle bowl. I think the proportion was kind of small compared to the display on the menu. I added siracha for more spiciness but I think how it was original was pretty spicy. The service was slow because there was only one person in the truck. Overall the food okay. Nothing special.

NAMU is a fusion of Hawaiian and Korean food. The pork platter at NAMU is one of the best pork dishes I have tasted. The pork is ridiculously tender and comes with avocado, rice, spinach, and kimchi. On the other hand, the pork is dosed with a lot of sauce. Unfortunately, I did not like it at all because it is bitter. As a result, I ended up eating below the top layer of the pork to avoid the sauce. I definitely recommend the dish but maybe ask for the sauce on the side unless you know you like it. If you are traveling the Portland area and looking for recommendations, please see

Korean & Hawaiian fusion? It was the only food truck here(part of the tidbit food pod) that sounded interesting. I LOVED my plate! $ 8 Gogi Breakfast Kalua style pork, 2 fried eggs, rice and sauce. This reminded me of Hawaii! I loved it. The sauce was soooooooo good. The pork was amazing. The guy was very nice and friendly. The wait was super long BUTWORTHIT!

Pretty meh Korean-American food served out of a really nice looking food truck. I got the chicken teriyaki plate and made it spicy. Their spicy sauce is delicious, at least cooked in to the chicken, but on the whole the dish could have used more sauce, it didn’t seem very teriyaki-ey at all and the chicken lacked moisture despite tasting good. The dish comes with rice(nothing special), pickled cucumber, kimchi, and that floppy green leaf that always comes with Korean food. The pickled cucumber was tangy and fresh and the leafy stuff was inoffensive if forgettable. The kimchi, on the other hand, was an affront to kimchi everywhere — none of the flavor had soaked in to the cabbage but it was still soggy, and the flavor itself was more smoky than spicy and congealed in pockets of straight, gritty spice. On the whole, I would look elsewhere for your Korean food cart needs.

3.5 stars. The bibimbap was okay – not super awesome, though. Nice staff and a decent option at the food carts on SE Division.

Good thing I like kimchi, because the pineapple pork fried rice I ordered was fried with it. So a little spicy but I finished it. All of it. It was made with pulled pork and the pineapple took some of the edge off the kimchi. Like other fried rice, the pulled pork looks like it’s left over from making other food and the«fried» part was a little over fried like it should be. Net-Net — unexpected but I liked it.

Was a little worried reading the reviews, but happy to say my bulgogi fix was met. Had the bulgogi plate which had rice, cucumber salad(pickled cukes), cooked spinach with sesame seeds, and kim chee. Large portion of bulgogi(I choose to add the spicy gochujang, which was not really spicy), ice cream scoop size of rice, and the additional veggies(my advice, skip the kim chee… different flavor than I like, and get double cucumber or spinach. Both of them were much better than the kim chee in my opinion). They were open Tuesday for lunch while a lot of the other food trucks were not. I’d happily come back to try some of their plates.

I love Hawaiian food. I also love Korean food. So when I saw this food cart, I was very excited to have both tastes in one. While Namu advertises a tasty sounding menu, it doesn’t deliver on flavor. I ordered the pineapple fried rice. The fried rice was also advertised to contain pork. When I received it, it looked wonderful. There were plenty of chunks of pineapple and what appeared to be kimchi but instead just tasted like boiled cabbage. Sadly, there were only a few shreds of pork in it. I could forgive the lack of pork if there were actual flavor in this rice. Anytime you have to add salt, condiments, or anything to enhance a dish especially one from a culture that has big bold flavors, it’s so disappointing. If you are going to have a food truck that sells foods of another culture, please make sure you know what you’re doing in order to properly represent that culture’s wonderful cuisine. One should never associate Hawaiian or Korean food with the word bland. You have a lovely food truck and interesting menu, please pump up the flavor and spices. We love local businesses here and we want you to succeed.

I ordered the spicy beef noodle bowl. It came in this small bowl where I had trouble mixing it, so I asked for a plate. They provided kindly and I thoroughly enjoyed this entrée. It had beef, cucumbers, spinach?, dicon?, and a sunny-side up egg. All drizzled in this sweet, savory, and spicy sauce! It was fabulous. I’d recommend ordering this! I believe this food truck area is slightly new. It’s in a great location with other amazing food trucks as well. Go check it out!

When I hit the Portland food truck scene, the only torturous thing involved was actually choosing what truck to get your food from. Stumbling on the amazing SE Division Street neighborhood was a revelation in itself; but the food truck pod was on a whole different level. There was everything from pizza, to salads, to waffle sandwiches, to Mexican, to bakeries, to green juices, to beer trucks. They even had 2 retail trucks! Once I tore myself away from the spectacle, I was able to focus on what lucky truck was going to get my dollars. Namu was the resounding winner. As you can see from the picture of my Vegan Bowl above, it was a mouthwatering fusion of plant-based delights. It included kim chee, sesame spinach, cucumber salad, avocado, kidney beans, choice of brown or white rice, and spicy coconut sauce. All this for only $ 5!!! Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. The cooks and servers were very friendly and there is a laid back vibe that permeates throughout the vicinity. There are plenty of benches to enjoy your bowl both near Namu’s truck and in the center of the food truck park. They serve tons of beverages like coconut water and also have desserts. Although it’s not a Vegan truck, they also have one other Vegan option, the Aloha bowl(teriyaki tofu… yum!) that looked amazing too. You don’t want to miss Namu!

So excited to see the food cart pod at division Street! And what a variety of carts. Korean, Indian, Pizzas, Filipino, Chinese. Korean food was on my mind since a while and there it was«NAMU» beautifully decorated exteriors with a corner lot! There are some Hindu chants written near the delivery window. When asked, the chef said it was owner’s idea. It was going well with the cart décor. Liked: Customer service. Friendly and they customized my Aloha bowl as more spicy. Décor of the cart. Didn’t like: Aloha bowl how is tasted. Utter disappointment. Taste 1⁄5. Had dry sticky rice, Yakisoba noodles in bbq sauce, Chunks of tofu with namesake avocado and pineapple. I found the serving portion too small and didn’t taste anything like Hawaiian or Korean. Rating is for customer service and cart experience.

Delicious and slow. No one was in line ahead of me to order but it took them a while to come to the window to take my order. I got the Aloha bowl which is vegan. It took at least 20 minutes. I saw two people that ordered after me get their food. I tipped before all of this happened. Ugh

The longs were ridiculously long everywhere at this food cart on a Friday evening. My kid wanted bulgogi so we got it. I’m sad to say we wasted time, money, and most importantly stomach space. Quite disappointing. Tried the bulgogi cheese steak and the bulgogi plate. The rice was undercooked. The bulgogi was thick, tough, and too sweet. The banchan was ok. The cheesesteak was better, but still just ok. Many other choices in the pod that are better.
