There is no receipt printer at their register. Had I known this, I would not have visited. I needed a receipt because my visit was employer reimbursable. Upon my request, the staff grumpily wrote me a receipt by hand, slamming it down on the counter when done. Aside from the grumpy staff, my visit was good. The café is housed in an historic building which today hosts offices for«creative industries.» I loved the café’s décor and ambiance. The light fare I dined on was good, especially considering the low prices and space-constrained preparation environment.

This is my favorite coffee(beer/food) place to work at that is within walking distance. It’s open late which is stupendous, has my beloved bar seating with outlets, and scrumptious treats that keep me satisfied through all the excel spreadsheets. Service is whateves, but cute girls don’t have to be nice right?

If first impressions are important — and we can all agree that they are — then Ford Food and Drink is a winner. Housed in The Ford Building on the corner of SE11th and Division, Ford Food and Drink is part coffee shop, part café, part meeting space and all awesome. So, I’ve only been once and it was in the morning. From that visit I can tell you that they serve excellent Stumptown coffee, and since it comes out of an aeropress, refills are self-serve and complimentary(at least I hope, or else I owe them a buck or two). They have a small but thoughtful food menu, made from local and organic ingredients, with the baked goods made in-house. They sell fruit, which is awesome and for some reason the bulk of coffee shops don’t do that. It looks like the rest of the menu is sandwich and pizza heavy, two things I can get behind. As for the space, it’s open and has lots of windows for natural light. There are window counters to work from that have convenient electric outlets that pair well with the free wifi. Tables range from 2-seaters to large conference setups. They’re on a busy corner and the building is full of artsy businesses, so there’s a definite creative energy that permeates through the space. I could get used to working from here. So yeah, only one visit means I have a lot more to learn. But so far, I’m a great big fan of Ford Food and Drink.

Bright, open, welcoming, lots of seating variety(counter facing street, facing kitchen, high tables, low tables). Food is decent. Not always great, but at least interesting. They’re obviously trying, and I do appreciate the effort, but I just can’t get excited about FF&D.

Space has super-high ceilings, probably 15+ feet. It’s a nice mix of the original architecture as well as a more modern, industrial(exposed pipes, ducts, etc) feel. I had a fantastic cold brew and used the free wifi. Lots of varied seating(bar, high top counters, small tables, etc), and plenty of people around using laptops and studying on a Tuesday afternoon.

Lovely big space with lots of light, free wifi and excellent coffee. Have not tried food or drink but there is at least one beer on tap along with wine and bottled beer.

The turkey and provolone panini– how I love thee! My roommate and I came in for lunch before our appointments upstairs. I wasn’t expecting much, which was my first mistake. I should’ve known this place was going to be fantastic since it’s always crowded when I swing by. The panini had an incredible pesto sauce which went well with the turkey and cheese. It came with a side of chips, which was nice, but did I mention the sandwich? There was a guitarist in the corner who kept the ambiance nice and relaxed, and he made a few jokes here and there. It’s definitely a great place for a nice lunch or brunch on a Sunday.

Great space, good music, friendly staff, not GF friendly. We dropped by Ford at around 10 on a Saturday morning and were relieved to find seating-a-plenty on a weekend! The girl who took our orders was kind and patient, especially so by Portland customer service standards. She answered our questions with zero attitude ANDEVENMADE A JOKE. A joke! She made me feel all welcome and like a human being and stuff! We had hoped to get one of their yummy looking breakfast melts, but sub gluten-free bread. Unfortunately the melts are pre-made, so that was a no go. BUT the GF blueberry muffins we got instead were the knees of bees. I’m giving this place only a TEMPORARY3 star review because our coffee wasn’t very hot(although delicious), the creamer pots were empty and it was hard to eat here being GF(by medical necessity not by fad, so don’t you start with me young man). Temporary because, again, it was Saturday and they had probably just been hit hard and kind service beats all else in my book. We’ll definitely be back.

Been here multiple times and am always glad I came. Good people, good food, good beverage selection, and the perfect setting for a great café.

This place is cute but the people who work here are on vacation or something, like if I get my food to go don’t tell me its 8 minutes for a pizza and then have it take 40. You work in the food industry, you get paid to bring me food on time. TIP, also stands for to insure prompt service. No tip for you

Great space, one of the best for a coffee shop. Parking borderline sucks and if a trains rolls by, it’s nightmare time on busy SE Division. My first experience with the food was meh. For my second try I ordered the $ 4.50 Breakfast sandwich. Of the uncountable breakfast sandwiches/burritos I’ve had in Portland, this one is definitely in the lower quartile. Very small and somewhat flavorless; a little sliver of bacon. It was also luke-warm as it sat on the counter for quite sometime. The gal said she called out, but I didn’t hear her, my bad I guess.

The best coffee in SE and great choice of snacks like muffins and flat breads. Love their bagel with hummus. The staff is excellent and quick service.

Ford Food and Drink does what the name implies. It serves food and drink in the Ford building. Tricky, eh? Not really, but it’s still pretty great. This little café has the perfect mix of solid food, coffee, tea, wine, beer, cocktails and lots of tables with decent wifi. Where often many coffee-shops are fairly coffee/pastry-centric, hey definitely hit the sweet spot with sandwiches, salads, soups and more. For food, the ingredients are fresh, the dishes are tasty, the prices not too high, and the service is fast enough. Add in wifi and coffee-shop style atmosphere, and you have a good place to post up to get some work done, have a meeting, or simply take a trip to Laptopistan. Coffee is decent. For pure caffeination purposes it probably won’t displace my usual roaster haunts, but there’s nothing bad about what they’re slinging out here. Parking can be an issue(especially with all the MAX construction going on next door) and the bathroom(one that’s shared in the Ford building) could use some serious work. The marble is nice but the smell is atrocious. I rack it up to old plumbing, but the landlords should deal with it. It’s pretty gross. However it’s hard to blame Ford F&D for that.

One of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had the pleasure to consume was at this wonderful little café. I ordered an iced Americano with room for cream. We were seeing a show at the Aladdin in Portland, but wanted to find some good coffee. The guy at the box office said there was a good place on Division. What we didn’t know is how long the hike would be to get there. No worries, though — we just figured we could burn the extra calories. But, I was so impressed with the open, airy space and the friendliness of the guys behind the counter. The coffee wasn’t too strong and didn’t have that Starbucks burned taste. If we are ever in the area again, we are coming back for sure!

Ford Food and Drink is a great place to work. Great customer service and great energy for working or for hanging out. It is open late(10p.m. for most days) and you are surrounded by other working individuals. They have a decent amount of outlets, and a solid selection of food and drink. The only downside for me is the live music, but it only seem to happen occasionally. I highly recommend it!

This is a very fun space and is so very Portland. Coffee or tea with snacks that look quite good. A little bit of anything really — even wines and some booze. I had some St Germaine and champagne.

Breakfast Feb 20 Would like to give this a 3.5 Star Rating What I loved: Egg in a Frame, homemade wheat bread used in Egg in a Frame was incredible(Yes they make the wheat bread in house!), the atmosphere. My friend said the coffee was fabulous! What I didnt like: They burned my bacon and they didnt have milk. But this is a really cool neighborhood place and I would certainly go back again!

I met coworkers here today for a meeting and caffeine. I liked this place. It was well lit, has free wifi, served me a delicious latte, had some good looking food, and I received friendly service. I even found a parking spot not too far away. All around a decent experience. Sweet!
