Awesome brewery! The location has a great view of the Portland skyline. The staff were friendly and attentive. I’ve only been once, but I’ll return. The beers were good; several IPA’s on hand. The inside is open and modern. While there I didn’t purchase any food, but everything I saw looked delicious. My neighbor at the bar was a regular it seemed. He had only good things to say about their eats. I’m still scratching the surface of Portland breweries, with many left to explore. I’d put this one on your list!

The best brewery we went to during our stay in Portland. Awesome beers and we were so surprised at how delicious the foods were! Must agree it was the best meal we’ve had at Portland! Loving the astronomy theme of this brewery. This place is not located at central downtown so we ended up coming here when we did have a rental car. On a Sunday afternoon, this place was almost full except for a few tables. Fortunately the workers were kind enough to let us move tables and sit near the TV to watch football. My bf had the beef brisket and I had the steamed mussels. Omg the steamed mussels were probably the best I’ve had! Who knew mussels can be such a delicious dish? Steamed mussels in tomatoe base with 3 sour dough bread. The tomato base was soooo flavorful and very strong in garlic. So good. The sliced breads were well toasted and delish. The beef brisket was oh sooooooo tender. We had the steak frites as appetizer… yes steak fries. Steak fried… pretty interesting but I would stick to regular fries. We had 2 flights and a pint which were waaaaaaay to many beers for both of us but we persevered and drank all of them! All the beers were good, boasting with flavors, but I jumbled everything together that I don’t remember the beer experience anymore. Lol sorry! We stayed until the end of a playoff game. Great place to grab good foods and enjoy one of a kind beers.

The Farro Burger was delicious! I was a little skeptical since it’s vegetarian, and the veggie burgers I’ve had in the past were always dry. That was not the case for this burger. It was full of flavor and not dry at all. We ordered the cauliflower and that wasn’t as great as I’d hoped, too much vinegar in my opinion. The service wasn’t the best, but I’d still go back for a beer and the Farro burger. Nothing the staff did wrong, but our server definitely was not the friendliest or most helpful. It was our first time there and had a few questions but he had this annoyed look about him the whole time.

Came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Husband got the ecliptic burger and I got the farro burger. I’m not a vegetarian, but the farro burger was THEBEST vegetarian burger I’ve ever had! Nice and crunchy, tons of flavor and doesn’t fall apart like most veggie burgers! We also got two sampler trays with one of every beer. The ESB was surprisingly really good(not saying their beer is bad). Their beer is great! Pretty picky with beers, and these didn’t have any fermentation flaws that I could taste. Really friendly service too! WINNING!

Best things I’ve had here: The Ecliptic burger, medium rare. Fries and malt aioli on the side. Sometimes medium rare here ends up being medium, but I don’t mind too much. It’s still one of the best burgers in town. Love the combination of Russian dressing and gruyère. The fries are surprisingly tasty, but you have to ask for the aioli if you want it. Fries only come with ketchup. The deviled eggs with boquerones are SO tasty. They always ask if we know that boquerones are anchovies, which is a nice though unnecessary touch. It’s so annoying when people order things they aren’t familiar with and then complain because they actually don’t like that item, so let’s not encourage this obnoxious, entitled customer behavior. A friend has gotten the beet melt a few times and liked it, but I’ve never tried it myself. The salads are just okay, the chicken wings, and the gem finger steaks are just okay. Basically the rest of the menu is just okay. Service is consistently very good, even at the bar. I like that they section the bill into seats so it’s easy to split with friends. All in all, pretty good.

Food was delicious. Had the hamburger it was perfectly cooked, my son had the grilled cheese he loved it. Beer again was delicious. They had there company party the night before I was there so they had a fresh hop pale ale on tap left over… lucky me.

This is one of our favorite breweries. The head brewmaster and owner is such a legend. Great beer, service and food!

Beers were on-point. The spicy wing things were one of the best dishes we had in Portland. The cauliflower-heavy escabeche was bleh– unpleasantly tangy pickling and very crisp veggies. Our server wasn’t very friendly. Polite, but not personable. I’m not an astronomer or anything, but as awesome as the mural on the wall is… well…Mercury isn’t blue. To my knowledge. Which is limited. Internet.

Not only does this place have amazing beer, good food, and friendly service, but I met the owner/brewmaster and he has got to be one of the nicest guys I’ve met in the entire Portland beer community. This place started from an amazing story and that is something that makes me want to stand behind it and support it even more. But back to the beer, because that’s why you want to come here right? It’s amazing and I love the variety. The flight is a great option — choose any six from the menu. Bonuses — they have a great parking lot and plentiful outdoor seating!

Came on the Halloween night, so it wasn’t that crowded. The beer was awesome. This is my favorite brewery in Portland now. Can’t believe I waited this long to come. The waiter was wearing a pink bunny costume and he was super friendly/great. I tried the flight. You get to pick any six from the beer menu. My favorite one was Pollux Imperial IPA with 8% alchohol. Loved the flavor of the beer. They serve on a regular pint glass, not the typical brandy glass you see from other breweries. Yes, that’s what I am talking about. The place has awesome food. We tried the Ceasar Salad, Drumsticks, and Grilled Octopus. They were all tasty. They also have a kids menu and the place is kids friendly. Can’t wait to go back for more.

I’ve heard fabulous things about this place and it’s so close to my house. So glad I checked it out. I sat at the bar, and huge plus, was able to watch the Patriots game! I ordered the Ecliptic Burger because I needed to try this thing. It’s $ 2 off if you go during happy hour, but still, a $ 12 burger. The flavor was top-notch though. They add pancetta, red onion, melted gruyère cheese, and russian dressing — all on a potato bun. The flavor combination is amazing. Melty cheese. A delicious burger.

Very solid line-up of craft brews. Things like the Strawberry Moon Sour Ale which is a kettle patch soured ale or my favorite the Trans Pacific Pilsner. Their IPA’s are solid, as with all their other ales. Definitely worth the visit especially on a Craft Beer crawl in Portland.

Overall: My wife and I come here quite regularly for their Ecliptic burger and the great food. We’re big fans of this place, and consistently receive great service, drinks and food. Positive: — The food and beverages. Of course the beer is awesome. But the food, especially the burger, fries, and sides are really awesome. What’s better the ticket times and service has continuously been spot on over probably 10 visits or more. — Parking is plentiful. Sometimes packed in the lot, but always able to find nearby street parking. — Outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Enough said. — The Staff. The staff are consistently friend and warm. Negatives: — To be honest I don’t have anything negative to say. I really did try, but not gonna force it.

Such a long overdue update regarding Ecliptic! They have absolutely figured out their opening month jitters, and it is a great addition to the Mississippi scene. They’ve expanded their seating, and the beers and food continue to be delicious. Now I’m wishing I still lived mere blocks from here, I’d be ordering up a pint right now!

This place is far out. I really enjoyed how large the bar area was and they have a great lineup of beers to sample. The food menu looked okay, but I had pizza on my mind at a nearby place. Maybe next time. The bartender was super friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about their beer. I’m hoping to see their bottles sometime down in SoCal.

No complaints about the beer, I had the sour one and it was great Got the plough mans lunch(board of meats and cheese) and was disappointed… One of the meats was mortadella which I’m used to only getting on an Italian sub. There were only two pieces of bread for three of us and three cheeses Service was slow

Attentive service and delicious food. Oh yeah, and there’s beer too. I prefer cider, but not to worry, they have that as well! Reverend Nat’s on tap when I was there, which was incredibly tasty. Semi-sweet and full bodied. The staff really was excellent. We were able to get drinks almost as soon as we walked up to the bar. They brought water to our table and let us try all the different types of aioli with our fries. Malt vinegar aioli is the best! Indoor and outdoor seating. They open the door on summer evenings when the weather is cool enough. Great place for drinks with friends or colleagues or people you want to get to know more.

Sharp and put together place! Nice clean décor and modern feel, industrial, huge outdoor seating area, friendly staff. We had a coupla beers and the ploughman’s platter. Delish assortment but could use a little more bread please :) Server was very informative and gave us info and history about the brewer and establishment. Apparently the head brewer was originally from Mcmenamins and Deschutes and Full Sail. Love Deschutes but McMens and FS are not my faves. I think a lot of $ and historical Oregon brew love went into this place and we enjoyed it as stop number two on out Mississippi Saturday happy hour romp :)

The panda needs to get cracking on the local breweries. Ecliptic has roughly 10 of their beers on tap, with a cider option(usually Reverend Nat’s). 16 oz. pints are $ 4.75. ECLIPTICORBITERIPA($ 4.75): Nice citrus-hoppy flavor. Refreshing and drinks easier than the listed 7.4%. CHICKENSANDWICH($ 12): Thigh meat is marinated in fish sauce, and the pickled veggies give it an extra Asian influence. I got their soup of the day, which was Tomato & Fennel. Even that had a slight kick, a good bonus in my book. FRIEDRUSSETS($ 4): Basically a bucket of their fries. Properly salted and remained crisp well after it was brought out. I’ve also seen good reviews for the Ecliptic Burger($ 14), which includes ½ lb of beef, pancetta, red onion, aged Gruyère, and Russian dressing. Very good service. This is a great spot for beer and food.

Soooo much beer The boyfriend and I shared a flight here and were more than satisfied! They have so many different beers, and all with their distinct finish. I can’t describe it. The beertender was also very informative and friendly, giving us little nuggets of information and history about the brewery. Our favorite: Mintaka stout Other solid brews: Pollux, Filament Winter IPA, Canopus india wheat, Arcturus IPA, Pluto
