I needed to do laundry for a month at a coin op facility and decided to check this place out. There are so many washers available in different sizes, there are ample dryers, and best of all the place is safe, well lit and the people who work there are so nice. Had a lovely conversation with a staff member named Jason. He was great. Highly recommend this place for anyone needing to get laundry done at a coin op.

Best cleaner in the Pearl! Don’t waste your time or money elsewhere.

This is an okay place. T double loader washing machines seem small. price $ 2.25 for a load on their double loader washing machines. It runs about $ 1.50 for each dryer load. The plus is that this located in a great spot. So you can go get a beer at Rogue or 10 barrel while you wait on the laundry.

I have a W/D but my washer is not big enough to wash a massive dog bed I have. I called City Laundry first to make sure they had XL washers. The guy on the phone was very nice. When I got there, he greeted me and asked if I had just called. He lead me to the XL washers and helped get me started. I ran up to the hardware store and he kept an eye on my stuff. He even checked on me a couple times to make sure everything had gone well. Obviously laundry is not rocket science and I didn’t necessarily need his help, but the level of customer service was excellent. I will definitely go back when I have large items to wash.

Great place to do laundry if your traveling through Portland. The owner is very nice and helpful. Not the newest equipment but works none the less. 9 quarters to wash and to dry 1 quarter to start.

As a visitor to Portland who’s staying in a hotel and needed to do laundry, I picked a place I could easily walk to from downtown. I was a bit put off by the negative reviews: but DON“T BE! The place is terrific and the owner, who was initially a little brusque – it was close to closing and she wanted to make sure that I understood that – turned out to be friendly and helpful. I was glad I could buy enough detergent for one load and do a mess of socks, underwear, t-shirts, and other clothes that I needed for my trip(for which I packed lightly!). Expenses for a business like this being what they are, $ 1.00 for the soap seemed really fair – especially when you consider what just about any hotel charges to launder a pair of socks or a t-shirt(try 6 pairs of socks, underwear, a pair of jeans, and 4 t-shirts!). The premises are clean, the machines worked, and there was a table where I could hang out while my laundry was laundering. Did I mention that the owner was terrific, friendly & helpful? I’m a little bit stunned to report that I had a great experience doing laundry, in a coin-operated laundry, but it’s true.

Everyone is very nice and when you put money and clothes into the machines, they wash your clothes.

The facilities are kept clean and in order. The employees are very welcoming and friendly not to mention helpful. I had several items of expensive clothing I had taken to another cleaner who I thought had ruined my clothing. I took these articles here and they did a wonderful job of taking out the stains and treating the damaged fabric. I also have left an article of clothing behind after having washed and dried they pressed it for me and held onto it until I returned to pick up my dry cleaning with no extra charge. The only downside is the washers are a little small and outdated.

The lady was nice, she pointed me to the most expensive washer and drier on site. I also forgot my detergent somehow and she showed me where I could pay $ 1.50 or something for one load of TIDE. Which I was thankful for, thanked her for the option to buy soap, and then plunked the coins. Lots of space on the countertops make it nice place to do bills while the clothes are washing.

Looks like a family business. Everyone there was friendly and very helpful. Wish they had a tv. They also do wash and service kind of expensive but they are the cheapest in the area. It’s worth doing it when you have absouletly have no time and don’t feel like doing laundry. They do a great job!

after the dryer destroyed my shirt I would have liked to not be yelled at by the scary owner.
