Their Rock Shrimp & Dungeness Crabs Omelette is to die for! It’s so goood! Been here twice now and it doesn’t disappoint! They also give you some complimentary PB&J donuts, which is a bonus!

I’m reviewing my bank statement and either the menu prices are higher than what’s posted here, or I was overcharged, or someone wrote in a higher tip than I did. That aside, I was disappointed by the service here. The food was ok, but not great.

Went here with some girlfriends for brunch on a Sunday in Jan 2016. They had the Seahawks game on all of the TV’s which was nice. The complimentary donuts are A-MAZING our waitress was great and the food is good. I had the Farmers breakfast with bacon. I literally got like 5 pieces of bacon, which is impressive since normally when you order bacon at restaurants it’s like 1 – 2 pieces. I ordered my eggs over easy but it the egg white was still very runny, so they didn’t do the best with my eggs. But I would still go back. I mean bottomless mimosas and complimentary donuts?! HELLO!

Very rarely I give 5 stars. But have are here at least 4 times including a birthday dinner. Never had a single complaint. Best happy hour menu, awesome beers, and great selection of very well cooked food. Staff is always friendly and polite. Nice place to have a drink before Blazers game.

I came to Brix on a Sunday morning early hoping to snag a seat in the bar for the Seahawks game. The restaurant was less than half full but the hostess said they had no tables for 3 open for 3 hours. The hostess said the bar was open seating but there was reserved signs on all of the 10 open tables… We finally were able to get a table(2 hours later). The service was decent. The food was delicious! I got the Southern eggs Benedict. I have eaten at Brix before and the Southern eggs Benedict is now my favorite entrée there! Also there is bottomless mimosas for $ 9. Overall I enjoy Brix but I am confused why they leave so many tables open. Seems like a bad business plan. Empty seats means less money for the restaurant and staff.

One of my favorite go-to Happy Hour spots. Great food and drink menu. I’m not a martini person but I absolutely love the Juniper Martini.

Fun place to stop and grab food and drinks with friends, laid back atmosphere, friendly service. Brix Tavern is a good place in the Pearl if you want to stop for a simple bite to eat and just chill. I have visited for late night eats as well as weekend brunch with friends on multiple occasions. The restaurant is spacious and we have always been able to get a table with little to no wait, which is nice. Food here is pretty average. I like how they have a good selection of options on their menu. I have tried the shrimp and grits during brunch, which was a nice creamy and savory dish served with shrimp and soft cooked egg. There is also complimentary brunch doughnuts, which I felt were the winner of brunch here. The waitress did a great job keeping the mimosas flowing. Cheers! Overall, friendly service, food is alright. I look forward to checking out Brix again another time when in the mood for an easy hang out option.

Went there for New Year’s Eve party, and had a blast. I had heard they had good food, and my hearing did not let me down. Drinks were a generous poor, and service was on point.

As we were getting ready for a long night of beer tasting when I came across this place. While checking Unilocal I noticed a lot of tasty drinks and some good comments about happy hour. Now I am prepared to reiterate those comments. We simply got a couple specialty drinks for happy hour. The woman who helped us at the bar was super nice. With all the great options on the menu, it was hard to pick one and she helped us. She also let us sample some hop infused liquor. If we didn’t have plans to hit up a number of places after this we definitely would have stayed for dinner.

Endless mimosas. I thought about leaving that as my review, because really, what else is there? But I’ll say a bit more. The food: delicious. The staff: friendly and competent. The restaurant: clean and well appointed. The environment: maybe a little raucous at times, without much in the way of privacy or space, but otherwise fine. Overall enjoyable experience. I met a friend here that I hadn’t seen in some time for brunch. As I said, it was a little loud for a quality conversation, but again, there were bottomless mimosas. Delicious delicious mimosas. Before you go to walk around Portland; mimosas. In conclusion; mimosas.

ENDLESSMIMOSAS. This may be a common occurrence for all of you normal folk, but living in and visiting from Utah, where it’s an utter impossibility, endless mimosas are a gift sent from Dionysus, himself! [That’s an exaggeration… Dionysus was the god of wine.] The order was out of our mouths before we even sat down. Endless Mimosas for $ 9. Wat. Our waitress was excellent at keeping our champagne flute full of boozy OJ. Thank Dionysus we had no place to be today, and that we were just walking the entire town. Food wise, I decided to go with the Wild Mushroom and Brie omelet, as it was the only one that really spoke to me… but I am not the biggest fan of mushrooms [It was the caramelized onions added to this meal that sold me]. Due to this, I asked them if they could just add a ton of additional veggies to it. They accommodated without question, and as I recall I wasn’t charged for the added noms… but I had had(underlined and italicized:) many endless mimosas when I paid my bill… so… who knows… The omelet was good, and it was very interesting to add the distinct flavor of brie to it. Also, while reviewing the menu, I read that Brix utilizes fresh, local ingredients! A big plus in my book. I love me some local Portland veggies! We were happy with our experience here, and we loved the part of town where Brix was located. It’s very cute, and feels like claaassic hipster Portland. Get some Mimosas, people!

We arrived on a Sunday morning with a 9:30AM reservation and we were promptly seated and attentively served. Parking in the area is a challenge, but our patience was rewarded. I devoured my apple pancake, cups of good coffee, warm doughnut, and bottomless Mimosa. Our server was pleasant and attentive. All at our table of four enjoyed every bite; the omelettes were delicious. Soon after our arrival, the place became noticeably more crowded and ambient noise made conversation a bit more difficult, but this restaurant is obviously popular and I understand the reasons. We unanimously agreed it was a fine breakfast and I look forward to a return visit.

Let’s start with the best thing of my life: truffle macaroni. OMG, if this is any sort of explanation, I’m lactose intolerant and I didn’t regret this for one second. Definitely the best macaroni and cheese I’ve had, ever. Following this self-induced food coma, I shared, and also thoroughly enjoyed, the heath brownie after the server’s recommendation. Less than ideal: Skip the pizza for sure. The fondue also seemed like it had been sitting for a bit because it was not warm enough to live up to the implied consistency(though it still tasted decent) Overall the atmosphere of Brix Tavern is pleasant. They have an interesting VIP-seeming loft area in the back somewhat above the pool table and beyond that, a room that looks like it is reserved for large groups. Something to keep in mind: We had a group of 8 and sat in the main dining area at a large table. It was without a doubt difficult to converse with anyone that was not immediately next to me, as the restaurant is a bit on the louder side. But. The macaroni is 100 out of 5 stars(this was a group consensus). Do yourself a favor.

Great spot for crafted cocktails and noshes. Had the Brix chips: basically deconstructed nachos, and delicious! We ordered a second batch. We also had a large appetizer platter with shrimp/ribs/chicken/fondue… it was okay. The Bacon Mac and Cheese is worthe the heart attack, IMO: P Drinks are all about $ 9 and very good. Hubs liked that he could watch his basketball, and I liked that it wasn’t really a sports bar. I can’t wait to come back for flip night, where they flip a coin and your meal is comped if you call it. It’s also on my to-do for brunch. Bethany was a delight. We will be back!

Brix is a bit average in many ways. It’s not really memorable and i always wind up here because of others. even though it tries to be a bit of a higher class place, it’s still bar — food, food. the appetizer plate was meh, the tater tots are standard but so tiny for $ 5. so the food, and even the drinks are a bit overpriced. can’t say the food is memorable. however, hh looks decent and the price looks right. haven’t tried the brunch and mimosa deal, maybe that’s what makes it stand out.

So far! We shared a Red Quinoa salad for lunch: delicious. But a quinoa salad is not hard to make, so I want to come back another time to see what I think of other foods. One suggestion I read from another YE was to go to a restaurant a few times before writing a review, and I agree: it is too simplistic to pick one thing out of a three-page menu and comment on that one dish. So let me tell you about the ambiance instead. Sheri and I sat outside, also nice with the weather lately, which was actually doable because the tables were in the shade. Excellent service: the staff was quick and nice though we also had 2 servers and one replenishing our water. All in all a place I would like to return to, soon, to try some other items.

Losing a star because of the attitudes of some of the staff yesterday when we were there for brunch. Came with a big group of girls and the waitress snapped at two of us for trying each others drinks. Sister — do not snap at me.

Hands down– and I say this without hyperbole or exaggeration– the best breakfast I have EVER had. Portland reigns supreme for foodies. The shrimp and grits, substitute grits for hash-browns, was nothing short of a revelation. It was literally like every food network show I have seen where the host loses their shit over how amazing the food is on every level; it was like that. Hash-browns were buttery, cooked to perfection with this whimsical red sauce they used for the shrimp that bounced off the texture and flavor so complimentary and perfectly I was in awe with every bite. The shrimp were the freshest and tastiest I’ve ever had, the hollandaise sauce was light and exuded a heavenly taste upon the perfectly cooked eggs. It was magnificent. But, wait, there’s more! Before the meal even came they give you a plate of complimentary donuts that put Voodoo to shame. With splashes of blackberry and lemon cream across each, they highlighted the whole experience to come with a bravado that I don’t even know how to explain. So, everything is fantastic. Perhaps because it’s so wonderful, the service suffers. There were definitely a lot of people there and service was very slow because of it. The atmosphere was lovely and not suffocating, though, so it didn’t really bother me. The other thing, I might add, that threw off the perfect score was the mint lemonade that, for an extra four dollars, tasted nothing like mint at all because it was simply a leaf thrown in. The blackberry one was spectacular, though. Overall, this is a must go to, absolutely. I wish I could give it the perfect review and if it were on taste alone it would soar there easily. Just a couple of nagging things that don’t interfere with this experience. Bön Apetit!

After eating at Brix a few times, I have finally decided to write a review. Bottom line– Brix is fantastic! I came here for brunch and we were told to try the bottomless mimosas– definitely try those when you are in for brunch! The food is fresh and flavorful. Another time we came for Flip Wednesday. Basically at the end of your meal you flip a coin and if you call what it lands on, your entire meal is in the house. Pretty cool! Great atmosphere. Unfortunately we lost the coin toss haha! But make sure to try Brix chips!!! Finally I was there for brunch this past weekend. We ordered the chicken fried chicken and eggs. I loved it, chicken was perfectly cooked as well as everything else. Brix is definitely one of our favorites and we will keep coming back!

I was thoroughly please with my experience at Brix Tavern. My friend and I went to this restaurant through a friend’s recommendation. Boy, am I glad this place was recommended. We were seated as soon as we arrived. I look up from my chair and I see the nice panels that separate one side of the restaurant from the other. The ceilings are high and there is a loft(which seems to be a trend in Portland restaurants). It was well lit– cozy and modern ambiance at the same time. We opted for the bottomless mimosa brunch with our meal and boy, did they mean it when they said it was bottomless. Not once was my glass ever empty. I also enjoyed that there’s butcher paper and crayons to line the table. Such a good way to pass time as our order was being made. Their appetizers were donuts(are donuts a Portland thing?) drizzled with chocolate syrup. It tasted so fresh and delicious. I could have just had the donut and be happy. We ordered the banana almond French toast the benedicts. They were the perfect sweet and savory combination. The French toast came out in loaf form, which was so unique and so awesome that it is shareable. I will recommend this place to any of my friends going to Portland. A must try!
