This very small park in Playa Vista overlooks the Ballona Wetlands and provides a nice, elevated view towards Playa Del Mar and Marina Del Rey. The park rarely busy and there are some benches and a free telescope where you can catch a close view of the wildlife. Highly recommended.

Five stars for this tiny space, for 5 big reasons: I love the cool name of this park. It has a plaque dedicated to Ruth Galanter, see my photo. It overlooks Ballona Wetlands. The landscaping is just gorgeous, and the little park is perfectly designed to suit the shape & size of its area. Even the walkway is interesting, with insets of critters(see photos). There has been, since the beginning, much debate about the environmental impact of the Playa Vista development. I will reserve comment here, and just speak about the park. In addition to seating areas, the space offers 2 telescopes for enhanced viewing of the wetland on the other side of Lincoln. I just love this little park space. The taller plants look amazing when the ocean breeze sets them in motion. My 18 photos help to tell the story, but it was the wrong time of day for any picture to do justice to the wetland. Sunset would be the perfect time of day, so I have an excuse to go back for more…
