I am writing this posthumously as they are now closed. RIP… And stay that way. Do not reopen with a new name and same lame food/service. Enough said.

Used our Groupon to try Bistro On The Peak for the first time. The Groupon said«reservations required», so we made them for a Saturday night. The restaurant is 2⁄3 indoors, 1⁄3 outdoors. Not a single table was seated indoors, but nearly all the outdoor ones were taken. Despite our reservation, we still had to wait a little bit. I don’t really think you need to make a res if you don’t mind sitting indoors, considering it was essentially abandoned in there, save for the wait staff. They have a few house specialties to choose from, pastas, and pizzas. My husband and I both ordered gnocchi and the portions were HUGE. I definitely will get 3 full meals out of my order. Prices were typical for an Italian restaurant. Taste was good, but not anything especially memorable. My favorite part of the restaurant was the décor/lights adorning the outside terrace. How charming.

This location is a hidden gem in Parker.(So hidden that the restaurants have turned over a few times at this location.) Bistro on the Peak has a menu that ranges from burgers and pizza to fine Italian and steaks. I think they have finally found the right balance of quality and prices for the Parker area. Their patio is lovely. I really enjoyed the chicken with artichoke dish named after their head waiter Michael. Others at the table raved about the buffalo meatloaf and lobster and shrimp pasta appetizer was a delight.(although it is described as being served in a butter sauce it is much more of a curry favor). We sat on the patio and enjoyed a lovely evening on a quiet street. They had a very talented guitar player entertaining us as we dined. At the time of our our visit(June 29th) the restaurant was still going through some growing pains as they had no printed wine list(so easy to fix) and one of our entrees came out cold. Do give them a try I think you’ll have a great dining experience.
