Hatsuki is an awesome place to eat. Really good sushi, rolls, and sashimi. The ramen broth is not at par with the ramen houses in LA. But the redeeming quality is the amount of and quality of the ingredients with a good broth. But the best part here is the sashimi is good quality and fresh. So are the rolls. They may be not at par with the size and quantity of their korean sushi counterparts, but quality is all that matters to me. I’m glad the east side has a good sushi restaurant that we can go to.

Service was decent. Employees were extremely sweet. Food lacks serious seasoning. I know every ones palate is different but bland is bland is bland. Ordered sushi, it was decent. Ordered gyoza’s and they were over cooked and had no seasoning. We waited 57 minutes for 2 bowls of ramen. The food and experience were just mediocre. I’d go again to try something else in hopes of a better experience, but wouldn’t go out of my way for it. I do not recommend this to anyone with a matured palate.

We decided to try a sushi spot in the A. V and boy was that a bad choice! When we arrived I was excited the inside is small and cute! We ordered our sushi rolls and drinks and waited… and waited. and waited … And(you guessed it!) We waited some more! In total we waited a grand total of an hour and 45 min before we saw any food! We decided to take the rolls to go since the wait was sooooooooooooo long and we were already tired and sleepy. When we arrived home and tried the rolls they were so NOT worth the wait or the time! To be honest it was the worst sushi we’ve ever had! I noticed that they only have one person making food(which I believe might be the owner) and one waitress that seems a bit overwhelmed(she walks right by customers and disappears for long periods of time) and a lady that pops in and out of the back with drinks that does not speak English. Such a disappointing experience!

Decided to try this place on a whim. Left with no regrets. This place was pretty good. The vibe within the restaurant made me feel so relaxed and at home. The food was very enjoyable. It was like a home cooked meal. It was like comfort food. The service was nothing short of amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Would definitely come again.

Palmdale is full of surprises, Tokyo Sushi was one of them. Hatsuki keeps up the tradition. 5 stars would have worked if the help would have been attentive. The sushi chef is a sweetheart tho, makes the visit worthwhile.

Well this is the second time I’ve been here ever sense the management change. Food is still tasteful and made fresh. Today I had the hatsuki deluxe special and at the great price and also so yummski!!! From my last review of the place I gave this place a 4 star only because the rice on the sushi was a tad to much but today that all change and got 5 stars!!! Continue making great and tasteful sushi at a very adorable price!!!

Today I went to a new Japanese place that was local. According to Unilocal it was good.(I know I know, grain of salt and everything) First I had this. They called it Cajun Tuna Sashimi. Yes, you read that right. In short, it was delicious. However, I also had their ramen. In short, it was pretty bad. However, what surprised me was that the owner came to me on a whim to ask how I was doing. She managed to get the truth out of me. Told me that they only just started serving ramen. She somehow knew I was getting better ramen pretty far south of where I live. Not only that, she said that she wants to take feedback and research on how to make better ramen. If I were more of a ramen aficionado, I would have given her some pointers. My experience is limited though. In short, it was great little place. The people there were really nice and it was cozy. It also served as the first time I was really honest with a restaurant and that they took the time to listen to me. That’s why I’m giving it 5 stars rather than 4. The ramen is a new, experimental menu item. It shouldn’t count against them for attempting a requested item. Go there for the sushi, sashimi, and maybe the other items. Avoid the ramen unless you want to give them full on feedback.

There are some positives: friendly staff, quiet environment, fair prices. The negative part is the food. It was decent, but we’ve had better. I guess our expectations were a bit high since this is a japanese owned restaurant. The quality of the food was lacking in flavor. I would probably only go back for the uni sushi.

This was a lunch choice today. Not a great choice however. Staff was friendly and attentive. Tempura was perfect, but sauce was lacking. Soup was awful. Looked like miso but had some noodles, bits of tempura, and an odd flavor. Salad was good Tempura shrimp roll was like warm Spicy chicken wasn’t even close to what I had expected… deep fried pieces of chicken covered in a thick gravy. Thick gravy. Dining area was incredibly warm. I’d recommend some A/C.

My boyfriend brought me here. I’ve never heard of it so it was new for me. Besides a couple and their kids we were the only ones there. The service was excellent. Food was great! Best sushi I’ve had so far besides another restaurant in Lancaster. We were not aware that they closed at 9pm and my boyfriend and I did not leave till almost 10pm they never rushed us about it they were polite. We Had the California roll, salmon and crab. It was seriously yummy. Maybe they should update the place a little it’s a little tacky in a way. I’m not sure what other word to use. The only negative is that there was a little black thing floating on my water, looked like seaweed. But at least the water did not taste like nasty metal which is a plus! But other then that you should give this place a try!

Hatsuki is for fans of good sushi. Honestly It’s located off of Palmdale Blvd and 22nd st E NOT for fans who wish to spend $ 25 to stuff there face in just OK fish. You leave here just as full… off better quality fish, for half the price. Simple math folks. The owner Hatsuki is a very nice Japanese woman. She’s not Korean, not chinese, not Cambodian. She’s Japanese. Serving Japanese food at a Japanese restaurant and it was well worth my time and money. I had the sushi combo #A It comes with soup, salad, a California roll, and 6 hand sliced pieces of sushi. I also had a tall Asahi :) The sushi combo A was $ 10 maybe $ 12 bucks. With the beer my total was around $ 17 dollars. And I was VERY full and satisfied. I’m also a 6“4 man with a large appetite so if portion size is your concern, fear no more. The quality of the fish was superb. It’s never frozen, it’s not placed on top of loads of rice to fill you up. It’s just right. The rice is seasoned just right. Not to much vinegar, just the perfect amount. The atmosphere is Quant, quite, suttle, welcoming, overall refreshing. You forget your on the east side of Palmdale about 25 seconds after stepping into the restaurant. Please take this review into concideration. Go give Hatsuki a try, she’s really cool and really Japanese :) I’ll be back :)

Cute little restaurant in a small strip mall. Very clean and the entire staff was extremely friendly. Easily the best boba tea we’ve had. Teriyaki and stir-fry beef was a little tough to chew through but alright otherwise. Even the stir-fry veggies made excellent two-day old leftovers! Sushi was pretty alright but nothing spectacular. 5 stars for the boba, staff, and cleanliness but would probably try a different meat other than the beef unless you’re really into tougher meats.

I went there again LASTWEEK with my 2 sons and they really really loved the sushi alaska roll and red fusion which has spicy tuna with fresh basil leaves which was very unique and delicious … If you want to cool down nothing better then a sake cocktail with mango or sour apple flavor. they make this hand roll that you can hold with your favorite fish !!!

I ordered 3 rolls: Shrimp Tempura, Alaska, and Golden California. The Golden California is crispy and the crust good. The Alaska was flavorful and the sauces added good taste. The Shrimp Tempura was good and authentic. They were delicious! I really enjoyed it. Firat time there, and I plan on going again with a bigger party!

Wow! This place has the best sushi in all the AV. The traditional style sushi, sashimi, and rolls are all prepared by a lovely sushi chef named Hatuki who also happens to own the place. From the minute I got here I felt right at home thanks to Orlando who showed us the true meaning of guest service. First female sushi chef I have ever met, and I must say, she has the men beat when it comes to style, freshness, and overall flavor. Miss this place at your own risk

I came to this restaurant a couple of times in the past few years. I loved it. It was a good authentic change from the franchised popular sushi places in the AV. I was pretty bummed when I returned one night at saw that it was closed. Then read that it was going under new management/ownership. I kept an eye out for when it would re-open. And was thrilled to see that it finally had. Walking in we were immediately greeted by both the waitress and the sushi chef, who so happened to be the new owner. I loved that it all pretty much looked the same, but with some fresh additions. It was like a classic muscle car just recieved a new paint job. We ordered some dinner specials and sushi. Prior to your entrees, we enjoyed miso soup that had a more«like mom used to make it» taste. And a fresh crisp salad with a flavorful dressing. I pretty much licked my chop stick clean. My girlfriend is more of a creamy sweet dressing fan, but if she was to choose a vinegar based dressing she appreciate them to taste more like Hatsuki’s dressing. The mixed tempura was flaky and well cooked. My girlfriend had the Teriyaki chicken and truly loved how unique the flavor was. We later learned that the Teriyaki was Hatsuki’s mother’s recipe, thank you mom. And we both loved that the chicken had been changed from the nervy dark meat to a more juicy white meat. Nayeli, our waitress was so friendly and carried a beautiful smile as she spoke. As we were finishing our meal and hot tea, Hatsuki, the owner came to greet us at our table. We chatted about previous ownership and how happy we were that they re-opened. She was so sweet and fun. I truly recommend the hidden gem.
