Big tuna is big portions for great prices. Had the bento box and the portions were big. Miso soup, salad, tempura, meat, and a roll, all for around $ 16. I was full. Everything in the box was good, only thing was the meat was a little chew.

WELOVEBIGTUNA! I would recommend making a reservation because sometimes the wait is long for the all you can eat bar. The service is great and they seem to be very hard workers. Great sushi for what you can find in the AV or anywhere near.

Will forever drive from the sfv for some big tuna ! I have never had a bad experience and I go usually Fridays or Saturdays. environment is really chill they have music playing and tv’s on. They guys at the bar atresia awesome they get right on with your order and they’ll joke around when waiting for your next order! Of course some chefs are better than others but most are really nice

Came here yesterday for lunch with my boyfriend and his Mom & step dad. All I can say is WOW. Great food. Unfortunately I didn’t do the all you can eat sushi. I got the Chicken Catzu meal instead. The restaurant is nice, clean and the sushi bar is HUGE. Cant wait to come back and pig out on sushi. Great service and even as busy as this place was, wasn’t loud and annoying. Ha! Was the best couple hours I’ve spent out for food in a long time!

Best sushi and Japanese food i have had in a long time. Tempura was cooked just right without too much batter. Sashimi was fresh. Sushi was excellent. Staff friendly and service great. They are also flexible if u want to substitute one item for another.

I go here pretty often and waitress Nina is a sweetheart and all the guys that make the sushi that I’ve had are personable which makes the experience that much better. Albacore Special is the way to go!

I too was told a 20 minute wait, little did the owner know I was calling from the Lancaster location where the wait was an hour. I left Lancaster drove to palmdale and Waited another hour! If that wasn’t bad, as soon as a spot freed up the hostess asked of we wanted to do all you can eat at a table instead of the bar!!! If that was an option we should have been offered that an hour ago! The food is great like always, but the owners lies about how long the wait is is surely going to stay in my memory next time I crave sushi!

I love this place. When ever I come here with friends we have have a good time and get our total fill of sushi with the all you can eat sushi bar for only $ 22! The sushi itself is good and I’ve never had a problem with the service. It CAN get slow but of course that’s the same with all popular places. When there’s not too many other people the sushi chefs chat with you :3 They also offer green tea and plum ice cream for $ 1.75 and it’s delicious. There are half rolls available(a good idea for first timers to try a lot of different types) as well as soy paper. My favorite is the ultimate shrimp roll and the rainbow roll: D But be warned, they will charge you extra if you leave a lot of left over sushi.

Big Tuna offers an almost gourmet-quality at a reasonable rate. The food is plentiful and tastes fantastic. I’ve been going here for years and it is easily one of my family’s favorite restaurants. They have all the classic rolls you’d expect from a sushi place, along with a couple house specialties. I always go for the California roll(yum), and my family likes to mix things up, trying dragon rolls and other exotic rolls. Never have we left disappointed, and so I can honestly say a visit to Big Tuna ends with a Big Smile :)

DONOTGOHERE. Terrible sushi and it was empty when I went. It wasn’t my choice but from the reviews I was scared. Boy were they right. Awful quality.

Thinking of coming to Palmdale’s Big Tuna? –Bad idea. My husband and I love Big Tuna in Lancaster, but the standards at Palmdale Big Tuna are extremely low. First of all, our rolls were HUGE! They were so big, not even the filthiest of whores could eat it in one bite. They were also so sloppily rolled that all of our rolls fell apart once we picked them up. Despite the huge sloppy rolls, the sashimi was the size of a quarter. What a shame. Finally, the service here is surprising –in a BAD way. After our waitress brought us our food, we didn’t hear from her until we flagged her down for the check.

I’m a regular at Big Tuna. The quality just went down. When I ordered a «steak» teriyaki with my combo, it is not a steak it is thinly sliced beef teriyaki which is also on the menu. The manager raised the prices but quality sucks. I would not recommend the dine. Do the all you can eat because they value them more than people who eat and order less. The management needs to change.

Man, how times have changed. Within the first couple years of this place opening, it was solid. It probably was because there was no other competition since restaurants with AYCE sushi were scarce– let alone places serving sushi in general. Nowadays, the ratio of fish to rice is pathetic. It’s acceptable by AV norms, but not to anyone who’s had sushi outside of here. Get it together y’all, stop skimping!

Three of us had lunch today at Big Tuna Palmdale and, as always, the all-you-can-eat sushi at the sushi bar was excellent, as was the service from our chef and from the wait staff. We didn’t have reservations, but arrived as soon as they opened at 12:00 noon. Unfortunately a a large party of 10 got there before us, and after they and a few people in front of us were seated, the sushi-bar was completely full. We had to wait nearly an hour for the large party to leave. But to ease our wait, the greeter was kind enough to seat us at a table and they took our drink orders and offered us edamame to snack on. When we were seated at the bar, we ordered the salmon sushi, spicy tuna roll(without cucumber), dynamite, tempura roll, rainbow roll, Maine roll, and many other items from the menu. Everything was prepared quickly, presented beautifully, and tasted excellent. I’m attaching a photo of another really good roll(Ultimate Shrimp Roll?), that was also delicious! Our sushi chef was excellent! He was a beefy Asian guy with a goatee and he checked on us from time to time to see if we needed to order anything, made everything we ordered quickly and efficiently, and was very friendly, courteous, and professional. I asked him to make me something with salmon and spicy oil, and he made me a yummy wrap with rice paper, lettuce, orange, and salmon served in spicy oil and garnished with sesame seeds. It was delicious and had a nice spicy, but cool flavor from the citrus. As we were eating, the wait staff was constantly clearing plates, refilling our drinks, and making sure we had everything we needed. In particular, one of the waiters, a young guy with blond hair with shaved sides and colorful sleeve tatoos on his arms, was particularly nice and efficient. I can see why Big Tuna Palmdale is always crowded, since the food and the service are first-rate. I look forward to going back again very soon!

I used to like the place a lot more. The food is good but this time it was pretty much a joke how small the sashimi slices were. If this is too expensive to afford to cut a decent slice please raise the prices and get the food back in check. The size these sashimi slices are getting to are dangerously close to being as small as my thumbnail!!! I’m not some huge dude either. Otherwise it’s good.

Big Tuna is absolutely my favorite place to eat sushi in AV!!! Therefore, it’s hard for me to go anywhere else for all you can eat sushi. For the most part all the Chefs are friendly & interact with the customers. My wife & I enjoy when Sal is our Chef. He is one of the best guys there. Not sure if it’s because he’s a good Chef or just because he’s a cool person to talk too. Lol You can do all you can eat at the bar or you can order a la carte at the tables. I prefer all you can eat. The best bang for you money. Just make sure you come hungry lol They will feed you till you give up. Just don’t past out lmao My favorite sushi rolls are the Maine roll, Oh No roll, 101 roll, baked salmon roll. Must try… Spicy yellowtail sushi, spicy tuna sushi & cajun tuna!!! Those are so delicious!!! I always have to eat shrimp Tempura!!! My favorite appetizer.

I used to love Big Tuna. Love love love. I came back for the first time in years, and I will say that… service is still great. Food, however, seems to have gone downhill. It’s just not as good as it used to be. And it was never the best sushi by any means, but it was pretty good. I did the $ 25.95 all-you-can-eat and had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat at the sushi bar at around 7pm on a Tuesday. The sushi cooks are really good about checking on you and seeing what you want from the extensive list of apps, sushi and rolls. I started with miso soup and it was quite good. Throughout the night I had the following: Yellowtail sushi — pretty good, probably my favorite, as yellowtail usually is anywhere Striped Bass — just okay Octopus — pretty good, not too chewy! Squid — just okay Eel — very tasty Mackerel — just okay Salmon Skin Roll — very dry and flavorless. It used to be really good here. Unagi Tempura Roll — really quite good You can get half rolls too, which is great. Overall, disappointing. I did eat a ton, but only some of it was really good. Would I return? Maybe… I am just not sure.
