I love Asian cuisine so I decided to make my own dish. I was making butter chicken so I came here to get the ingredients. First of all very affordable and they have all kinds of fish but I wish they had vegetables as well. I got my ingredients and was really happy. Great customer service.

The aromas were intoxicating when I walked in the store. The spice aisle was amazing and had exactly what I was looking for. They had dough of all sorts in the freezer as well as fresh baked Naan. The shop keepers were super friendly, greeting everyone as they entered the store. I found the coolest wooden mortar and pestle, super cheap as well. They have beautiful tea and coffee sets for sale here as well. I always love field trips to exotic markets, it fuels my fire to cook again. This trip was just what I needed to get my cooking groove back on track. This is a must shop in my book! Beautiful sweet treats, pomegranate molasses, lentils and mung beans of every color and the most intoxicating spices known to man!

This market offers an interesting combination of Indian/Pakistani goods combined with an extensive selection of Middle Eastern products and a smattering of items from other parts of the world. They even sell several varieties of yerba maté from Argentina! If you’re looking for filo dough or kataif, they have a freezer cabinet full of it. They carry other things I thought I’d have to order online, like Greek tarama(carp roe). Of course they have a wide choice of Indian spices, grains, flours, pickles, chutneys, etc. Worth a trip! They’re located in the Indian Creek shopping center on the west side of Metcalf. The store is on the southern side of the complex, facing 105th St. In the same complex, on the northern side, is the Oriental Supermarket, so between the two stores they’ve pretty much got Asia covered!!!

I came here while visiting a friend and we were going to make a Sri Lankan dinner for friends. We needed a few specialized ingredients and she had found this place was a good one that carried everything we needed. It wasn’t too difficult to find and it was small enough that it wasn’t overwhelming. I found most everything on my list, and what I couldn’t find, the staff was more than willing to help me find, or suggest alternatives if they didn’t carry it(which was only 2 items). The staff member who helped me was from Pakistan and was really knowledgeable with the foods I was making and offered me several suggestions on ingredients and preparation. She also didn’t charge me for several items such as ginger because I was only buying a small amount. We ended up chatting for a bit about where she was from and how my friend and I got introduced to cuisine from the subcontinent. If you need Indian food ingredients or foods, I highly recommend this place.
