Not the biggest shop around, but the selection is great and the service has always been a cut above the other places I frequent. I’m a fan of Ruchi’s and I’m glad to say the market is pretty great too. They have kits you can buy to make your own pani puri!

Please look at your bill when you purchase anything from this store. He will charge for items you have not purchased. I have purchased one yogurt and he charged me for two. I usually trust people and never have the habit of checking my bill. But when I came home and looked at my bill, i was shocked. He is a total rip off. Even when you buy vegetables make sure you are being charged for the same vegetable that you purchased and not for some other higher priced one. This also happened to me before at the same store. Never will I be going to this place again. Beware buyers!!!

This new Indian grocery, apparently owned by the folks from Ruchi Indian Restaurant, opened in the same mini-mall at the SW corner of Antioch and College. The selection is quite complete. There seemed to be a lot of Gujarati specialties, but there are items for all Indian cuisines. I came in to check it out but ended up leaving with a small haul of goodies! This is a good place to shop if you’re looking for unusual dessert mixes, South Asian spices and seasonings in large quantities, ready to eat frozen Indian foods, and all kinds of bulk beans, rice and flours.(Gluten-free bakers should check out this market and the other Indian stores because they carry many usable flours at very affordable prices!) The staff are very sweet and friendly and if you get a store card you can earn points if you shop here frequently that can be redeemed for a free buffet lunch at Ruchi!
