Terrible service and very disorganized. They claimed 5 – 10 minutes to make my sandwich; it turned out to be almost 30.(and this was after waiting 15 min in line to order). Their process for orders is terrible, and most of their items they were having to cut slices because they ran out of pre peeped items. The potato salad comes out of a box. The one guy then got pissy with a woman after she told them the time she had been waiting and would have to come back. I even saw a guy scooping a sauce with a teaspoon to add into a bottle. There is no way this place should be rated high on Unilocal. They were sold out of a few items I wanted, so I settled for the pork and coleslaw. The pork also clearly came from a pre-packaged bag. Waste of time and money

First time coming here. Got some Belgium waffles. Very good. Would definitely come back and recommend to everyone. No inside seating but there’s a lot of tables around to sit on.

Love this place! Enjoy them being at the Farmers Market. Had the best pulled chicken sandwich with slaw on top today! Excellent spicy hotness… really good! The Green Smoothies are also amazing! Staff is incredible friendly as well.

Today I ventured down to Olympia. I don’t know why, maybe I was fed up with the government and wanted to chance running into someone who I could be a complaining citizen to, I don’t know. But our drive led us to downtown and we found the Farmers Market where Heyday Café has a little standalone stand. Reading through the specials, I was instantly drawn to the Hot Mess. No bread, but«smothered» in sausage gravy… yes, yes I will have some. Ummm…LIES…Where was the smothering of gravy? Yes, we had what would best be described as a spoonful, but I really wanted the smothered… maybe I need to request extra gravy next time? If I ever return to Olympia(rare chance) I may consider returning and making sure to request extra gravy.

I’ve eaten here several times — breakfast and lunch — and the food has always been good. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and wraps… and they even have chocolate malts. That’s next on my list. Today I had a cranberry, cream cheese, and lettuce wrap, and it was tasty. A good place for a quick bite when you’re in the market.

Heyday Café is open Saturdays only for the Winter Market. I had the grilled cheese sandwich today. The bread was crisp and buttery. The cheese was melted to perfection. You can choose to have bacon and tomatoes in your grilled cheese. I chose the diced tomatoes. If you like coffee or other hot drinks, this is a good place to go. They have hot cider, various types of coffee, and hot teas including herbal teas and chai tea. Heyday Café doesn’t take cards. Please remember to bring cash.

I love the Oly Farmers Market, and I love this place. Excellent coffee. Tasty food with awesome creative names. They even created a bacon-centric menu one weekend. How can you not appreciate and love that? I get consistent yummy treats here whether I go for a breakfast vibe or a sammie. Yay for the Heyday!

I think I got the«hot mess» which was an egg, cheese and sausage patty, smothered in gravy and sandwhiched between two hashbrown pattys. It sounds messy but it was actually pretty clean and DELICIOUS! Check out the pics. Even my fance who can’t stand greasy/messy breakfast foods loved it! It was very fresh and flavorfull! You gotta try it!

I think the earlier you come to the Farmer’s Market the better the food is. Once the lines start up, you are doomed to hurried workers trying to sling food as fast as they can in hot cramped booths. So with that in mind, I came early and had a waffle. Yes, the smiley waffle plate picture was my breakfast on a Sunday around 9am. Everything was good, the ends tender, and the bacon hard and crispy like I like it, rather like a giant bacon jerky. My waffle was crispy and tender inside. The butter was buttery. The ice tea was fresh. My only thoughts as I sat and thoughtfully waited for breakfast was they have WAYYYY too many choices of entrée for a small food booth. Just the sheer amount of switching and foods they have to have on hand must be insane to manage. But on the upside, must be great for picky people who are afraid of ethnic food or seafood. The cute«hippie» names are cute, but I’d narrow it down to the best sellers and make it easier for the cooking staff to do a super job.

Nothing like a bagel before power-shopping at the market on a sunny Saturday. They also have many other things — but I keep coming back to the bagel. Always friendly.
