This place does breakfast very well. During the regular season we tend to hit up Dingy’s for the crab cake benedict but since it is the winter market on Saturday only the choices are fewer and the Wurst hut is the one that is most reliably open before the farmers market opens. We have had several different items from them over the course of the winter market season and our favorite is the farmers scramble of 3 eggs, ham, onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese on top of their breakfast potatoes. The two of us split an order and often skip lunch since we are quite satisfied from the breakfast. On top of that it really is a tasty breakfast! We did give the McMaddie breakfast sandwich a try and while we liked the ingredients the white hamburger bun it was served on was too sweet and the bun turned to mush in your mouth. Like I said the egg, meat, fried onions, tomato were all great but the bun does not work. We also had the«hot hot or not» breakfast one time and I loved it but the other half thought the spicy sausage was too spicy. Service has always been very friendly and at my second visit I was recognized and welcomed back which is always nice. I really love that they get their eggs from one of the vendors at the market(we are now getting our eggs from the same vendor).

I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and although it was pretty good, I did wait about 20 minutes for it; far too long for me. In that 20 minutes, I was able to observe too many order mistakes, other long waits and we’re out of that.

Three years later and I gave it another shot. I ordered a brat — forgetting that I had tried it before and didn’t like it. I think their problem is that the sauerkraut makes the bun way too soggy(hint: strain it first). Also, their brats seem like they’re poached or boiled — not grilled. I remember getting brats in Wisconsin(the best in the U.S.), and they would poach the bratwurst and then grill them. Perfect. The grilling really brought out the flavor. Some places split the brat before grilling. The onions were cooked to death and didn’t add anything to the meal. I know, this is Oly, not the badger state… but one can always hope.

I’m a breakfast regular. Let me tell you – the breakfasts are good and cheap. One breakfast feeds me and my kid with some left over. Breakfast starts at 9 am! There are pancakes, eggs, and port potatoes. I enjoy their biscuits and gravy. Thursdays are still double-punch days for their punch card. They have take-out service. You can call the Bavarian Wurst booth with your order and pick it up. Bavarian Wurst is great for breakfast and good for buying gravy fries in the afternoon.

The staff were friendly and rather enjoyed my 8 month old daughter, making faces at her and telling us how cute she is.(We know.) I’d been craving some good Bavarian food ever since our last vacation in Leavenworth, so I was beyond excited to learn about this place. I ordered the Bockwurst, and it was so bland, it was borderline gross. The bun was just an ordinary hotdug bun, and a little soggy to boot. They put some bland tasting onions on it, and if it weren’t for the mustard I added, the thing would’ve had no flavor at all. The garlic fries, however, were a big, greasy, messy pile of awesomeness, but those are hard to screw up.

They serve brats, polish, knockwurst, and bock-wurst. It is a good place to stop if you like meat in tube form.

Toss out these old reviews, there’s a new owner who is awesome! I had the polish and my friend had the breakfast croissant sandwich. Both were filling and delicious. I don’t get to Olympia and the Market very often, but I have my new go-to food stand.

As I was waiting 2 hrs for a bus at the Olympia transit center, I decided to take a look at the Olympia Farmers Market to see what they had to eat. The only thing that looked good was Bavarian Wurst Llc, so I ordered a bratwurst with sauerkraut on a sesame bun. I added some ketchup and onions on it, and tore into it. It was pretty tasty, and had a bit of a snap to it which tells you the quality of it. It was fairly large and sloppy, so I needed extra napkins. I bought some kind of fruity slushy drink, which was pretty good too. I’d definitely go back to try some of their other sausages…
