I stopped by on a road trip from LA to Seattle, and had to stop by again on the way back down! Both times I had the vegan cheesesteak, it was so good I had to get another. Absolutely perfect. I missed the vegan food in the PNW, and was pleased to see that Olympia is just as charming and punk rock as it was when I moved away in 2001. Each time there were different staff, and they were all super friendly, cool and accommodating.

Really great food. I’m partial to the quesadillas, and they have a lot of great vegan options if that’s your thing. The drinks are also pretty good in general. The outdoor seating(though very limited) is a nice place to sit with your beer and watch the world go by. On top of that, the service is friendly. The only real problem I have with the place is how stuffy it can get. When it’s 100 degrees in your bar, I’m not really in the mood to sit around and hang out.

What a great place. The habanero homemade sauce was awesome! We had sandwiches with chicken and turkey and ride bread and sourdough bread and they were awesome. Great live music in the background.

This place really needs to abolish the pretentious, holier than thou attitude the majority of their staff uses to conduct business. I’m sitting here right now with two staff members standing with their backs to me for an awkward amount of time, then finally I ask«who’s the bartender here?»… One of the girls turns to me staring at her phone and says«we all kinda are», and looks back at her phone. So I say, «um, can I order a drink?» She answers(with no eye contact, in a monotone response) «yeah, give me a minute». She then proceeds to look at Facebook and pick out music, she audibly says this to other staff members. My friend says to me «wow, should we be thankful for their presence?», after a few minutes of waiting. Eventually, we are served, after repeating thrice times our order. Another staff member came to ask if we had paid for food or drink. We were honest and said no; but due to the lack of service, I think we easily could have said yes without anyone even noticing. The owners of this establishment should be aware of the blatant disregard for the very people who contribute to the ocean keeping their ship afloat. As is now, this shit is sinking.

I am always looking for really great vegan meals when out, and that is tough to do most of the time, but Le Voyeur has some really great options and I look forward to trying some additional menu choices. I absolutely love the Noodle Salad for lunch or really anytime it is fantastic. They grill the tofu and serve it with broccoli and buckwheat noodles and smother it with a delicious peanut sauce and serve it on a bed of cabbage, carrots, basil and cilantro tossed with lime it has great flavor, texture and taste.

Yes this restaurant is filthy, but man it’s good food. I have been eating the black bean quesadilla for about 15 years now, and it is always sooooo good. I crave this food on a regular basis. Love the attention they put into salads and dressings as well. I am not vegan or vegetarian, but my palette doesn’t feel depleted eating here; in fact, I have considered going th V route just because I have learned that food can be oh-so-tasty without necessarily having meat. Good job voyeur.

Amazing food, lots of incredible vegetarian/vegan options. Pretty much every thing is yummy, the spicy garlic fries and veggie delight are stand outs. Service is so-so and can be very slow. If there is a live band, order your food to go, it is LOUD in there. Also not for a germaphobe, the floors look like they have not been cleaned in decades. But the food is worth it!

IMO Le Voyeur is #1 For food in Olympia. Between their Avocado melt sandwhich, and stuffed Avocado entre, I could eat here the rest of my life and be happy ;-) Also, their Fries are sooo delicious, no one spices fries quite like Le Voyeur. Thank you Le Voyeur!

Great food and great shows and they treat artists with such great respect. This place is awesome. I definitely recommend Le Voyeur to anyone and everyone who’s a fan of live shows and sandwiches.

I read someone’s review who called the place quirky, but all I could think was FILTHY! Whatever profit they are making they are not putting back into the place. It is such a shame because our food was really quite good, but I think they are missing a huge opportunity to gain new customers by cleaning the place up some. You can still be edgy and quirky and still clean. Our service was also very good. The girl who took our order was extremely nice. Maybe she would have more than two people to serve at a time if the place wasn’t such a dump.

Seriously the worst customer service you could imagine. They do make good food, but since I leave pissed off after every time I’ve tried their food, I can’t go back. Also their menu prices online are several dollars less than what they actually charge you, and of course they don’t care if you point it out. I actually got the response«yeah our menu prices are f*cked up.» Ok… Their vibes are so bad, don’t go.

Delicious food with a quirky atmosphere. The staff were really helpful and genuinely cared that we liked the food. I’m vegan, so I knew I would like it, but my dad was skeptical. He got the turkey Reuben and was raving about it all weekend. Yes! I got the avocado melt, which was perfection.

A major Olympia cultural center with a tiny yet awesome venue in the back. The menu is hit or miss as far as flavor and the service takes a long time. However, well worth it when you find«your» Voyeur sandwich. You can also call in food ahead of time, which is how the pros play it.

Hands down this is my least favorite bar in Olympia. My girlfriend and I went there for a friend’s show last night and got the worst service I’ve had in any bar. With only 2 other people at the rail, it still took the bartender over 10 minutes to even talk to us. She also charged us 2 different prices for the exact same set of drinks. Want a dive bar with bartenders who actually serve you? Go the The Reef or McCoy’s.

The WORST service in the known galaxy. Went there with a buddy who flew in from North Carolina to attend the Vomedy comedy show. Arrogant, self-absorbed hipster staff who made it a point to ignore patrons while dragging their feet, disappearing for several minutes at a time and staring at their smart phones. The M.C.‘s for Vomedy were, for lack of a better description, ‘haters’. Their jokes weren’t ATALL funny and they were appallingly smug/condescending to the audience and performers. I recommend avoiding this festering outhouse. The Voyeur is a turd that must be flushed. Across the board, 101% yuck–

Last night my girlfriend, best friend and I walked in. She politely asked if there was any music being played in the back that evening. Bartenders response. «Does it look like there’s people waiting for a show? Do you see anyone in the back? Can’t you tell there’s people leaving out front? « Then he sneered at her and went about his business. Where I then approached the bar after seeing this and said he didn’t have to be a smart ass to her. He told me «I don’t have to be so sensitive«. … I don’t think he was in touch with the gravity of the situation and the sincerity of the lesson needed to clean up an attitude that bad. Needless to say that bartender and your establishment made a permanent enemy. If you were worth anything Id get some kind of apology. But you’re not. It showed in the employees you hire and what’s expected of them.

They don’t have the worst food. In fact, some of it is good(I guess). Nothing really special. The last time I was in there, I had ordered a salad. I was super nice(I work in a restaurant so I know how it is), but the guy acted very uninterested and honestly was a lil rude. I didn’t really think anything of it until this happened. There was a HUGE fat fly right in my salad! It was so disgusting. He didn’t even offer to make it free. I can’t believe I still tipped them(though it was like a dollar.). Last time I’m going there for food. I’ll still once in awhile stop by when theirs a show at night or to get a drink with friends.

Le Voyeur is my absolute favorite haunt for non-breakfast food. Their drinks are strong and well-crafted and I often fantasize about their menu while I’m other places. I believe that their best items are their garlic fries, the Spicy Crispy sandwich(delicious with tofu or chicken), the Tofu Broccoli Dance, Pita Platter, and Veggie Delight. Their soups are always amazing and always vegan(cream of mushroom is my favorite). Lots of folks have gripes with the staff. I think the staff members are really nice and cool~ conversational enough without being creepy/over-stepping boundaries. I guess I have met a few staff members who are a bit standoffish but honestly, if you are nice/respectful to these workers, they are nice to you. I see a lot of comments that if you aren’t pierced/alternative, they will not be nice to you. Wrong. I have brought my parents here(in their late 50s) as well as other non-Olympia guests. All have been treated with respect. Honestly, the only people I’ve seen treated«rudely» were bros. Bros who were openly mocking the gender neutral bathrooms and actually drew a dong under one of the gender neutral figures. So yeah, the«rudeness» was freaking necessary. As a trans person I feel safe and cared for at Le Voyeur.

This is one of my favorite places in Olympia and has been since my first visit out there. Vegan fare is not hard to find Olympia(and WA in general) but Le Voyeur pairs a pretty solid menu with the grittiness that I’ve come to love about the Pacific Northwest. They do brunch especially well, and I love their bloody mary pickled vegetable variations. The first time I went, they had green beans… it changed the way I made bloodys for years to come. Their hand-cut fries are awesomely thick and garlicky, but a bit inconsistent in how well they’re cooked. Even so, They’re awesome — and exceptionally useful if you’re either prepping for an evening of imbibing, or recovering from one. The Sloppy Hippie with tempeh was delicious and worth getting more than once. However, my favorite thing here is definitely the Tofu Scramble. It comes with the garlicky fries so basically it’s everything.
