Service here is HORRIBLE! I called to place a delivery catering order and the guy was not at all wanting to be helpful or friendly. He had to ask about delivery being available. Then I said I would call him back as I was getting so frustrated with this idiot and wanted to confer with a co-worker that it wasn’t me or maybe that it was! So, I call back and it rings and rings… then I call again and get a recording. I call back again and get some girl answers and proceeds to say to me «oh, that guy said that you might call back. What do you want?» Are you kidding me? Told to call back tomorrow and talk to him! They would only deliver the burritos and not any beverages or desserts. Who doesn’t have or deliver beverages or desserts? Then we get there for the luncheon and find out they had already delivered the food — long before the desired time. And they charged me a 15% gratuity for delivery! Food was COLD! but hey, at least the burritos were big! Try to use local places for luncheon meetings as I do these all over the US and a lot of them but, after this experience with QB, WILLNEVERUSETHENAGAIN! So hard to find QUALITYSERVICE at the local level! :(

I have never eaten here but this is always on our stop for a fun drink. Their bar(waaaay in the back) has a fabulous menu so come ready to get out if your comfort zone and try something new!

Great food but some of the most disappointing service. Server claimed that all the menus were old and incorrect and he wanted to overcharge me by three dollars on a twelve dollar burrito.

Here’s the thing. Great food. Horrible service. I’m writing my review after 5 years of patronage. The Olympia food service vibe is strong here. Fine, but my problem lies in the pickup/delivery. Many times my calls go unanswered. I get a voice recording saying they are busy. Um, okay. Tonight I tried for 25 minutes. I then proceeded to go to the restaurant itself, place a call and then walk in and find an unfilled restaurant, five employees milling around and a phone that is sitting there silent. I tell them there phone has been disconnected only to be told; No, we don’t answer the phone when we feel we are busy. That explains a LOT of frustrating, multiple and repeated calls I’ve placed to this business over the years. They simply hit mute and then decide when they want to pick up and take orders. Awesome guys!!!

I’ve had every vegan item on the menu. They are all pretty good, but not mind blowing. The food is consistent in quality. I had the vegan breakfast burrito tonight, but the vegan fried chikn tacos are worth trying once. The sauces are really what make it, as the breakfast burrito is drenched in spicy ranchero sauce and a thin tangy lime cilantro sauce and topped with guac. The inside of the burrito is refried beans, tofu, and potato, not interesting on their own. You can get vegan sausage instead of tofu, but they are out of it so often that I’ve stopped trying to order it. The water is warm, and smells and tastes like a swimming pool. It’s really really bad. Most of the time the glasses are spotty or dirty as well. With the artesian well a few blocks away you’d think they could have decent water, and are we not good enough for ice? Or at least refrigerated water? They haven’t changed their menu in a long time and they don’t have specials. There is a specials board, but no specials. I have never ever seen a special. Everything kinda tastes the same and without any specials, you can’t really mix it up. The service is terrible, alternating between pestering and abandonment. Tonight we ordered a glass-bottle soda and the waiter didn’t ever bring it, we had to ask a different waiter 25 minutes later to bring one. No one stopped at our table in those 25 minutes, but in the 5 minutes it took us to choose the food we wanted to order, the waitress stopped 3 times. I’ve asked to make substitutions by subbing the vegan chik’n into one of their non-vegan fish burritos to keep things interesting, but they said that it wasn’t allowed since they only make a certain amount of it, even after I told the waiter they could charge whatever they want. I try to avoid going here because none of the food is so good that I can forever overlook the poor service and warm smelly water.

Tried this place again to see if experience would be different. Burrito was fine, but the bloody Mary was horrible. I couldn’t taste any alcohol at all. I asked for a new one and explained, and the waitress told me, «If your gonna be picky, then don’t come in my f***ing joint». Never again.

Serious. It is American Mexican food, but it is the best AmMex I’ve had. It is on the lunch rotation and I look forward to this one the most. Lots of variety for everyone’s taste. The variety is great. Atmosphere is funky good. Not fancy. Food Suggestions: Get the Firebird but order it with steak(or FireCow). Quality sauce, great marinate and great options. The Pork Tacos are great too.

I haven’t been to QB in years now — moved down to LA back in 2012 — but I was munching on a leftover breakfast burrito earlier and this place totally popped into my head. Whenever I’d go to Olympia, I’d make sure I somehow managed to crowbar a trip to QB in… because the food there is bloody great. I started out ordering the steak, potato and bacon burrito, only to discover the firebird(I think it was called that) a little later. Both are amazing, big old foil-wrapped bundles of deliciousness that’re pretty damn cheap and tasty as shit. Also, they have super cheap drinks, which is nice. I vaguely remember the service being a bit spotty, depending on who ends up serving you, but honestly that’s going to pretty standard anywhere you eat in Oly. Alright, that’s pretty much all I can remember for now. Just wanted to write a quick review for QB because I miss the shit out of the place and wish they’d open up another one down here. Which they won’t. Le sigh.

The deep fried burrito was absolutely amazing. It’s really big but I ate as much as I could. Chips are yummy and the salsa is ok. Service is friendly and there’s a full bar! I would definitely come back here — next time I’m up north! Thanks QB!

The ranchero sauce is awful and it comes on so many things. I would articulate my distaste in depth but I prefer instead to recommend substituting the orange epazote sauce for those who eat animal products and the vegan chipotle aioli for those who don’t. The sweet potato fries bring me back more often than anything else, though the broccoli tacos are excellent if you are down with tempura inside corn tortillas. As always, service varies but I’ve lucked out with pretty excellent staff recently and their delivery is awesome when available. I also love the Sweet Niche cupcakes they stock.

I’ve been here a few times, and the last time I ate inside was the last time I went. The food has always been pretty fair, the prices are good for the amount you get as well. But, like I said — inside, it’s a whole other animal. Now, after working and living in Olympia for a while, you get kind of used to the hippy-ish semi-dirty type look that flaunts itself around those parts… but, when your food servers have more grease in their hair than there is in the fryer, and most of them look pretty disheveled and unkempt with dirt under their nails paired with a lack of customer service… there, is where I take issue. I like that they offer tasty vegan options, and the food always seem pretty fresh — but, if I could offer one piece of advice(and probably if you’re not a native Olympian) — order your food to go, or have someone pick it up for you. My appetite for this place was completely ruined when I finally made the quest inside.

Good sized burritos, easy to split in half at the table We ordered the Ranchero Burrito which had cabbage and grilled veggies(meat and tofu are an option). It was stuffed with black beans and rice and sour cream and salsa. $ 8.50 We ordered a side of rice and beans, too dry for my taste. $ 2.00 We topped the beans and rice with pickled jalepeno, carrots, and onion slices– perfection! $ 1.00 Seating is large red booths, located in the heart of downtown olympia. Black leather high chairs face the large 4th Ave window. Quiet place, makes for an intimate meal of you are in to that. Cool wait staff, efficient and friendly All in all– thumbs up for a burrito stop!

Dinner @ QB last night: ordered the Roni’s Riviera with grilled vegetables. The waitress was all smiles & SUPER-friendly, suggesting various items. My food arrived, looking like a giant beer can wrapped in aluminum foil: it was great!(See the photo: I put the fork on the plate for perspective). I dove right in & was instantly hooked! Chunky vegetables and chimichurri sauce — delicious! I ate the entire thing — ugh, maybe not 100% advisable — but it was THAT good! I received my check promptly & was one way. Biggest drawback: Metered parking on the street sucks!

Well then… that was the best dang burrito We have had in a long time! We popped open Unilocal and Quality Burrito was on the front page, so we decided why not?! We are so glad we decided to visited, we actually got delivery the next night and it was just as delicious. We both ordered the Deep Fried Burrito, one with steak and one with pork. Both were yummy, I couldn’t pick a favorite. The delivery we ordered was one Deep Fried steak burrito and the pork tacos… and again, just as delicious! The delivery was a tiny bit messy but not enough for me to complain, it’s messy food in general. Side note: remember to ask for forks and knives if you need them! The atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and I also love that the bar is separate from the main seating area. They had some hilarious photos on the walls that we enjoyed looking at while we were waiting on our food. It is downtown so parking is a little weird but we walked a block or two and it wasn’t bad, we actually love downtown Olympia.

The food itself is Dios mios! I had two carne asada tacos and the meat was delectably tender. I substituted the chimichuri sauce and it was amazingly spicey. There are a lot of vegan options as well including sweet potato fries and tofu. My companions lurved the fish tacos. This place is better than por que no in PDX. That being said, the kitchen was very slow mid-day at 3.30, it took 30 minutes to get our tacos. The bar opens for cocktails at 5. Cash only is accepted in the lounge.

I’ve made a point to visit QB on both of my trips to Olympia… vegan options? Duh, it’s Olympia. Kombucha-infused cocktails? YESPLEASE. My bff lives in Olympia now so the first time I went to see her new digs, she took me here for dinner and immediately ordered the sweet potato fries to share. While I tend to fall in the«sweet potato fries are overrated» camp(love roasted sweet potatoes, love regular french fries, but don’t understand the obsession with crossing the two), these are a particularly good take on the trend. My friend also adores their shrimp burritos — but I’ll have to take her word on that. Instead, I’ve opted for the vegan ranchero burrito — smothered vegan deliciousness. I hope to return someday for the vegan brunch burrito(my weakness in life, especially since it looks like their version excludes rice, my nemesis) — but the selection of kombucha cocktails are also a huge draw. I had been a fan of kombucha before coming here — and obviously I’m a fan of cocktails — but until QB, I never thought to put the two together… well done, QB. Thank you for opening my eyes. Also, there are two sides to this place — the restaurant side and the bar side. The restaurant side is brighter, colorful, and average ambiance. The bar side, however, is darker and more fitting for my general attitude when stuffing my face with a fat burrito and washing it down with booze. To each their own!

Quality Burrito is the bee’s knees. A burrito oasis in the desert that is Olympia Mexican food. QB filled the hole in my heart. I haven’t been in Oly in 3 years. My mama asked me, where do you wanna eat when you get here? I said, if I could only choose one place it would have to be QB. I vote the Deep Fried Cadillac. Also dank and delicious, the Joe’s Ranchero, Kermit’s Finger, and the Zucchini fritters. YUMM! They also have excellent cocktails, fresh squeezed OJ in your mimosa, and 99% of the time excellent service with a smile. Bonuses, they deliver!!! They have great hours!!! They have a bar section!!! They have a great sauce selection, and if you’re a sauce boss like I am, you can’t go wrong! Love love love. Yum. I live in So Cal, burrito heaven, and yet nothing compares to this fresh hippie bastard child of Mexican food.
