Place is a bit small and the floors are usually wet by their prices are unbeatable. Sometimes they have lobsters which are over 5lbs. Prices of crab is, on average, $ 1-$ 2 cheaper than SF. Their fish selection is ok. They also have some veggies and fruits for sale which look fresh.

I had a really crazy experience at Lucky seafood on Saturday 1÷31÷15. I’ve been here several times to purchase live crabs and fresh vegetables. I attempted to do the same on this day. It’s hard as heck to find parking. .we finally did. Picked out our veggies and headed to the tanks to get crabs. We just wanted two large dungeness crabs. The man came out the back, grabbed his net. We asked for two big ones. He put one big one and a very small one into the bag. We pointed out another big one and asked if he could give us that one. He said cash only. We answered, yeah we know we’ve been here before. He then said, these are 7.99per lb. We answered yes we know. He then yelled! No, you can only buy the ones that I already put in the bag, the others are reserved! I can’t sell. We put the vegetables down and left. I’m just saying, he was rude as heck. They should have reserved crabs separate from the others. I came to that market to purchase items that appeared to be available to all paying customers. Maybe mark the tank reserved and don’t pick from it at all. We left there and went to the Chinatown location on 8th Street, AMAZING the difference in customer service and it’s always been that way at this location. The man at 1201 E 12th st… should’ve flat out told us that he just didn’t want our business

This place looks gross. the floors are always wet and it smells. The seafood are laid out and because the place is so small, there’s a chance of bumping into people and falling into a file of fish. YUCK. Dead lobsters and crabs are sold at a discounted price.
